❤️ I love the excitement of the Back to School moments! The kids are excited to jump back into learning and its always fun to get a new book or try out a new program for learning! Our homeschool runs less like a classroom and more like the after school tutoring center in a library. Sometimes our kids are way ahead of schedule, sometimes they are a little behind and I've learned throughout the years that as long as a love for learning is fostered, they bloom and grow in their learning. Music is a big part of our homeschool too and seems to help with all aspects of learning! #homeschooling
Learning in your house appears to be much more fun and engaging than public school was for me.
🙏🙏❤️
Your such a sweet person and mama lol. I love your channel and how well you take care of your children . Your family is beautiful. Hugs to all patsy
Aw thank you so much!🙏❤️
My son, who’s now 32 years old, and a saxophone player. Waiting to hear on a doctoral program. His high school math teacher once said music, math & science have one thing in common….it’s all about numbers & if good in one area he’ll be good in the others.
Great to see you back! Love the ways you like the kids to learn 🙏❤
🙏❤️
I’ve been waiting for this video and so glad you made it! Thanks for sharing! I’m a curriculum geek and love to hear what others are using ❤️! God bless your school year 😊.

You might like The Good and the Beautiful. Their curriculum is so pretty!
I love your homeschool style!!
Missed you guys so much!!! So glad your back ❤️❤️❤️
So glad for a new blog!
❤️❤️🙏
I'm most impressed by the fact that you are adamant about not censoring your children's education. I wish this was more central to American home school education (and in-school education, too!). Your kids are really cultured, they interact with a diverse group of people and will continue to do so throughout their lives as they work, learn, live, travel. What you're doing is teaching them that there are many viewpoints, and you'll meet people who have a different philosophy than they do and it's not something to be afraid of. Inspiring a love of learning, as you're doing, starts and stops with encouraging deep thinking and abundant question asking!
Well said, definitely agree.
I really missed your vlogs ❤️, but I'm so happy that you have a sponsor 😍 congratulations and have a nice weekend fam 🥰 Mo is so cute at the end 😄
Thank you! 🙏❤️Yes! I wanted to include Mo’s super hero stunt haha!🥰
Great information Amber, thanks for sharing about your homeschool curriculum. I think real paper books are still important for kids learning.
Yes! There’s something really special about opening a book and reading from cover to cover!
So happy to see you ❤
Love the art on the wall 😊
Homeschool mom of 9 here! I love seeing other family’s curriculum!. 😀
I’m planning for year 3 with my grandson. He’s starting 6th grade and we use a variety of resources, too. Thank you for your recommendations!
❤️Awesome! He will definitely be benefited by your investment!

Love your content! I just finished my 20th year of homeschooling and graduated my last daughter this past May🎉 I learned so much along the way. Best wishes for this school year❤
Thank you!🙏❤️
Amber, you are so beautiful inside and out!
Hi!! So excited to see a new video up! Did I miss it are your kids still enrolled in the virtual public school? We are stepping into our 24th year of homeschooling, and I love these videos!! Going to museums are the best! Once a week, we head out and do learning. Field Trips are so much fun! Thank you for sharing!! Sending love from Wisconsin!💕
That’s so cool! We do have an online teacher that helps us stay in line! But most of our school is bookwork.
I'm a mom of 11,like you! I am in awe of your family and life...i homeschool as well, and wanted to know if you supplement the nightzookeeper with anything else for language arts? Looks really fun! Estera
Love this! Do you continue to homeschool during the summer?
Yes! Somewhat. Usually I try to finish up whatever we didn’t finish or just keep their math skills up.❤️
Homeschooling is so interesting to me and I think so beneficial in some cases. I feel kind of guilty saying this out loud, but I find myself desperately needing a break from my 4 and 6 year old 😅 I always wonder how homeschool moms handle that 24/7 job. Love my kids but I countdown the days until I get a small break when they’re in school 😅
How do you do it? (As far as being with them all the time?)
Haha yes! I understand the need for a break. Sometimes if I’ve had enough I put on a podcast or something to escape. Or even a walk can be refreshing. Usually after that I feel composed enough to keep going.
Exactement! L’école maison c’est une manière de vivre pour notre famille. Les enfants sont naturellement curieux, donc leurs enseigner l’amour d’apprendre et connaître la vérité! Comment trouver les réponses à leurs questions.
Pax et bonum!
❤️❤️❤️
❤
Do the kids have to pass tests to complete high school? For instance the Constitution test? Do the older ones go to Drivers Ed?
I homeschool my son and he goes to school to that’s important
I just spent a lot of time sharing some comments and they don't appear here. Can you tell me what happened to them?😢😮. Sorry, I just found them. They are embedded as a reply, so they are not seen as new comments. I hope you're able to find them and read them.
So sorry! Yes I usually push the “allow all comments” button. I will check!❤️
What’s the tv art thing? Is it an app for art?
It’s a Samsung tv that allows you to buy a yearly subscription to the art from different museums. I think it’s about $49/ year but the kids seem to learn a lot about art from it so it feels worth it.
Hi Marc and Lovely Amber. Amber you are a sweet home school Mama who is so caring of you kids. I love your channel. Is my sweet little darling Melody doing home schooling. Hi Melody 🥰Love YOU. I Think HOME Schooling is an individual thing for each kid. Some might want to be home schooled and some may want to go to Public school where there friend will be going. I would've love to been home schooled. But I went to Public school all the way up to finishing collage. I would like to see Melody's art work she makes for home school. Amber, museums are awesome to go to. American museum of natural of history in NYC is Great to go and see. Your little ones will love it, Enoch Melody even ANNA and Chloe would like it. Dr. Seuss was my books to read when I was Melody's age or See Spot run really the COOL😎 books, to read. Tell Elijah to wear mechanic's gloves when he skate boards to protect those magical fingers of his. Peace love And sweet Blessings to all. 🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💙💙💙💙💙🧡🧡✌🤟🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you!🙏❤️Yes I will tell Elijah your advice!👍🏼
When are you due, and do know if you are having a girl or boy.
We are due December 6th! I want to do a gender reveal this weekend!❤️
Do you guys to co ops
I think homeschooling is a great idea especially what is going on in public schools today!
Yes it’s getting crazier and crazier I think!
@@TheHappyCaravan my kids are now adults so we were lucky that this nonsense didn’t go on. If my kids were school aged I would’ve home schooled them in a heart beat. I love ur vids from ohio!
I agree that visiting museums is a great way of learning history. Although I was born in Chicago I spent all my childhood in Phoenix, Arizona where they didn't have any museums at the time. 😢When I was thirteen, just after I graduated from elementary school, our family visited all the beautiful museums in Chicago. The museum of Science and Industry, I believe, would take two or three days to go through the whole museum. When I home schooled, some 40 years later, Phoenix had some decent museums in which I took advantage of visiting with the children.
I believe I mentioned in a previous post that a great experience to teach American history during the colonial times is to visit Colonial Williamsburg. I took my daughter there after fifth grade along with her cousin. Some twenty years later, I sent my , 10 year old great great niece along with her father and my husband to visit the same sites after we studied together American history during the Colonial Times. We read the 5 books from the Rush Revere series by Rush. Limbaugh before they went on the trip. So I am confident, even though now she's back in public school, she has a good foundation understanding the beginning of our country by the Founding Fathers..
In teaching your child to read, have you used the program: "Teach your Child to Read in a 100 Easy Lessons"? It's the home school version of the DISTAR program that has been used in the public school system for over fifty years. When I taught in the public school system, I used the program, which was renamed : "Reading Mastery."
Presently, I'm using the home school version of the book,
teaching long distance my nephew, who is working with his 7 year old son in Mexico. I started to teach him reading when he was in kindergarten. And now that he is in Mexico. his dad is continuing teaching him to read English this summer before enrolling him in a public school in Mexico. I believe he needs to master reading English so he doesn't lose it, as they plan to live in Mexico for years. Next week I'll start working 1-2 -1 with my 4 year old great great nephew. I love teaching reading, being the child's first teacher.😊
School is good for kids. Send them to school
I messaged you ❤😊
You talk SO fast and your hands are frantically waving around in this video. 😵💫
Sorry about that❤️
@@TheHappyCaravan Hi, Amber! I wonder if people know that they can slow the playback speed to 75% 😉 For me, your animated style and speed is perfect. I catch every word because you sound like everyone I grew up with in SoCal 😊
Aw thanks! Yes I think I have that permanent Southern California style lol…❤️😅🥰
It isn’t that I can’t understand her it’s constructive criticism for something she profits from. I don’t mean anything hateful by it, maybe a microphone would help as well. Just saying.
ICR. Institute for Creation Research. Promotes fundamentalist Christian belief in the Bible as literal historical truth as SCIENCE, and a legitimate form of scientific inquiry, which it is not. This is not a love of learning, it’s the opposite.
