- Our family of 12 likes to eat! They are really fun to feed. I'm always amazed by how adventurous little Moses is! Squash? Beets? He eats it all! I'm glad I started making these videos because it's helped inspire me to try new recipes. Some are more successful than others😅 Also its fun document how our family revolves around the dinner table. Sometimes it's still full of computers when its time to eat, but its still so nice to eat together as a family. Eating on a budget also helps us be more creative too. I don't make a lot of meat dishes or I try to find dishes that don't require a ton of meat. I even tried a frittata this week! #largefamilymeals

I had to laugh. With your musical family, singing happy birthday in your home sounds very different than when it’s sung in mine! We are all basically tone deaf but sing with heart😂

Birthday blessings, Josiah. Im a Medieval Historian, so Im really impressed that you have dived into menus of the sometimes dodgy foods that people had as their everyday food. I specialised in Spain 711 to 1031..so I have RICE. Rice Puddings, Fried Rice, Rice with Lentils and Fried Onions, rice..rice..rice and SPICES. Perfect birthday singing there xx

Happy Birthday Josiah! 🎂🍨🎁🎈I love Beef Stroganoff, especially the way you two made it. Some people make it with ground beef (which is ok) but using the beef cubes or strips really makes it delicious. I like how your kids get in the kitchen and make delicious cakes, cookies and other desserts. But, it's all homemade! Your kids are not picky at all.
As a Vietnamese person, I loved that y'all had tried the bánh mì bowl! It looked so pretty and tasty, hope y'all can try out more Viet recipes in the future!🥰🥰
Yes! The kids have tried a lot of Vietnamese food because their piano teacher was from Vietnam and at the recitals she would bring the yummiest food!

Great video! I am so impressed by Josiah's affinity for early American History!! Loved his knowledgeable commentary when you went to the museum. I was further impressed that he participated in the July 4th SAR parade! And now again with his recreation of colonial beverages and cake. Wishing this young man a very Happy Birthday. Hi i hope you read this .Ive started watching your videos awhile ago and i truly think your an amazing family .The kids are very helpful and respectful , I watched a christmas video a few times and there was so many negitive comments about what and the amount of gifts you give your kids .That video got me thinking abot my christmas over the years and mind was living with my large family and we got a few small toys a new outfit of clothes a book and a stocking with a few pieces of fruit .I can and will always remember the joy in my heart the days leading up to christmas .The things i remember and tresure the most is going to church on Christmas eve , smelling the fresh fruit from the stockings , the beautiful meal cooking on the stove and the family being together, the new outfit i was so proud of and knowing how hard my parents worked to put this all together..I loved the toys and book also but that wasnt tge meaning for me it was family and being together was he true joy .When you get negitive comments fjust take it from me you know tge true meaning of christmas and dont ever change ❤❤

You don't have to cut open Spaghetti squash. Poke a few holes in each squash with a fork and either microwave or bake it under tender. A lot easier to cut open after its cooked. Cut it open and use a fork to pull the shredded squash off the peel.

My mom makes the best stroganoff and as a kid it was always my birthday request. She would use deer or elk from my grandad and serve over rice. It was so so yummy!

I was just watching a video and comments of another online family who celebrated their child's twenty first birthday and all it was was drinkingp. What was sad was the comments saying that is the normal. I don't remember when I turned 21 nor any of my friends turn 21 ever saying: "Wow, now we can drink."

In Brazil, we eat beef stroganoff on top of rice with French fries (potato sticks) and the sauce is a bit more tomato heavy. I love it that way so much more!

The pizza looks delicious with all those veggies. I recently found a very good easy pizza mix with wheat flour from Italy called DeLallo Pizza Dough. The yeast comes with the kit - just add warm water.
I order it through Walmart. I just got another shipment today.
I have been using Classica pizza sauce which is also from Walmart - good - no preservatives, but noticed that Walmart has an organic sauce called Lucini Italia Organic Tuscan Marinara Sauce. I’m going to try that next. I add Italian sausage to the Lentil soup and dice the carrots. My recipe is a copy cat version of Carabbas. We like to pour oil in a dish, sprinkle with seasoning, and dip bread when we have the soup.

U should look at the pasta sauces that Don't have any sugars... So much better but might cost a little more... Or even make ur own sauce and teach ur kids how to make it. Homemade sauce is WAY better😊❤

Glad to see another video! Happy Birthday, Josiah! The beef stroganoff and that cake looked really good ... when I have stroganoff, I have it with white rice instead of noodles. It was really interesting to watch Moses point to his nose, when he was trying to say it smells good. With the spaghetti squash, when I was a kid, my mother used the inside of the spaghetti squash and told us it was spaghetti (she just used the part that looked like it could be noodles)... and we believed her! It tasted just like it with spaghetti sauce on it! Hope you are feeling well!

My own recipe for pork loin, is to brown it in a Dutch oven. Put on a couple of tablespoons of fennel seed and a teaspoon of five spice powder. Finish cooking it in the oven. Salt and pepper to taste.
