I used to work in a movie theater, and one night I found an entire extra large pizza box, completely empty, after the show was over. Ever since then, I've wondered just how the hell they managed to sneak that thing in. Now, I not only know how they did it, but I also know that it was Courtney.
My theater straight up sells full pizzas so it wouldn't be a mystery for me. They look like gas station heat lamp pizza though.
I sneaked 3 full sized pizzas in once 😂 with my friends to see the nun

Honestly, I thought from the thumbnails that these were sketches and my anxiety tends to make sketches hard for me to watch so I was skipping them until the latest who memed it came out where this show was mentioned and I realized. I feel like there are probably a lot of people not realizing what the show is and if they knew they would love it!
@@TheNextStar1000 I tend to avoid TNTL for that reason! The uncertainty of their improv is anxiety-inducing to me, so I tend to prefer their sketches that have some structure/concept (e.g. Teletubbies Reunion, Sword AF, etc.).

Cortney asking Ian "what's going to happen when you leave the theater with no child?" Is very reminiscent of the episode of I love Lucy where she's on a plane, pretending her cheese is a baby to avoid the baggage fee, and ends up eating it. The flight attendants freak out when the baby's gone 🤣
As a former movie theatre employee, we don't get paid enough to catch people. Also, we aren't really allowed to check people's bags unless it very clearly looks like there is a weapon or something potentially dangerous in there. Just be cool and casual, and you'll be fine. I used to see people bring in a whole ass grocery store sheet cake or a chipotle burrito in their hoodie pockets and I wouldn't stop them. I usually stuck in a high five and let them in no problem. Especially if the line to check tickets is really long, we need to get that line inside asap, so we just let people go in as fast as we check checking literally only the ticket.

Sneaking in an entire pizza is exactly what one of us New Yorkers would do, so kudos to Courtney for that. I like to add Mike Hot's Honey to my pizza so if I could sneak that in too, it'd be perfect! And man does Courtney have such great aim! It's 2023 and Ian Hecox is still getting hit in the balls...NEVER CHANGE, SMOSH! Also, I'm glad Arasha is standing up for the cabinet community. They're underrepresented.
I feel like if you had Ian, Shayne, Damien, Spencer and Noah in one of these it would be the most chaotic episode .. so.. you know what you need to do..

In college there was a somewhat small movie theater that did not get as much traffic as the fancier one down the road. A friend and I would always go to the smaller one since we could always get tickets even when large movies would premiere. But we always were pushing ourselves as to what all we could sneak in the theater. Once we ordered a family meal from KFC and snuck it in. It had sides and everything. When I pulled out the chicken the entire theater we were in smelled and people were so confused since the place did not sell any sort of chicken 😂 but the best part was that I was eating the macaroni and my friend asked for the biscuits so I placed the macaroni on the arm rest to me left and went to bend to the right to get the biscuits out of my bag and my elbow knocked over the macaroni. It fell face down onto the floor with a huge “BAM!” and we had to stifle out laughter because people were already turning back to look in our direction (we were in the farthest row back in a corner in the theater and most of the people were in the middle center). I felt so incredibly bad because it was like a large container of macaroni that was now on the floor and would need to be cleaned . I cleaned it up to the best of my ability but still felt bad. And just some context in case you are doubting my story - I was raised by some very frugal women who mastered the art of sneaking in stuff to the movies. And they learned it from my great grandmother who lived through one of the depressions. She use to keep ziploc bags in her purse to put food in (like the free biscuits or bread at a dinner or event😂) so my bloodline has completely MASTERED this technique. I once snuck in a large pizza and some wings. It’s a skill passed down and crafted from years and generations of training 😂

The dopest thing I got into a theatre was a whole ass steak dinner. My aunts and I wanted to go see Harry Potter 5 so they packed up steak, rice, beans and water bottles full of coke. Best movie dinner ever 😂

Arasha's story of her family sneaking Tupperware containers into the theater reminds me of a book written by Kevin Murphy from Mystery Science Theater 3000 & Rifftrax. "A Year at the Movies: One Man's Filmgoing Odyssey" details how Kevin spent (nearly) every day in 2001 seeing a movie - good or bad - in a theater of some sort to detail the moviegoing experience from one person's perspective. There was one entire chapter devoted to how Kevin snuck an entire Thanksgiving dinner into a theater using an overcoat lined with Tupperware containers (and what happened when he got caught)! One of my favorite books and definitely worth checking out.
Fun fact: The first movie theater in the US was Vitascope Hall and it opened in New Orleans in 1896. The year before, the Lumiere brothers, whose father saw a demonstration of Edison's Kinetoscope, thought they could do something better. Thus, they came up with the Cinematographe. And with it, they did the very first public screening of a film in December 1895 at the Salon Indien du Grand Café in Paris.

Many years ago (like.. probably in the 60s or 70s), my aunt legitimately snuck an entire pizza into a theater. During intermission (because that was a thing), people went out to the lobby looking for where they could buy a pizza because they smelled hers, lol.

i still like the idea of using a large salad bowl type thing and stacking food in there then putting it under your top so you look pregnant. no one is gonna be like “are you REALLY pregnant or just faking it to bring in some snacks??” it’s foolproof

Honestly, this is one those videos that I can relate to. I remember how I would put my own candies or snacks inside my jacket whenever I go to the movies.

I work at a small movie theater in a college town. I’ve asked my coworkers what’s the weirdest things they’ve found while cleaning theaters. They said a whole rotisserie chicken box and a bunt cake (there was still cake left). I love cleaning theaters only to see what snacks people sneak in.
I once brought an entire Panera dinner into the movies. One of the best movie theatre experiences I’ve ever had.
