Hello. This car has a lot of holes in the driver's floor, firewall, and around the door hinges. You replaced the panels, made a patch panel using a paper template, and welded the patch panel. You repaired the door, and all that went very well! Great results. Your work was hard. There's still hard work to come. Around the bed, figuring out where to mount the tank, etc. . . I'm looking forward to seeing this car come back to life with this project. :) Thanks for showing me. Thanks my friend.
Thank you so much my friend. It just takes time and patience's when replacing the rusted metal. Wishing the best this summer riding your motorcycle to more locations.
Nice work Lloyd! It's kinda fun making patterns and fixing rusted out spots. It sure makes you proud when you're done and see solid floors and kick panels, and you did it all on your own.
Hey Rusty, Wow, what a great project you have going on there, looks like the Champ is in capable hands for sure. In only one video you have done quite a bit of repair to those much needed areas. I like your decision to move the gas tank as well, I remember on a hot day in some of those Cabs back in the day the smell of gas was not such a good thing. Thanks for the upload - liked and shared.
Coming along nicely! Going from swiss cheese to white American. Being in Texas a little extra ventilation is ok as long as ya don't see the road from the inside! 🤣🤣
Using replacement panels isn't cheating Lloyd...I enjoyed welding the floors on that Holden I'm working on...She's nearly done now....Good stuff mate...Cheers.
nice to see someone build a unique classic pickup, glad you kept the original box, alot of guys take the easy route. im surprised you could find specific patch panels!
I’m wanting to install a GM automatic transmission in the Champ. Do you have any Studebaker friends that might have an adapter plate and flex plate for the conversion? Thanks
@@RustyGlovebox Don't know anyone who has a conversion for sale, but Phil Harris at Fairborn Studebaker is probably the best source for these adapter kits.
How's she goin'? Wow Rusty, you are a 'champ' for getting all that work done. The old truck is looking pretty good. You spent a lot of time and work to patch and fill and repair all the rust damage but it's going to be worth it! Take 'er easy!!
I didn’t talk about it but I was getting over a knee replacement. It been a while now so fingers crossed I can stay after it and make some progress now. Thanks and have a great weekend
Looks great Bud!! You're giving me flashbacks of the Ol' F100!! One bite at a time, you'll get it!!☻
I thought about you several times as the job progressed. W.W.RK.D🛠️😁👍 Have a great weekend
Hello "Rusty Glovebox"! Thank you for showing us such a great video! I feel very happy! I look forward to your next work! Have a nice day!
@@libmananchannel Thank you very much, it will take a while. But I will enjoy it.
You are channeling your inner Fitzee. That will be a real sweet truck when you're all done.
I need to stay focused on the truck. The longer it take me the more ideas and changes may happen...lol, Thanks Matt

@@Journeyman-Fixit Thank you very much, as you know it won’t happen quickly but every time I work on it the end gets closer.
Good feeling knowing that rusty stuff is out of there and replaced with fresh steel. You have made significant progress Lloyd. Nice work indeed. :)

That's a lot of work for sure. Bit at a time for the win 👍
Thanks Steve, yep kept me busy for a while but time well spent. Take care and have a great week
My goodness. You have a real project going on there but the progress is impressive.

Making great progress on the ole Champ! Looking good, hopefully I'll get back to mine soon. 🙂
Thanks, I hope I can keep it up. I have decided I am going to install power brakes on it. So I may be distracted with that for a little bit

Oh yes, Rusty for sure…lol. Thanks my friend and have a great weekend
that sure was a lot of work but looks great Lloyd are you planning on keeping the champ when it’s done
I will definitely keep it for several years. Just not many of the trucks around here anymore. Thanks Jeff and enjoy your weekend
She's coming together, the Swiss cheese looks better now, at least you won't be doing Fred Flintstone 😊.
Yep, the Flintstone floor is gone. Now tackling all the rest. Thanks Spongie and take care
