- In the modern world, every human on the planet was turned into stone after a mysterious flash of light. This manga tells the story of how some people from the Pre-Petrification World try to rebuild civilization in the Petrification Age, the Stone World.

No, not necessarily. Most people who got petrified lost their consciousness, the only ones who remained conscious were those with very strong will like Taiju and Senku.
You can actually see in the anime that Senku is struggling to remain awake after petrification and decides to count to pass/calculate time to keep him awake.

@@fakemax2297 Senku reveals he got depetrified, due to his thinking, since his brain was consuming energy via thinking and thus deteriorating the ‘stone’ substance, I don’t actually know if this was said in the video itself

Dr stone literally became my favorite anime within a couple episodes. I even binge read the manga in a day starting from chapter 0 while listening to music and my god it was heavenly. I even got posters and lamps of Dr. Stone. It even helped choose what career I want to have when I grow up. 11/10 would recommend im crazy for this show/manga.

My girlfriend who's a big anime nerd said I would love the show. I love Civilization and I'm very intrigued by the concept of building a civilization from the stone age/ancient times. Naturally, I loooooved the show.

Alr so you really wanna spoil yourself, huh? Alr: "They" are robots. Small machines actually, that developed a hive-mind. They evolved over time and then found Earth. They thought to themselves: We need energy from intelligent persons, and as a reward, we give them eternal life.
In the anime, they will soon be known as the "why-man" (season 3).
That is cause they communicated with Earth a couple times: First they sent "Why why why why why why why ..." via morse code to the humans. This looked like a threat to the humans obviously, but in reality they wanted to ask "Why do you not prefer eternal life?"
Later in the story, they again send a message: "Do you want to die?" This again, looked like a threat, but it actually wasn't. They meant to ask "If you don't prefer eternal life, do you rather wish to die then?". They just couldnt understand that humans wanted to life freely and die, rather than to be trapped but live forever. In their believe, a species should care about living as long as possible, which is why they couldnt understand the desire of freedom of the humans.
Also yea, their first attempt only reached birds (I think it was a test, but I forgot the details). But later, they did it on the humans.

Everyone says that. But for some reason that I cannot adequately define, I just didn't like it. To the point it failed the 3 episode test. But I am glad you and everyone else liked it!

@@dragonboss2069 No, that is what is weird. I like the science stuff. It is everything else I have issues with, I think. Granted, the science stuff was quite dodgy but I did like it. Shrug. No biggie. Be a boring old world if we all liked and disliked the same stuff.

@Naruto Uzumaki expect it really isn’t. we humans no advantage with our tools. we don’t have claws, fangs, speed, strength, robustness or instincts (or at least not really as good in comparison). we don’t have anything that could penetrate. trying to punch the bear won’t get through the muscle or fur. martial arts won’t be nearly as effective if at all against non-human opponents due to the entirely different structure and behaviour. really the only way to kill one is to either have weapons/tools, hope the lion is really young and small or scare it away.
@@jolynecujoh2694 speak for yourself, your talking about the average human. The are superhumans out there. There chances of surviving a fight with a lion is higher compared to me and you. And besides tsukasa by far is no Normal human lol, have you seen his other feats.
@@Blaze-hq4ox im not really talking about survival, just realism (which won’t apply to tsukasa, admittedly that man is a monster) and killing them. also even a campion boxer’s hand would probably break on the first punch and not affect the lion at all. moral of the story: don’t try to fight a lion barehanded unless you’re an anime character

dr stone was one of those animes i never gave a second thought too but this video convinced me to finally watch it
Watching this anime made me Confident enough to survive in stone age😂... The way they build telephones, vehicles, electricity from the very first step of obtaining iron from ores seems so convenient like a tutorial for a beginner...
This is the next best anime that is educational all tho
It may have taken humanity centuries to discover all this stuff, but if there's at least one individual who knows all the chemical information and such from modern times it won't take too long to regain advancement.
Ive been seeing this manga at Mangafreak, I thought its about sorcery and magic. But turns out it has a more interesting plot. Would definitely try to watch this during offs and vacations

So basically, the first guy who wanted to declare his love to that girl just disappeared when the main character reached the village with the blonde ninja, as well as the "strong hunter" and the first girl herself. I think the author of the story forgot those 3 characters along the way, or maybe those will come back in another season.
Nah they didnt disappear nor did the author forget about the 3 characters, they will show up near the end of season 1 I think but definitely in season 2, its just the story follows the mc so it doesn’t really show what the other 3 are doing until the mc’s focus is back on them

before the youtube comment geniuses take this message too seriously, this anime is the most “realistic” anime I’ve ever seen. Again, we are talking about a story where people become petrified in stone like goddamn Medusa victims, so in n o w a y could this story be even borderline “possible. That being said: in comparison to shows where characters defeat gods, wield powers that can bend space & time, and acquire living souls - this storyline is shockingly closer to a non-fiction story. The characters aren’t insanely strong demon-like superhero robots, they are just people in the woods, surviving like anyone would attempt to, and shows the subsequent conflict between these “end time” living situations. It uses science that isn’t overcomplicated (rather than magic right off the bat) and stays consistent to this sentiment for what seems like a majority of the anime as a whole. Very interesting! ✌🏻
