The impact is the perfect tool for taking blades off. It is the time of year when we are all doing maintenance on our mowers. Great job, it should be good for the season
Thanks Joseph, hopefully the mower will do a great job. We have gotten a lot of rain this year and it will be getting plenty of use. Have a great weekend
I just got done doing the same thing to my lawn tractor. On your blades, the very end of the blade should be square and not rounded, it'll give you a cleaner cut. And only about an inch of the end of the blade does the most cutting. Impacts are a mechanics best friend, and using a ratchet or wrench is the way to go on reinstalling. A little never-cease grease helps too. Happy mowing!!
Hello. Lawn mower blade replacement and park brake handle replacement. The edges of the old blade appear to be worn out. The new blade has a sharp edge. It's a good blade. There was a lot of dirt attached to the blade attachment. The old park brake handle has a broken claw. Each exchange was successful. And lawn mower maintenance! That's important. Thank you for showing me. Thank you my friend.
I beat your mowers see a lot of bags and plastic mowing for the public. Have you started mowing yet ? Most likely the snow is over. Thanks and have a great weekend Pat
Yes, they do. We'll start on the 15th this year. One more big property to get cleaned up next week. We just took the sander off the Ford yesterday. You too Lloyd.
That's one job I have to do.Bought new blades a few weeks ago but I wanted to mow a couple of times with the old one to chew up any pieces of sticks I missed when I cleaned up. I have a mountain on one side of me & woods on the other & believe me when the wind rips through I get quite a few sticks. The old ones lasted 10 years. They get beat up a little around here.🤣🤣
Maintenance is the best Rusty! That John Deere looks to be very well engineered, thanks for the upload!
I replaced a few blades. Impact is your friend. Good job Lloyd!
Thanks PAPA, you sure are right about those impacts. They sure speed the job up. Have a great weekend

Maintains is a never-ending part of life, but helps us healthy.

It's that time again. I have had to mow a couple times already.
I've mowed several times also. And need to do it again when it stops raining and dries out a little. Thanks Dan
That's a lot of splines , D130 is almost twice the price of 3 years back up here.
Those blades as long as they stay tight should never shear the drive . Thanks Steve, Cheers
