@@TomPembertonFarmLife When your dad took control of your family business, what did the MMB pay for one litre of milk and when was it?
Ur dad is such a legend and so factual about everything
Farm science with the ginger warrior ........... awesome
Your certainly right there!
Certainly. People don’t realise how a farmer has to be a driver, vet, nutritionist, groomer... definitely a profession where being experienced and educated about it helps your business. It’s great to share his expertise with us too!
Your ould fella is great when he gets going, obviously passionate and knowledgeable about looking after his stock
Legit your dad gives the best answers ever I could have a conversation with him all day
My father grew up on a farm. I remember him saying they fed the cows potatoes with their feed. They only had about a dozen cows, just enough for that big family of his. He showed me the basement window the truck would put the pots in. They had to have enough for the winter. That farm life was a wonderful start for him. He lived to 91. I wish I had grown up on a farm.
Your dad really knows his stuff, top guy.
I’m a agriculture student in the US I love watching your videos for moments like “potato science” so very cool keep it up
Tom your Dad is a legend,he can teach us no farmers so much and is enjoyable to learn from him..
Tom you're so lucky to have that Daddie. Cherrish him!!!
the ginger warrior is a mind of information in fairness.. keep up the good work guys
Tom have to type(say)this=Your father is a great teacher Tom an i do hope your studying it all from him Tom,he's a very very wise man.
We can learn a lot from your father Tom. Good video.
Glad the Go pro survived its adventure. 👍
Farmer P Thank the lord it did!!
Watching the cows chewing is rather hilarious.
Yay another video!! This city girl can’t get enough of watching farm life 😊 Hi from Wisconsin, America’s dairy land. 🧀
Hannah Ferry 🙌🙌🙌😀😀😀
Very good looking city girl from Wisconsin I must say!!!👍🏻😉😉🙌👊👌🏻😍
This Iowa girl sees cows and pigs all day and I still watch this channel. I think seeing smaller family farms takes me back to a better farm life. Hog confinements and million acre farms have ruined the dream.
Seeing the cows relish the spuds is entertaining. Getting the science off big Daddy is very enlightening. I've only watched a few videos but they have totally changed my perception of the relationship between the farmer and the cow. Great stuff!
If you have learned half the knowledge your father has,you are a smart man. He is very knowledgeable. I could sit here and listen to him a long time. My father was not very educated, but when it came to farming he had a lot of knowledge. He is retired now. At 87 he is relaxing. Anybody, let your dad know you love them. Stay safe.
love when your dad tells us really interesting farm facts/what your doing on farm
Good video Tom. Ginger Warrior explains superbly the advantages of potatoes.
Ur dad is very brite when it comes to farming, very smart guy, alot of info most ppl like myself never knew. Ty
I love listening to your old man. I can imagine him in the local pub sharing his wisdom over a locally brewed ale. His detailed knowledge is next level. Keep up the good work.
I am rolling over laughing watching those cows chew potatoes. Just like big puppy dogs with a biscuit. Will watch this video over and over. Love those big babies!❤️💗 for the cows. Precious.
Omg I thought that GoPro or Camera was a goner loved the video full of amazing info you and the Ginger guy smashed it again. You dads a real trouper the hours you guys put in is awesome. Thanks for keeping the country fed. Keep the videos coming and Happy Farming.
Since I subscribed to you a couple days ago it's coming up with old videos in my newsfeed; honestly your go-pro falling into the wagon, then all the sounds of it going around, then you can hear it shut off and you jumping in to unbury it is hilarious and awesome. I'm glad it survived.
Also the cow noses are adorable! and hearing your dad talk about what difference the potatoes in their feed makes and why, is really interesting!
you need a welkerfarms magnet mount
Impressed by your dad knwoledge about foods for cows! lovely to listen to
Your dad is brill, love hearing his wealth of knowledge on farming, who would ever have known that about spuds and milk production! The man is a scientist. Great Vid, thank you.
Loved seeing those cows enjoying the spuds so much. Liking the explanation as well from the Ginger Warrier.
The ginger warrior is a wealth of knowledge an encyclopedia on farming a farming treasure what more can we say
carl byrne - priceless!!
Never heard of feeding spud really cool
Clear Creek Farm just don’t feed many, can induce bloat.
Nice one Tom thumbs up to father as well a mind of knowledge 👍
Your Dad knows it all. He's fantastic. A knowledge of information. Look at years down the line. That'll be you Tom 🌿💚🌿
I worked on a dairy farm years ago and we usted put spuds in the silage while clamping, later or spuds and few feet or grass and layer it all, whilst the silage was fermenting it cooked the spuds but they were quiet rubbery when clamp opened
I love cows and they looked happy with some spuds . Thanks so much !ive had quite the education xo
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day.
Yep the smaller spuds are the choking danger. Especially on younger animals. Lost 2 weanling heifers 2 years ago. Spuds are great feed. You need a constant supply though. I know in beefing if your feeding spuds and your supply’s run dry. No matter what meal you feed, your animals will stop gaining weight for few weeks until they adjust to being without. Don’t know if it will effect in dairy with milk yields. Be interesting to know.
Great video Tom and Dad.
Great Video Tom, always educational. Love when your Dad talks he is so passionate about farming as are you. Long Live the family farm :) I think it's time to hire a New delivery driver i think your Dad deserves to get to bed a decent hour.
This was very informative about the potatoes. I would never have guessed that cows would enjoy them.
The cows are so cute!!!!!!!!!
Y’all are tough and smart and so healthy looking! Thank you for sharing your lives!
Been going back over lots of videos lately. Not sure how I missed this gem. So far my favorite one of Dad laying down the knowledge
Absolutely fascinating watching your videos. My Uncle had Dairy Cattle when I was young and I never understood all that went on or the reason he did some things. I have learned a lot from you. Thank you for sharing your videos.
Excellent video enjoyed hearing the info on the spuds, cows and milk production.
Morning to you two Gentleman . Once again you take me to school . I knew it was great for a filler but never saw them used on cows . I understand the protein count but did not realize the potatoes had that much protein in them . Thank you once again .
Everything about what u guys do over there is awsome. Love to watch
I love your videos Tom and please don't think I'm being a smart arse but the keenan rep once told me you put the silage in the feeder last.
Cow cake, straw etc first for a more consistent mix. Well done fellas 👍
When we were milking we always noticed the decrease in milk when the spuds ran out. Plus a reduction in butterfat level.
I so wish kids in school were required to watch these videos not only excellent farming videos like this but other thankless jobs that keep us alive. We should ALL have some exposure as to what it takes to live..
Loving the ginger fountain of knowledge... top man! New subscriber getting up to speed! Love the channel Tom.
Brillant video again tom love watching your videos thank you again
I would love to have a beer with dad! I bet he's full of knowledge 👌
5:03 best asmr (or whatever that fecker is called) i love how he came up close.😂😂
Very Happy cows eating potatoes!! They look as happy as my Lab retriever when she gets a meaty beef rib!
Great vid Tom keep up the good work an let's prey for better weather
So glad you rescued your camera.
Another good informative video, and the whole learning curve that is handed down only through experience .👍🚜🐄
Good video as always lads. The info given is always just right and just long enough to keep us all interested.
Great video mate👍 your dad knows his stuff👍
Great video like allways👏. For sure cows loves potatoes. I'm a dairy french farmer🍀, I use sometimes potatoes in diet. Little tip, i put in the silage (grass or mais) when i make it. It's like cooking potatoes. starch is more avaible. Of course we have to provide but its farming, it's not allways easy peasy 🤣 and I love this😍🐄🐕🐂. Thanks very much for all👍. See you one day i hope.
Your dad really knows his spuds! There’s a lot to learn there!! 👍👍❤️❤️
Yr cows look so chilled out and happy. Great vid as always dude
Another great video Tom ! As a farmer it’s great to see a CZcamsr explaining everyday life of farming . Keep up the good work 🐄🚜💨👍🏻
Good job Tom, Keep up the good work.
If you know that you do beets or spuds every year it might be good to invest in a chopper for them. You can put the chopper on the telehandler and the cows eat it easier and it gets digested better.
I am sorry for my bad English :)
I hope you are learning EVERYTHING you possibly can from your Dad right now! He is so full of amazing knowledge about cows, dairy, farming, and all the things scientifically involving the preceeding! I know I have learned quite a bit myself from him and you as well! Thanks for explaining what a "jobby" was because I wouldn't have had a clue what you were referring to! 😉😂🥰
I love your Dad, he's so lovely and great facts! Great video :D
You got lucky with your video camera set up! You could hear it crunching..I was waiting for the End.."No Way" 😂🤣 Cows like potatoes who knew!!🐄🐄 Your Dad knows his business. Amino acids are very important. protein potatoes.
🐄☕🕊🙋🏼♀️Jeanne on the Oregon Coast
Great video Tom 🤙 always good to hear the ginger warriors knowledge and experience🐄🐄
All the best from james in ireland
Your Dad is such a knowledgeable guy who clearly loves his farm. He seems to really be getting a kick out of this CZcams stuff!
Ya know what Tom, the level of trust between you and those cattle is amazing!
Very happy looking cows ! Great video Tom !
I want to come visit so bad!! Love your videos.
Learning every video 👍🏻
Brilliant video Tom, how on earth did the camera survive that? Your dad has so much knowledge, - it’s always a pleasure hearing him explain all the technical bits, I never realised so much work went into feeding cows!!
Awesome viewing experience loved it happy cows happy life.
I really enjoy your videos!
Yet again another great video! 🎉
Hope you took the keys from the tractor with you when you jumped in that feeder mate !!
Jimmy why, its not gonna start by it self and start the pto
@@kristofferkurtsson4105 incase someone else jumps in without realising mate
Jimmy i would never even have someone on a farm where u cant trust him. So i think he thinks the same but yeah ur right if u maybe have someone thats not as experience its good to take out keys
@@kristofferkurtsson4105 how far do you take trust to look in the feder before they start
David Nicolson who tf, seing a mixer and thinks hmm ima go and start the tracktor and turn on pto, tf man
Hi Tom I thort the camera did well catch the mix and just feel in just at the end to show every one how good a mix it was. But you got lucky it didn't brake. Good video as normal. From Andy
You need to make up a magnetic mount monopod jobby like Welker's use Tom. Great vid as usual.
Super duper mate great video and it wasn’t lost
Well I never thought I’d see Andrew on CZcams hahah keep up the good work tom 👌
Are you still feeding this ration? If you are I am thinking you saw the improvements you were hoping for. Could you share with me what you saw in your milk production(perhaps some before and after milk tests) and your feelings on animals conditions overall? If not, I understand. Thank you for all the awesome videos. I love love your herd.
Invest in a spud shifter if you haven't got one already best couple of hundred you will ever spend when you're feeding spuds. Looks like a large spring three quarters inches around four feet long flexible enough to tie a knot in but when you push down on it it's stiff.
Great video. I never knew this information. It was like watching kids eating ice cream 🍦. They loved it.
Granny USA 🇺🇸
Another great vid Tom you did well saving the GoPro 😂😂
Was scared in the dark but we’re okay now
Great video
Great video and thank dad for he’s explanation of the use of potato s. .
Great video Tom 👍🏻
Nice vid Tom!!!!
Great Vid, need to try the Welker farm camera stand, as use a good magnet
excellent video tom your lucky with the gopro when i saw the title i thought that was the end of of your gopro lol.
I would have loved if he backed to keenan into the manitou when he said"hit the subscribe"
👍👍 Fed potatoes last winter and found out that is doesn't work in combination with robot milking
Your dad is a clever fella Tom. Really enjoying your content, came recommended by the hoof GP. I dont know why but the nose on shot of cows eating always makes me laugh!
Cows all look very happy Tom well looked after 🐄🐄😀😀
The faces Tom makes when the ginger warrior talks too much 😂😂
Maybe we can all listen and learn at the same time! Tom!
The cows like the potatoes🥔 more than I do. Great video 👌👍
Great video tom
