I'm kinda curious how they're going to justify Flash and Superman not just instantly liquefying their opponents this time.
Probably just flash and Superman toying with them because they don’t see them as big threats I’m guessing. Cause it wouldn’t be a good story if they just ended everyone super quickly

I imagine the campaign is mostly you searching for ways to deal with them and then preparing an elaborate plan to depower them enough to fight them. Kind of like a heist but with a lot more violence

In order to fight Batman and Superman, and ultimately the big bad of the story. Then read on the newspaper, “Invasion thwarted by the Justice League,” as they get put back in their cell.
At least they bring in Wonder Woman to fight superman. That makes so much more sense. Superman could kill that entire team in less than 1/100000th of a second. Wonder Woman could kill superman if she absolutely had to and planned to do it.

So, let me get this straight: the actual Batman game coming out - Gotham Knights - is not the Arkham sequel, but the game that has NOTHING to do with Batman is the actual Arkham sequel?
That is correct. Straight from Gotham Knights wiki article: "Despite WB Games Montréal's previous work developing Batman: Arkham Origins and the fact that Gotham Knights features many of the same characters from the Batman: Arkham series, the new game is an original story separate from those games."

if you watch a gameplay breakdown video for suicide squad, you can see many references for the arkham series including batman's arkham knight suit as one of the statues in the hall of justice. suicide squad is supposedly taking place after arkham knight
Why do I feel they already have plans for Batman to be the secret unlockable character after you finish the story or worse, a DLC character/story?

The real question Are Aquaman and Cyborg in this? Also I'm glad to see John Stewart in this game, he is a really cool green lantern. Scott Snyder gave him a great story in his Justice League series

My guess is the main JL members you’ll face are Green Lantern, Flash, Superman, and maybe Batman while other league members might be added as dlc later on

Although, knowing Batman, I doubt he's evil. Apokolips war seems to be one of the very few times they ever let something properly affect Batman. Not sure if he will help out but I doubt he's corrupted.

The JL under Brainiac's control is a neat way to make them the antagonists.
It has been done a couple times. It is a popular corruption option for DC writers.

In light of recent news of Kevin Conroy's final voice role being in this game that makes the moment at 1:30 more interesting, that's probably a part of the Squad's initial encounter with the Batman, as that gun I reckon was the same one from the guard he grabbed.

This is the closest thing we are gonna get to a Justice League game.
This was a pretest for a Superman game supposedly so if this does well and then they make a Superman game way down the line we might get a JL game
Maybe rocksteady could make a justice league prequel someday plus I could be better than avengers.

1:28 that’s Batman holding the gun. Here’s why:
No other SS member has that gauntlet. No JL member has that gauntlet. If you slow it down to 0.25x speed, you’ll see the hand holding the gun is shaking, as if the person holding it under some alien mind influence, and is resisting because his parents died to a gun, and can’t bring himself to pull the trigger. Also it says in the background “the Batman experience” as if it’s not obvious enough.
But this is the Arkham verse so are we sure this is batman?

It's obviously Jason Todd as red hood. His Arkham DLC shows his on a war path killing Gothams criminals, he started with black mask. The figure pointing a gun at someone alone proves it isn't Bruce Wayne Batman.
I really hope they get either Tim Daly or George Newbern voice Superman, since they got Kevin Conroy to voice Batman, it’d be fitting to have another iconic voice in the games.

spiderman and flash are not the same. spidey, is very slow in comparison with the flash that can run around the earth in one sec or even less.
what enemy would the flash fight? narrative wise you would have to nerf the flash or make some ridiculous plot that gave every generic enemy speed or a way to slow down the flash.
and there is nothing more annoying than being stun every two sec.

I understand it's gonna be hard to catch what's going on when the fight happens or for example when slow down time with a button but someone like Savitar won't affect him because he's way faster .. thinking about what if for example The Flash show turns into video game just like Batman games high detail central city with bosses and Speed force to explore and some side missions .. either way in this game now you will face him The Flash ..

This game looks awesome, I just really hope we end up seeing Batman again since this is post Arkham Knight, it would be really cool to see what's going on with him and if everyone still thinks he's dead or if at this point everyone know's he's actually alive now. Also just really hope the story and gameplay are as good as the Arkham Games.

I think this is where suicide squad is going to shine in media. As a movie it’s silly and campy but also emotional and gory which some people love (myself included) but as a video game I think this plays to the narratives strengths and this dialogue is really enjoyable, especially compared to the og whadda we? Some kinda suicide squad?
Since when has Suicide Squad been silly and campy? They crack jokes and whatnot, but they're otherwise pretty serious. Not to mention that there's literally nothing wrong with asking if you're a Suicide Squad if it fits within the context of the conversation, which it did.
@@Necroverse19 the concept of loony criminals working for a special ops team has always been juxtaposed in a way to create comedic effect. I mean silly in an affectionate way, most iterations of the suicide squad are written with a degree of self awareness and camp that makes it really enjoyable to more than just one audience. Barring the like one iteration of the suicide squad that tried to take itself super seriously and we all know how that movie panned out. Yeah sure… but like… it was such a bad set up for a punch line that was “haha they said the thing, the title of the movie”

Hal Jordan will always be my favorite GL but seeing John Stewart does put a smile on my face.
Hopefully this game ends up being a success so Warner Bros can develop more games using other DC properties. A Teen Titans 4 player coop game would be dope, Nightwing solo game would be cool, Green Lantern game, Green Arrow and Aqua Man would be interesting. Aqua Man could blend ocean exploration with land exploration, so many possibilities.

yea cuz it looks like the place where he picks up the gun is the same where he attacked them in the new trailer, and at that time they only beat flash so him holding the gun might cause him to break out of it, hes not a boss fight

We need Deathstroke in this. Remember the End Credit scene in Arkham origins? If there isn't any connection, I will be disappointed. All in all, I think Rocksteady has much more to lose than you guys think. Knightfall was eventually for what? Him just becoming Batman fulltime? Then Deadshot is not the real one? I guess it makes sense, because he was easy to beat, but then Poison Ivy's sacrifice was fake too? I'm feeling like it takes too much of the powerful moments away from the Arkhamverse. But I will give it a try. I want to have a very good explanation how Batman got corrupted, and I hope they don't kill him off. I'm not sure if this qualifies for my headcanon.

Ok so I got a theory the main place obviously gonna be in metropolis but we might visit Gotham to visit the Arkham asylum bc that’s where Amanda walker was and you could see the electrical gate that Arkham asylum had so I’m guessing Amanda took over the asylum or she is freeing them but also another suspicion I have is when we got announced that Kevin was gonna be in the game we saw Arkham asylum cardboard pieces And the place was called the batman experience which I think is a memorial thing for batman after he “died” in Arkham knight
