    I love 100-110 point games. That means that great defensive plays and offensive plays both get their time to shine, and every posession that you score feels like a win.

    This is a welcome move on many levels. It encourages proper defense, makes individual high-scoring feats more special rather than becoming the norm, and also free throws are easily the least interesting part of watching any game, so the fewer the better in my opinion.

    I pretty much checked out on the nba for the first time in my life earlier this year cause I just got tired of watching all the foul baiting and constant free throws. When they started calling less fouls at the beginning of the year a few seasons ago and openly announced it the first few months of that season were so much better and then it’s gradually reverted to being a joke.

  • @majesty1842
    @majesty1842 Před měsícem +20

    What a great era we're witnessing. NBA regular season is dead and nothing can save it. They were trying to save ASG - it did not work, they added foul-baiting rule to prevent floping - everybody forgot about it after a few months. Nothing will help. U don't need even watch games, just see some highlights, which team in which seed and won't lose anything. The real basketball starts in the play-offs, when defence gets better, refs make less stupid calls, when players' legacies are on the line.

    I agree with all of this. The constant scoring is boring. It should be first team to 100. The constant free throws are soooo boring. And the foul calls were so inconsistent. It was like depending on the player, basketball could be a temporary contact sport. Hopefully this injects better quality basketball into the league.

    Just allow more physicality similar to how it is in the Playoffs. Nobody wants to watch 40 free throws in a game where fouls are being called every other play. It not only inflates the score but slows down everything. Now the challenge is where the line is drawn, I do feel like Playoff basketball is a good bar, no ticky tack fouls.
