For all the negative things we could say about New Jersey politics this is one achievement our people could and should be most proud of. We have our issues here in Jersey, but we also have the Pine Barrens, and I for one agree that we should continue to protect it forever. My parents came from Puerto Rico to New Jersey decades ago, and I am very proud of my heritage, but my first love will always be my place of birth, and the Pines of Jersey are in integral part of that identity. I am forever indebted to the generations before me for giving me the privilege to kayak the cedar creeks and rivers of the Pines, as I look at the expanse of Pitch Pine. Thank you.
