    It's not really a secret formula, its just how I like to price my CNC jobs. In my opinion there's is no specific way to do it. As long as you can find a happy medium between material costs, your time and the customer getting a fair price, YOUR GOOD!       Thanks, glad your enjoying them. I prefer cold rolled. Machine likes it better and easier to clean for welds. Its hard to get from the supplier i use.

    The cam can tell you the time it takes to make the cuts. You don't use that info in your pricing?

      I run it at 75psi. Congrats on your purchase and i understand. Langmuir screws me on they’re sales. I get them traffic but no credit. I would have done the same thing as you. Save whatever money you can.

    Nice info Kyle. Do you use a service that already makes a cut file for generic items? I ask because a customer wants a skull and crossbones for Halloween and a turkey for thanksgiving. He’s buying from me, painting and reselling them. Thanks

      No i typically make them from scratch. I dont do a whole lot of stock signs like that. If i had a fiber machine i would. Less clean up.

    Do you use your Baileigh drum sander for sanding your metal signs? Ive seen videos of guys using wide belt sanders to put nice finishes on their metal signs. Thanks.

      They're technically called roller pigeons my grandpa raised a ton of them the ideal situation is for them to all roll at the same time. Very good video btw!

      That was probably just simple green cleaner. Just to clean any residue off of it. If the material is really dirty, ive noticed it will mess with the cut. Nothing that noticeable but i clean it anyway

    So 2 questions. Can you provide a complete list of things necessary for the setup you have, speaking about the table etc. The website is not clear as to the entire config. And how much odor is produced forom the process? I.e. Need great ventalation etc? Thanks.

      They are signs to me. Thats what makes the most sense. I believe the monograms are the circular signs. Cost depends on multiple variables. You can email me if your interested and ill get you some pricing.

    Have been looking ar ordering a crossfire pro, so the controlbox and cable boom can be installed on either side? I have only seen it on the left.

    Pretty clean cuts. I’m running fine cut tips that run up to 30a.
    Mind sharing more settings for clean cuts like that

      I typically run 35 amps at 70 ipm on 14 ga mild steel. Thats the bulk of what i cut.

    Nice video. I have the same machine with hypertherm power max 45 xp. Right now I’m using finecut on all of my signs and silhouettes. I’m cutting 5052 h32 aluminum 16 gauge. The fine cut is night and day difference, the Details are very sharp. Thanks for posting your video 😁 watching cnc plasma never gets boring also what is your baileigh machine ?? I have a baileigh rdb 150 tube bender.

      I’ve seen some work done with that specific aluminum, as well as some of your work Rich, and it looks super nice! I know nothing about this other than I like looking at it, but are there any advantages/disadvantages between steel and aluminum? Other than cost, I would think aluminum is the way to go. But again, I don’t know anything about it other than I personally prefer aluminum pieces. Thanks.

      @@SpicerDesignsLLC ya if you get a chance try the fine cut. I will never go back to standard unless I’m cutting large thicker pieces. ( they work great don’t get me wrong ) but the fine cut on small pieces with details is unbelievable difference. You will love it. This was such a great video to show people how to price and what to except. Best one so far. And your shop is MINT man !!!! Love it

      @@ar2043 well, the steel has a much sharper looking edge than the aluminum. But the aluminum is nice in that it’s super light and easy to handle the sheets. My sheets are 52”by 72”. (Odd size I know lol ) but they weigh only 20.6 pounds. And I have a stack of them. Both look great cut. I just happened to get a good deal on the aluminum

    Where do you get your designs from? Do you draw them in some vector design software (eg. Adobe Illustrator) or in a CAD program? What software so you use to make the job done?

      It all depends. I would say its closer to $20-50 a square ft for a typical monogram. If you can use the scrap on smaller cuts you can make some more per sq ft.

    What kind of maintenance do you have to do on your machine and how often?

      Just change the water out when needed. Also have the consumables for the torch. Depends on how much use it gets. Last is the tables slats. They get pretty chewed up after a while.
