The way you describe your experiences as a child are so similar to my own experiences. I just thought all of these places I went to were haunted. A few years ago I went to see John Edward here in Melbourne (Australia) and in an audience of 2500 people, JE came to me and read me bringing through my best friend, my soul mate. JE said "this guy is always with you - like ALWAYS, ALWAYS with you!" and I said I knew that... and JE said "He never leaves your side, you're his person!" and I said I knew that too --- JE then said "OH! You can do this too, this thing I do, you can do it too!?" and I said yes, and I told JE I could see HIS aura, his Higher Self and a couple of his spirit guides 😇🕊

I'm nowhere near as gifted as Matt Fraser or John Edward, but I can certainly sense when there's spirits around me (which is most of the time - they're around all of us) --- and I can often see peoples auras, Higher Self, spirit guides (when I see spirit guides they are right in the aura of the person they are guiding) ---- and weirdly I too can see if people have negative entities attached to their aura.
I will have very strange intuitive senses like a premonition or prophecy ---- and it ends-up coming true, maybe not straight away, maybe in a few months time, but it will be very specific and when it happens it is very, very accurate. My spirit guide told me that I'm a spirit guide that has incarnated in flesh to assist guiding others --- and this feels very true for me.

My path is different from yours and John's because my abilities didn't really blossom till these last two years (I had a lot of Shadow work to do.) But I've had amazing spirits coming through to talk to me that I never would have met in real life but ended up meeting after their passing. Some come in because they're curious about my light, and they were ones who didn't believe in the afterlife while in a body. So that's an experience and a half hearing that kind of thing!

"Did your mom also depart?" Lady answers yes. Matt says ," Because your mother is stepping forward now.....she's like, what about me, I'm the mother, aren't you going to talk to me?" If the mother identified herself to Matt, why did he have to ask the lady if her mother is deceased? Why didn't Matt just say, "Hey, your mom is also here with you and she wants to be recognized as your mother. Too many questions for me to be a believer.
Came here to say the same. I believe mediumship is real, and maybe this guy is the real deal, but that question about her mom was a red flag.

There are a lot of videos with younger people who have lost someone and he's mostly right.
Must have been scary af when you were younger. Adolescence is when I learned 2 gain a better control on mine (clearaudience + esp) + shut the voices out a bit so I could perform like a normal human being in society lol.
