This is a glitch that happens in some video games. Some value is counted down and something happens when it reaches zero, but sometimes the value can become negative and it just keeps counting forever. An example is the aggression level for Doom monsters. The value is set to some random value and counted down to make the monster attack at random times. If you are very lucky and the value gets decremented twice at the perfect time, the monster will end up moving around and never attacking forever.

its not a random number, in video games all numbers are stored as bits or bytes which come divisible by 8 some examples are a char, short, int, long, float, and a double which are equivalent to a set "amount" like 256, 512, 1024 but those are unisgned digits if they're signed the range would be split over 0 and be something like -128 to 127 or -256 to 255 or -512 to 511. If we take that last one as an example " -512 to 511 if you were at a count of -512 and lose one more point instead of going to -513 it would loop all the way to the other end of its range and become 511.

Plunderer is the name. This is a pretty cool anime. They started off a bit slow, but once they revealed the "Demon" i was fully invested haha. The anime picked up from there as well and took a more serious tone which i liked .Looking forward to season 2.

@@jaxs7n he really did, he basically focused on the first 3 or so eps then began rushing it, he basically fit half the season into the same time span as the first two eps, in a series that keeps most of the important stuff secret till that second half. The ballot vote, like 90% of the past arcs, the explanation for why Licht and Sonohara have crazy alteregos, and a bunch more.
I can understand why: he doesn't want to spoil too much, but he definitely skipped a lot of the show.

@@Blackmanoj16 it's dependant on his connection to his ballot. Basically at the moment, Licht (4700) is approximately at the speed of sound, while Plunderer (56000+) is able to move at relativistic speeds.

Plunderer is on of the most underrated anime I've ever seen. It's one of the first shows that I've ever watched. There's only one season, but it's very good.
I love Lichts character, he’s fucking hilarious with his pervy antics and then also such a fkn bad ass.

I read the manga and sadly dropped it midway because I was disappointed at this one character. SPOILER: This character basically genocided a whole town and turns out she was mind controlled. And then after she was freed, they all acted like the genocide never happened and she got off scott free. I hated the double standard.
But… like… my man has killed 300k people? And sonohara killed very little? Technically the helicopter wasn’t her fault.
That's what should happen, mind controlled, it's like blaming a sentient knife because it got used to stab someone by someone. When in fact the sentient knife shouldn't be blamed.
The way they moved on though seems rlly forced.

Ok let's be honest here, this show is a bunch of unsurprising plot twists that seem like they were written by some 7 year old. Don't get me wrong the show isn't bad, but it's not that good. I haven't seen the anime, but from what I heard in the recap I got a bad first impression. besides from what I've seen the main character doesn't feel like the main character at all, in fact a very important part of her journey is her mother, giving her the ballad which progresses the story even further. but the weirdest thing is that the show could've told us more about the abyss and what's in it, imagine if the main character gets her number down to zero and goes to the abyss, finds her mother, regains her ambition and finds a way to exit the abyss with the use of the ballad and break the order of their world that defines a person's reputation / power by their number. there's so much to the story that can be used to make the anime top tier but the script doesn't cut it. I hope the story can progress more in season 2.
PS: tell me if something like that happened in the manga because I haven't read it.

I watched this mistake a while ago and i think her mom is dead because of the void hand things. If you want to watch this horrible anime, turn your brain to "complete braindead mode" and watch it.
The summary isn’t quite accurate
The way the story is built is that it’s a normal world to normal people, but the ones that actually know secrets, they know that’s it’s a dystopia. Schnellman created on purpose using the alien tech on purpose to have one land with all the resources after the appocalypse
Haven't watch the anime, but you're kind of redundant for such an assertive opinion when you haven't watched the actual show or read the manga.

Could someone explain to me why alien technology in anime is overpowered as Fock? Like they create shiz that can break the universe itself and they always manage to accidentally give it to humans
Next you're gonna ask why cosmic eldritch beings beyond our universe with the potential to literally destroy our current reality and any alien technology out there can blend in with humans and sometimes help them out? The answer is there's always a bigger fish out there, and they're so overpowered they're bored to death, and they only see us as playthings.

Pretty sure Isaac Arthur has a video or two on that kind of stuff (plus a lot of more realistic and reasonable tech, like artificial planets the size of Jupiter with Earth-like gravity on all of there million+ layers, built around a black hole that uses the waste materials from star system sized computers to generate power for the whole thing...)
Imagine if you found an alien artifact and it was essentially a rice cooker. Maybe a bit more efficient than our current rice cookers, but just a rice cooker nonetheless. I bet that'd make for an great Macguffin for the story.
Generally us humans are stuck pretty far from alien beings, so to have a story that includes aliens requires either humans or aliens to have highly advanced technology to handle the distance. Either one side is going to be much inferior to the other (they lack hyperspace travel) or they're somewhat equivalent. Anime being anime, it dials this up to 11.
@@TheInsomniaddict plus, aliens and humans being the same tech level would be weird, considering that the universe had planets and stars that should be as habitable as ours for a few billion years before earth became habitable, and we're still at the start of the phase where habitable planets and stars are formed. Given that, we'd expect aliens to be somewhere between a couple of billions of years more advanced (consider that we discovered fire making ~100,000 years ago and suddenly a billion years seems terrifying), and barely starting to develop cyanobacteria...
Combined with the distance issue, it's basically guaranteed that fairly modern settings are only going to be interacting with aliens at least a few thousand years more advanced than us, and most likely about 1,000,000,000 years older and more advanced.

The reason why they became called Ace is because they were the first group of people that was experimented to wield that power and became tools of war after Due to war the earth starved a lot. And that's why they founded that new world more like a floating world above the earth. And made a number system depends on your passion or obsession. Once your number hits 0. It will drag you down back to earth which they called Abyss. Some of 'em lived tho once dragged down. That's why if you can see, once abyss attacks that small world, it includes modern tech like a helicopter.

Edit - 20:20 iirc he doesn't want to be an ace aswell, He's using his blood (because he has some special power) to help enhance them even more or increase their affinity something like that. I don't believe he actually wanted to become an ace, atleast not at the start.
it's season 2 got cancelled because of covid its also because his anime was made on 2020 it finished on July, and then after coving started and it got cancelled.

I wish the Plunderer anime wasn't such a let-down, quality and adaption were pretty strange and mostly awful, the manga is amazing. The Studio changed a ton of things, which ultimately made it nearly unwatchable as a fan of the Manga. So, read the Manga, ignore the anime.
