Do you think naked street bikes over 200HP are too much for street use?

Because there are several on the market, I disagree with Rembo on that.

Definitely not, they can be tamed, but the power is there if you need it.

Yes pretty much but who cares. It's about the emotion you get out of it... motorcycles are irrational machines anyway

Impressive how the stock exhaust on the Streetfighter and Panigale bikes sound SO much better than even the Akrapovic on the Pikes Peak.

I started watching this video to listen to that glorious sound of the SP, and then I thought that I recognized that street. When you crossed McNab Rd, I recognized where you were. I used to live just west of there in the Palm Aire area. Now I'm back in NC where I grew up. I never did own a motorbike during the 13 years I lived in south FL. The roads just didn't inspire me. But that SP is brilliant!

Thank you for sharing Jim. You now live somewhere that has much better roads for riding motorcycles.

Sounds pretty good for a stock exhaust. I appreciate the love for the V2. The V2 was my pick. Love that bike. You've almost got me convinced to get a Pikes Peak though.

This is a category of bikes where I might go back to my many KTMs and grabs Super Duke Evo R as it seems more accessible performance with max redline of 10,500--much like my Pikes peak does--and a bit more spread out seating position. SD Evo R has been "winning" comparos as it brings the "most smiles per mile".

Luv your Videos, but please improve sound quality of your in helmet Audio it is way to muffled and sounds bad. Keep up the great content. 🙂

Yes, I am still working on that. That is always a work in progress. As soon as I close the visor, the sound is definitely muffled.

Had you asked me about the sf two months ago, I would have said that the sf is the greatest bike I ever owned. Then I got the MSV4S and everything changed. In the last 2 months I put 2k kms on the MS and 10 kms on the SF. The SF is too fast, too rough, nowhere near as comfortable as the MS. I will not sell it but I will not be using it much either. Great review.

Indeed most bikes have more power than you can use legally on the road! This is the ultimate in power that can never be reached, over 10k RPM I guess becomes totally mad.

It really wakes up over 10 K

I have the same bike. They really wake up with a spark exhaust and a tune. We normally do about 6 hours a day. Any more, and you're pretty tired. Definitely for very spirited riding only. They are a bit rowdy for traffic lol

Rembo, you need one of each. I have both and they are awesome. The SF just makes you want to be naughty though.

    • @RemboUSMC
      @RemboUSMC  Před rokem +1

I could definitely understand that. They are both fantastic bikes.

Dry clutch? Now that's Italian. I don't know how they've improved, but that was about a 12k mile expense to change when I rode Ducs in the early 2000's. Easy to do, but they didn't used to last like wet ones. Great sound though. Makes everyone think something's about ready to break. I used to have a t-shirt back then that summed it up perfectly: "Loud clutches save lives!"
I was waiting to see the results of your acceleration experiment. I currently have a naked Thruxton and it becomes a handful over the ton. Not as bad as a cruiser at that speed, but you gotta be kissing the tank for best results.
Funny how much difference some wind protection makes. My HD will run down the road at 100 mph feeling unstressed. That's about all it will deliver, but it doesn't feel any different than riding it at 60 mph except the lines go by faster.
My favorite of the current Duc lineup is the Supersport. That engine produces nearly electric linear power across the range and plenty of it for a sub 500 lb street bike. I'm also a big fan of Duc's chromoly trellis frames. The fact it can carry bags is important in Ohio as the temps are liable to change a lot over the day here. I also like having a puncture kit/pump with me.
This one is a little too hyper focused, but it looks good and I'm sure Duc probably sells more of them than anything practical. I just ride too much for impractical.
I think you're right about Cali or the west in general. Their mountain roads tend to have a lot of roads with big sweepers where this thing would shine. A bit of overkill for the tight stuff on our mountain roads in the east.

I've yet to hear a V4 dry clutch that lasted 12k miles LOL
You get 7-8k miles if you baby it.

And some better wind protection, a proper pillion seat... A Super Duke GT of sorts. That would be awesome. I just can't like the Multistrada looks.

если учесть ,что это серийная модель то для байка это круто

  • @mattstakeontheancients7594

Too much power for me. It is a gorgeous bike with a ton of electronics. All ducatis look gorgeous but more leaning towards the V2. Little more affordable and with 150 Hp is plenty for me. Reason I’d want a s1000r over a RR. 200+ hp is way more than I’d ever need.Think I’d want your multi over the street fighter as I think it be better for long travel but anyone who doesn’t think this bike is gorgeous is crazy. Would say the only way a cop is pulling you over on that bike is if you let them.
