I’d like to pass on a bit of wisdom i’ve learnt over the years with using routers & router bits, & it also applies to dremel’s,
You probably already know this but it might help others that don’t.
When putting dremel or router bits in the machine, don’t put it all the way in so it bottoms out, pull the bit out a millimetre or 3,
The reason is because sometimes the bit gets stuck in the collet & you have to faff about undoing the collet completely to release it or grab the bit with plyers & potentially blunting the sharpness, so with it not completely all the way in, all you have to do is push it down after the collet has Been loosened & it will free it nicely, it happens a lot with router bits especially if you leave them in the router for a few days, it does happen with dremels too,
I just thought I’d share that for those who don’t know.

awesome information, it doesn't apply to my Dremel, it doesn't have a collet but a universal 3 prong keyless chuck. the 4300 doesn't have the collet and requires the wrench to tighten. i use the baby vise grips to get a better bite since the chuck is a bit worn and will vibrate loose under use.
