Absolutely love your running commentary! Between you DP, Aaron and NYM I don't watch regular TV at all anymore. BTW Chicken/Goat barn looks awesome!
Hey thanks Robert!
Robert you aren’t the only one not watching regular TV Anymore. Bought a new TV to replace my old one over two years ago, and i still haven’t even removed it from the box yet. It’s way more interesting to watch the Captain, dirt Perfect and various other CZcamsrs than the drivel they put on TV.
@@raymondrussell500. I could not agree with you more. Sometimes i connect my lap-top to my tv, and watch Captain Mike (and others on CZcams) on a big screen :)
Same here between six farmers two excavators one machinist and a coming show who needs TV. Oh let's not forget John Macarthur
The entertainment value this man generates by simply sharing his internal monologue is amazing
Lol thanks Chris
I love the running commentary. You have a great attitude and the commentary is very funny!
That shot driving through the water is pretty darn awesome. Great video.
Thanks Jared!
So that's why you're called Captain. Because you drive through high water. I didn't know you could captain a C8500. Learn something new everyday. Lol God bless
I missed an opportunity by not putting a captains hat on when driving through the water
Mike You Possess the Capability to Make Me Laugh Out Loud No Matter what kind of Mood I Happen to be In. The Tire Wash Station is Such a Convenience, Although the Power of the River is a Scary Thing as I’m sure You Would Know Better than I. Some Would Say That Erosion could Cause a Grand Canyon Over Time, I Don’t Know for Sure & Haven’t Personally Seen One. Another Great Video and
I Certainly Appreciate You Having us Along, Catch You On The next One. Keep It Safe Out There Sir !
Thanks for watching David!
Lieutenant Mike, I truly can not figure why your channel doesn't explode! Your commentary and runnung narrate is like listening to an old friend who has a great sense of humor. You mix up the content and run quality vids. not just content. Go figure. I have and will spread the word.
Appreciate the kind words!
"Fish habitat". Always forward thinking. Thanks Mike :)
Edit: You put the pipe in the pond so the fish can shelter inside it when it's raining ;) :D :-)
Lol, they hate the rain
Anybody getting into CZcams should learn from your videos they are the best no doubt you just know how to do it 👍
Lol thanks!
Mike, when you are good, you are good.Well done once again. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰🥰🥰
Total pleasure watching & listening to you do your thing!
Hey appreciate that!
Thank you for putting a big smile on my face and make me laugh you brighten my mornings and my day have a blessed day to you and your family
Always appreciate ya stopping by
The adage around here is 'turnaround don't drown' but every year we have someone who drives in and don't come out. Port and starboard :
Port wine is red Red right she's coming back. And with flying and boating it's the same. DP don't have worry about cleaning after ya :)
Let's get back to As the Barn Turns.
Love for you to show us around your fire department some time if you can? I am a former firefighter....Thanks. Great camera shots by the way!
Unfortunately not allowed to,. Thanks for watching!
DP is inviting Officer Hoover to pay him a visit. You need to fix your mudflaps. Great video!
Thanks for watching!
You are very entertaining Captain Mike. Not only did the tires get clean, but the camera got washed as well!! !😅🤣😂 Oh well, its all awash...hehehehe. Thanks for doing what you do. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
Thanks for watching John!
Might be time to put Kleeman's Ford on the county road map...ha! Maybe SOT can get y'all a sign.
Wheel wash...... remember what we tell everyone about standing water??? 😉😂
Good work, Captain. You sure monstered that loader . Well done.
Thanks Ian
Captain, your narration of your videos is hilarious! 😂😂. Really enjoy your work, thank you!
Good morning Captain. It turned out nice and tidy.
The tires also became clean when you drove in the water.
Hey appreciate ya watching!
The video of the bow wave was brilliant u don't often get to see if from a wheels pov
Thought it was cool! Thanks for watching
Mystery broken pipes. So that's what we're calling them now. Lol God bless
I have said it before and I will say it again THAT TRUCK SOUNDS EXCELLENT
Hey you got us wet, but it was cool shot of the water. :) Thank you and have a great day.
Thanks for watching!
Shaken, not stirred. Apparently works with chunks of concrete and clay pipe too. Thanks for the entertainment.
Lol, that's right!
I think you violated the no wake zone a few times!😂
Lol
Great stuff as usual…your fun narration of everyday work makes it super entertaining. I’m born and raised outside Cincinnati so I’m all too familiar with the high water the mighty Ohio river gives us…she’s both dangerous and beautiful.
Agree
I hate it when a "swift kick" doesn't persuade a giant hunk of concrete block into submission. "Rock 'em, sock 'em" for the win though every time! Good show as always Mike!
Here is a good reminder you are making the right decision in putting a barn door style gate on your rig lol
About 20 years ago, we had a flash flood go through my farm. In a matter of minutes six foot a creek bank was gone! Been filling it in ever since. Right after got my first dump truck, a Chevy 1-ton, I put a new roof on the house. I filled that baby full! I know the guys at the dump are still laughing at me. You know what happened, all those singles wedged under the tall gate. The load wouldn't dump and the bed wouldn't go down. There I was - stuck! Took me close to an hour of hand pulling shingles off the load, till it finally slid out! Never did that again! Great video, Mike! Lee
Lol, I've been there man, it's no fun.
Lol im more impressed you made it through the field than through the “wheel wash station”. We drive across flooded bridges here all the time in pick up trucks with water weeping into the doors but we know what height is the limit and whats not, people complain and put their “voluntary road monitor tape” across the bridges but we just drive on thru it but if DOT has barricades up we follow detours
Same here
Great job Mike
Good video Mike! Enjoyed it. Lt Dans tires gonna be dry rotted and new paint faded down by time y'all get it ready to haul. LoL 👦😁
Lol
I like your tire wash station, you wait long enough you open the door on your way thru and wash the cab out.
Congrats Captin K on cleaning-up the debris. lv ur videos.
Short and sweet Captain!
Thanks Veronica!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Very entertaining morning video. Glad to see everything worked out more or less with very minimal lasting consequences. My only recommendation when it comes to vacation planning is if you are in a use or loose situation look at it earlier in the year. I once was in the situation where I had to coordinate with coworkers to take days off for them to cover and they would then do the same for me. What started out as a fix for use or loose became a OT printer. Boss wasn’t as impressed with it as we were. 😂. Wishing you and your family the best.
Hahaha that's a good way to do it!
Love the parting of the SEA part of the vidio
Always a pleasure Mike. The shot of the water off the front tire was great.. Your methodic approach to getting the load to slide out is your trademark.
Gonna get over sometime this year for a face to face!!!
Local knowledge is key Captain, know your limitations and stick to them !!! The channel was "bank full" and started to go widthways or "lateral spread" as we say over here when we are at flooding and water rescue jobs....
And we all know everyone likes to take "the path of least resistance", water is the same!!
Loads of different camera angles, and your running commentary is always classic Mike !! 😎😎😎
And only seven sharp braking runs to dislodge the concrete lumps, woohoo !!! 🤣🤣🤣
The trench will settle down no problem plenty of fine material to bind it together!!!
Appreciate you watching as always alex!
that dump bed was getting a beating lol
Lol, that's why you'll never see Mike use an aluminum dump
Nice little clean up job ! Got to love the lumps that get stuck ! :)
not only does the Captain have great video content.....it's the humor that i love!!!
Thank you!
Underwater acreage is good for growing seaweed. Lol God bless
True lol
I usually get up on Sundays in time to watch your latest video before church. With the change in daylight savings time, I almost missed it. Thanks Mike, and keep up the good work.
Hope you made it in time!
Was that the neighbors fence you backed into? Woops! Liked your technique to empty the dump truck.
Lol,. It's mikes,. I keep forgetting to straighten it out
Driving through water is very much a function of the vehicle height and weight. The heavier, the faster the water has to be moving to push it significantly out of line. The higher, the less there is for the water to push against down low. Your passenger cars can get shoved off the road in less than six inches of moving water. Pickups with more ground clearance both weigh more and have less contact with the water at the six inch mark. The dump truck, especially when loaded, was in very little danger of being moved more than an inch off the desired line unless the water was moving much faster than it looked like in the video. Like another commenter said earlier, driving through the field was probably more hazardous to the completion of the job than driving through less than a foot of water. I just moved into a new-to-me house northwest of Paoli, so I need to learn the ins and outs of the local area's response to rainfall though the roller-coaster type hills did make the last couple of ice days a bit interesting :)
Another good video. When loading concrete, I used to try to get all of the big stuff on the bottom and below the top of the tailgate. Once the big stuff is in than load the smaller stuff. It might sound like it takes longer but you have less chance of the stuff hanging up. Also, when dumping back up to the pile and then raise the body, as soon as the load breaks start to pull up. You did a good job of dumping
Yup. That's the best way to do it. Alot easier with an excavator so a fella can pick through it
Happy New year🎉. Commented on 1/1/2023. Parking lot looks a lot better there bud
Thank you for the video! It was awesome! I had no idea y’all were that close to the river. As far as going through water, if it’s hard dirt underneath there is no worries
Thanks for watching!
that was like putting a block thru a round hole darn stuff but it worked. amazeing water level you get with that river. thanks for the fun and lafs cheers captain.
Hey appreciate ya watching!
7:59 That little hill can be skimmed off to fill the low spot. Keep a sledge handy for stubborn rocks and people.
Love leaving a small pile of tile and debris at end of cleanup, that way the new broken tiles will have company when they show up... 😉
Exactly lol
That was hilarious watching you get the big chuck unstuck. Great Video Capt
Thanks Josh!
Thanks for the video captain 👍👌😎✌️🇺🇲
Thanks for watching Ken
Nice crappy day project thanks for sharing
Definitely. Thanks for watching
@@CaptainKleeman we got like 5 inches of snow this weekend. 60 degrees Friday 15 sat nite now 23 tomorrow 60 again
Entertaining as always. Sunday morning, cup of coffee and Your videos. Thanks Mike. See You back at the chicken/goat barn.
Thanks Russel!
Looks good man , that trench will dry up and settle lol awesome video brother
Thanks man!
Nice job Mike 👍👍👍
Thanks Donald!
Another good video.
In Dp garage when Mrs Dp caught you on the new video system talking yourself thru a project i have aways wondered if during your real life duties if you talk yourself thru the important duties.
Anyway the on screen commentary helps see the unseen.
Keep it up
Yup backwater is definitely part of being on the river in southern Indiana. And yea dumping fill on the river bank is too.
Definitely
When I was driving a dump truck and we were cleaning up concrete the boss would not allow concrete being dumped in the bed of the trucks as it did damage to the truck beds then when we hauled dirt or even crusher run it would stick. So we would put a cushion of dirt in first and would only allow excavators with thumbs to gently set the big chunks or rocks in the bed of the trucks. We had to get alot of stuck material out of the truckbeds as we also hauled asphalt for a paving company. Had to spray diesel in the beds so it would slide out easy. Fun times. Seen a couple of 28' end dumps flip over because of unlevel ground and stuck material in the nose of the trailer. Inexperienced drivers!
Captain great video! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Thanks Kevin!
2 words. High Lift. Rocks, stumps or concrete are no problem. The extra 3 feet is a game changer on a tailgate.
The river came up alot during the day. When You live along a river the locals know whats safe and what isnt. I grew up next to the West Branch of the Suqenhanna River all my life. Its no where near as big as what You guys have. Great Video Mike.
Exactly,. Thanks Thomas
Great video Mike
Thanks Kevin!
Cool video Mike, love the camera shots, always enjoy watching.
Thanks Andy!
A bit late but 16.28 my thought was take it back to the yard and fill up ;-) since your half way back to the yard.
All the very best.
You continue to make great YT
That "tire cleaning station" doesn't do NEAR as well for a camera lens cleaning station. 😎
Lol
I think your enjoying your self today.
I try to!
Hey Capt. down here in south Louisiana we take T post and put them about a foot off the road on one side that away you know you’re staying on the road.
Thinking DP owes you a lunch as a bonus for wasing the under carriage while cleaning up the yard.
As always thank you for taking us along =) Sorry I couldn't be more helpful =)~
that looked like fun !!
It was!
Good video.
Thanks mike!
As always, thanks for sharing. :-)
Thanks for watching Chris!
Daylight Saving Has Me way off Track, Behind Already. Important thing is I’m Here Now.
Glad you made it!
@@CaptainKleeman Amen Mike, Possibly a Little Bit Late or Heck, Possibly a Lotta Bit Late but Lord Willing I Will Make it Just as Soon as I Can. Wouldn’t want to Miss not a One of Your Videos.
Pretty cool job you had today .. the water was definitely fun to watch … side note … I didn’t realize the the very first video I watched a couple years ago was dirt perfect doing asphalt millings on the market parking lot … when you were moving the trailer around it jogged my memory I guess , you were there driving the “roller “ and the drone crash at the end!
Lol yup
Another great video.
Thanks Chris!
Great video buddy really enjoyed it 👍
Thank you!
Mike, do you remember showing us the bank that eroded leaving a concave indention? Why not fill that hole in as it seems to be a favorite spot for the river to visit? Have good days!
thanks for the great video Mike
It may be harder to see in a large river as you have, not sure, but in the Wabash up here you can tell when the river is on the rise because tree limbs are in the middle. If it's falling the limbs are on the sides because when the river is filling the face of the water is slightly convex and on the fall slightly concave.
We see the same thing, normally here it's whole trees, docks, and alot of hottubs for some reason loln
water like that scares me. I live in the desert. i been gonna take some pics of the mighty muddy Rio Grande for a while - might just do that.
That's sounds fun!
Awesome Bud, just awesome ❤️👌
You’ve outdone yourself again great video.your play by play tutorial is always enlightening.I’m curious if you acquired your wit and humor from being around Dp,an Arron.either way keep on doing what your doing and carry on.great video 👍👍👍😎😎😎
My wit is a family tradition passed on from generation to generation. Newcomers fear our holiday gatherings. Lol
Really enjoyed the video
Thanks Jimmy!
I hear they are developing a herbicide to treat broken clay tile from growing on the lot. Stuff just pops out of nowhere! Pull 1 and 3 grow back in its place. 🤣
Good morning Captain
Makina eski ama güçlü dostum 👏👏👏
Good video. Landfilling solid debris is legal. Allowing it into a river without a permit is highly illegal. It appeared to be by the river.
Part of living along the Ohio river. I don’t think our side erodes that bad. Guess having trees or riprap along with slopes helps a lot. Being on the outside of a river bend could play a factor in making it worse maybe🤷🏼♂️
Definitely depends where you're at in the bend. Yo river a couple miles they actually gain land every year.
Well that sucks for the person loosing land but great for the other 🤣
If you take the top layer of clay pipe off first, there won't be as much pressure on the lower layers to roll.
Correct
It's snowing this morning in SW Michigan. Hopefully this the end of it. 🙂. Love the channel!! Thanks for the great content. Full-time watcher rarely a commenter. 🤣💯🤘
That's some pretty good improvisation sir!
BTW, got my shirt the other day, thanks again! Keep up the good work bud!
Glad you got it!!
“Normally, that swift kick works” 😂😂😂😂.
😂😂
Another great one, Mike. I like your way of remembering that up = unlock on the attachment thingie. I always had a hard time remembering port and starboard until I realized left and port have fewer letters and right and starboard have more letters.
Just a comment on how different things are from state to state. I'm in Maine. If it was discovered that someone was working, dumping stuff, that close to the river here, you'd end up with huge fines. You pretty much can't do anything with in 75 feet of the shoreline with out months and months of permitting if at all. That includes cutting down trees. The next distance that is important is the 250' mark. It's called Shore Land Zoning.
You reminded me of this old joke: Once upon a time there was a famous sea captain. This captain was very successful at what he did, for years he guided merchant ships all over the world. Never did stormy seas or pirates get the best of him. He was admired by his crew and fellow captains.
However, there was one thing different about this captain. Every morning he went through a strange ritual. He would lock himself in his captain’s quarters and open a small safe. In the safe was an envelope with a piece of paper inside. He would stare at the paper for a minute, then lock it back up. After, he would go about his daily duties.
For years this went on, and his crew became very curious. Was it a treasure map? Was it a letter from a long lost love? Everyone speculated about the contents of the strange envelope.
One day the captain died at sea. After laying the captain’s body to rest, the first mate led the entire crew into the captains quarters. He opened the safe, got the envelope, opened it and read it.
The first mate turned pale and showed the paper to the others. Four words were on the paper, two on two lines:
‘Port Left, Starboard Right’🤣
That is the exact same way I remember port and starboard! Lol that's funny.
@@steveharry8762 I like that, it would be me. In the city I liv in, there are a lot of old sea captain's homes dating back to the early 1800's. I wonder how many of them had safes?
That was a good one, had me laughing
Glad you enjoyed it
Bonjour Mike tu et le meilleur rien ne te résiste bravo toujours aller de l'avant et tout passe 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵🤗😘🤓 de papy Gilbert de France bisous bisous
Wow ya'll must me wealthy to have a tire wash station hahaha
Definitely a luxury lol
Great job with the Dump truck I couldn't help but notice Lt Dan was out of storage, that means by Aug or Sept We should be seeing it move back on DP's channel lol
It's still in there's just hard to see all alone in the dark back there lol
