How To Wash Goalkeeper Gloves

Welcome back to ARS Goalkeeping the #1 online source for goalkeepers worldwide!!! I have had tons of subscribers ask for a thorough explanation of how to safely wash their dirty goalkeeper gloves so I put together a few of my favorite methods to cleaning the latex on the palms of your gloves without destroying a good pair of gloves.
All you need is a bucket full of warm or room temp water, dirty gloves and a whole lot of time and patience! Remember to never use any type of soap to wash your gloves unless it is a known glove wash solution. NEVER TWIST OR RUB YOUR PALMS TOGETHER and to use an absorbent towel in an area away from direct sunlight or heat to protect your latex as much as possible!
If you have several gloves you can totally throw them into your washing machine as long as you give them a quick prewash and use a pillow case to hold all the gloves together and keep them from rubbing up on the inside of the washng machine.
Remember KEEP DRYING GLOVES AWAY FROM DIRECT SOURCES OF HEAT OR SUNLIGHT! Don't let the latex dry out!!!

I’ve used your method even before I started watching your vids, I’ve only really began to care for my gloves since the Euro 2012.. before that I was still a kid who used max €30 gloves.. and now with all the €80+ arsenal that I use, I found the washing and pre washing vital
worked so well!!! My gloves were almost completely black but after this process, they almost looked new! Thanks so much!
This actually worked and I was a bit scared about my latex but now I’ve dried them with newspaper and sitting on a cup and the latex feels near exact as to when I first bought them thanks for the tutorial

alberto Ive watched your videos countless times and they really help alot. You catch on to key parts in goalkeeping which really help and improve. keep up the good work I appreciate it. and I think u should do a glove give away
i use a method which is similar to yours but i put in dish soap and it works fine for me and it doesn't ruin the gloves whatsoever and ive had the same gloves for about 3 or 4 months now and they have not started to tear on the palm, but this could be the brand of soap i use and the gloves i wear. i also like your videos, keep em up!

I personally did this for my gloves and it worked amazingly! I also wrapped mine in a towel, stepped on em to get water out, and hung em up to dry. Would definitely recommend!

Thanks for the video, I usually rub mine together when I wash them and then I twist them to dry them, by doing this they will last way longer

What A Useful Video As Usual

First thing I want to say is that you are the best goalkeeper tutorial youtuber, I learnt a lot (almost everything) from you, like diving proper, catching the ball etc.
Now i have a question.
Today I received my adidas ace trans pro gloves. To me they are expensive, so i want to treat them really carefully so that they last as long as possible. Today I used them and the latex palm is dirty (not very dirty, just the palm is brown). Do I have to wash my gloves after every game? Or can I still use them for 2/3 games until i wash them? I ask this because I heard when you dont wash your gloves they will dry out and the latex will crack, but I also heard that the grip will reduce when u wash the gloves.
So, do I have to wash my gloves after every single match or not?
And when I dont use them for like 4 weeks, are there any things I have to do with them? Or can I just let them lay down for 4 weeks and then use em again?

I use a glove wash from Reusch and Westcoast which is made to be safe with the latex and I first run them under warm water, then spread on a decent amount onto the palms. I then rub the glove wash in and then soak and squeeze till the foaming is gone. It then hang dry them in my closet away from sunlight. Every time, my gloves come back stronger

Hey. LOve your channel, you've inspired me so much lately, but I need to ask you a question. I am 11 years old, slightly overweight but I love playing GK. When I first started I truely was dreadful. But now I feel I have grown in confidence. I have no issues with Catches, Low Diving & Upright Saves, have a few difficulties with 1v1's and lack confidence in high diving, but my height helps me out on that one. My mates think that I should join a local club, but my worry is rejection - and also being told I'm bad and just general failure. I've never been a confident person, and I'm not good at talking to random people, and I'm worried that If I do make the step into joining a club, I would be classified as bad and that would lower my self esteem and it would make me want to quit (I never usually see the bright side in situations). Do I join a club? Or is it worth hanging back until I truely feel confident about myself?
There are some glove specific soaps that help preserve the grip while cleaning them better than just using water. But I guess water alone is the safest less aggressive method of cleaning since it doesn't add any chemical.
Hey Alberto, noted on the case of no soap, but what about some kind of conditioner to help the latex remain squishy and strong?

Crown yes definitely just don't leave them too long latex is best when it's kept slightly damp

can I use mild detergent like the handsoap to help wash the gloves? I play on artificial grass and there's a lot of tiny rubber things, my gloves get blackened after each game
Which glove wash would you say is the best.Ive tried some standard biodegradable £7.99 glove wash.Ive now got some HO soccer glove cleaning gel which I spent about £20 a bottle on.what would recommend for when I run out ?

Hello, how many minutes did you put them in the washing machine? and you put them to wash with plain water?
I actually fill up a bowl with warm water, use goalie glove soap and rub out the dirt in each glove. No smell, excellent grip, and is literally squeky clean! I currently have the Adidas Ace Classic Pros for training and Puma powercats that buffon used in like the early 2000s
I use the reusch glove wash solution does that hindered the performance of my gloves, (I have a pair of adidas ace trans pro and Nike premier sgt)

Any advise when using gloves at 5x5 synthetic lawns? I can't get them clean 100%. Small black grains in the lawn seem to leave black colour on the gloves. :/

How do you keep your white-palm gloves from yellowing? I got my Kona WestCoast GK gloves maybe 2-3 months ago and they're looking yellow af. Also when I wash them and get all the dirt out, it leaves grey spots. Do you have these issues?
