There is a scene in the above preview where a J meets a Y6B at Christiansburg. However, the scene is cut out in between the two engines. What is the scene like in the actual program?
There appears to be one scene in Pocahantas Glory Volume 8 preview above where a J meets a Y6b engine. However in between engines the scene is cut out, at least in the preview. Is the scene any better in the actual DVD, like are both engines shown in one shot in their entirety?
Great video and sound. I remember the sound of those Y6B's and wonder if you have footage of N&W pulling out of Saltville, VA in the late 50's and early 60's? They were massive pulling up a slight grade.
Idk if it would be possible to make a soundtrack with all the music you guys have used in these films on the Norfolk and Western because I love the music it's so fitting and I hate that I was never able to find it because it's really well done and that's what I love about it
Unfortunately, no, we can't. All the music is licensed for one time use in the videos or DVDs and cannot be assembled into CDs that could be sold to the public.

I seen a DVD of the Punkin Vine and the K2a pulling passenger from Winston Salem to Roanoke. I rode this train from Martinsville or Bassett to Roanoke and would love to see the movie but cannot find it. Also had a Y6b on freight through Stoneville, NC, Madison, NC, Martinsville, VA and Bassett, VA.
the video you're looking for is "Norfolk & Western Steam in the 1950s Volume 2" by Main Line Motion Pictures. Volumes 1 and 3 may also have some Punkin Vine footage but, I haven't watched them for a while and don't remember.
How much steam is in this volume? And why isn't the complete series on youtube? And how good is the quality of the films? I discovered at least two scenes on this preview that had what I call "lightning" on it
The footage is going to be as good as Mr. Herron and the team or he, himself can restore. It's not going to be perfect, but, from what I have watched over the years, it's a great job. It's as close as it gets without stepping through your screen and showing up back then.
There is a difference between authentic sound - which is real, to be sure - and the sound of what we are seeing. I am thinking these videos, while done well, are all dubbed
Yes, since the original film was silent. It takes me many hours to search the correct sound and apply it. All sound is from original recordings made in the 1950's, much of it from the same railroad and locomotives you are viewing. If you want it silent just turn off the sound. -JH

The reason is because Herron Rail is a company. They have to make a profit. This is only a taste to get you excited for the DVD. Once you purchase it, you will own it forever, but please DO NOT upload the whole thing to CZcams. That is pirating a video, which is stealing and taking potential revenue away from the company @Carolina Trains.

I got to see J 611 and M 382 (475) doing run-by's and photo ops together this past weekend (Oct 6, 2019) at Strasburg.
We lived on the N&W RAIL WAY MAIN LINE 40S, 50S 6OS AT WELCH WV. WE SURE SAW A LOT OF TRAINS IN WELCH WV..MCDOWELL COUNTY.Wva.

Danny Harmon is a professional narrator who lives close to me and he is also a railfan and has narrated several of our recent videos.
