    Made a "Hell Knight" build with my Dragonborn warlock... Sellsword background and Took the perk that gives you heavy armor proficiency.

    There are some truly amazing spells/Invocations worth mentioning: Slow, Bestow Curse, & Contagion completely nerf dangerous enemies 👍🏾

    Great video and content. The Dragonborn/Fiend/Sellsword was fun and a more versatile build, but a little bit limited in scope for max melee. You’re going to use EB a lot more than you lead on. Of course you want to be in melee asap, but leading the charge with a ranged attack is often more beneficial than charging in and losing your tactical advantage. At level 5 you’ll be averaging 20-30 damage with a decent EB.
    You’re right about playing with stats, but you missed the part of utilizing magic items to facilitate for your gaps. The 1/2 orc and the DB are the normal choices, but a high Dex elf or 1/2 elf will gain you a lot more after a bit of playing. I used a rapier at level 3, until I found gauntlets of ogre str. Then I switched to a 2h sword. At endgame my elf has a 20 AC with his starting Warlock armor. There’s so many bonus str magic items, you can honestly stat dump str and then find/buy a 19-25 str belt/gauntlets to supplement your stat. Now I rock a giant Str belt and a 2h maul.
    Lastly, the Timekeeper has the highest DPS of the four subclasses. The fact that you can cast Haste (3rd att > malediction) or Grtr Invisibility (better for your team than the darkness/Devils sight combo) gets you more attacks or better att/Def, without relying on others buffs as much. If you have a good team, the likelihood of getting all three buffs (malediction+greater invisibility+haste) is pretty high.

    Nice video, probably should mention the Lifedrinker invocation at level 12.

      You are right, I did not mention it given most people will not get to level 12, but I should have. Cheers!

    Love all your Solasta content, it’s been really helpful. I’m using the UB mod now which has a great Patron option called SoulBlade which is basically a HexBlade from 5E. Let’s you do a pure CHA version of this melee build. Also multiclassing Paladin or Fighter on this build is super cool. I hope they add multiclass to the main game but for now it’s a reason why I always use the mod.

    • @VaniverseGaming
      @VaniverseGaming  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the post and comment. I cannot wait until they allow Multiclass! Cheers!

      @@VaniverseGaming If you enjoy this game man; get the Unfinished Business Mod. It's a collective effort by the community and basically allows for all the QoL things that aren't included in the game and gives the ability to multiclass (with custom subclasses) and even adds a few races. Mod is a must have.

    Had a concept made once for a Small sized reborn "mummy" who used a caestus wrapped in mummy bandages. To most he looked weird, a little creepy, but still small & "weak." Oh, boy, were they wrong. He was an Undead Bladelock (level 1 fighter) with a 1D4 Caestus as a pact weapon (Dexterity). At level 20 he was built pure tank with 225 HP (functionally 325+ HP with 6 uses of Form of Dread).
    Basic attacks were 2D4+9 with either an extra 4D8 for Green Flame Blade (converted to Necrotic damage) or an extra 6D8 Necrotic damage from Eldritch Smite.
    The first would heal an average of 29 HP with Eldritch Smite (16 without) & 30 with Finger of Death.

    note that you get ogre gauntlets early so you can dump strength to get 19 and later even upgrade to the belts that give 25 strength.

    • @VaniverseGaming
      @VaniverseGaming  Před rokem +1

      Yeah - I did not incorporate items when doing this build. I did in my other build videos I believe. Cheers!

      Invisibility spell & Beguiling Influence (Persuasion expertise) help very much to sneakily complete ogre power gauntlet quest before level 5. They can always be switched out later 👍🏾

    I run Bladelock with Wardenblade and a sheild. My Ac is insane. I dont pick up follow up strike because i just use thirsting blade.
    If you want a sheild tho, picking up Raise Sheild feat is fantastic especially against range.

    BG3 builds told me to dump strength to charisma after pact of blade , is STR important after pact of blade ?

    • @VaniverseGaming
      @VaniverseGaming  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Pact of the blade in BG3 was homebrewed. in BG3 yes, you do not need STR. In 5E tabletop Hexblade allows the CHA to be used, and in Solasta you cannot use CHA at all. Cheers!
