As Personality Dimensions Master Trainer, I have been aware of one-sideness for decades. With PD I talk about brightening our less bright colours.

Thanks to the PH team for reminding me about this via email! Also hi to Evan who I was sitting next to during the Gettysburg live recording back in August :)
Dario's comment about neural pathways getting "stuck" reminded me of something else, Paul Stamets and his book Mycelium Running. Of particular note is how he talks up the amazing qualities of the complex network of fungi that exist beneath our feet whenever we walk among the woods, but there's a thing he mentions, paraphrasing- When walking in the woods, don't be afraid to step off the "path" and crunch the undergrowth a bit. Part of it is that you're moving wood material further into the ground with the weight of your body, but part of it is that you're "scrambling" the mycorrhizal network under your feet and stimulating the network to regrow. A bit of "creative destruction" I guess. It seems this is an apt analogy for what we need (I've never tried psychedelics but I wonder if they're accomplishing something like that, smashing up some networks and creating chaos)

Important topic. Especially as many Americans seem to be intentionally choosing one-sidedness. I've always had a saying about doing psychedelics once a year to keep me honest... maybe what I really meant was open.

I like when Dr. Dario Nardi mentioned that we need to celebrate our type so I do this every day as an INTP I wouldn't change my type for anything. Good content you three really get to the meat of things that substance we all need to be multidimensional and not one-sided to grow as individuals .
