    I feel like I should add to the conversation my experience with gloves. I was wearing a pair of Pro -Tect gloves that have a option of a hard plastic piece on the palm or a soft leather pad. What happened was, I fell on my A2 at slow speed and when my wrist hit the ground it slid up and broke my shoulder. I am convinced that this is because of the hard plastic piece on the wrist.

    Technically these would be plam sliders with wrist brace .
    There are full gauntlet motorcycle gloves with good palm sliders and other TPU in the glove for better finger protection. The full gauntlet also has some light wrist bracing with TPU on the wrist wrap. The type that racers wear and crash in at speeds of 300+ kmph. But maybe because of the low speed of euc crashes a wrist brace palm slider combo offers you better protection. I crashed an escooter at 50kph wearing summer motorcross gloves, was a 50 to zero crash on pavement , ripped a hole in the side of the gloves , but the finger TPU meant I lost no skin on my hands.

    Love that intro +10, That expression on your face is pricelesse !!! Hm about the ennui's wristguards seem to be to hard, might break you arm higher on ulna or radius, so i defnitely recommend having some more flex in those wristguards.
    Wish they would make flexmeter with lighter glove with kevlar, not only winter snowboard ones.
    is it real leather or PU ? Also 80€ for a paire or decathlon wristguards sawn on not so good quality gloves does not make a deal for me :s those should be like 45€ max. Added 40 dollars and got a flexmeter+kevlar fox glove to fit under, works fine and top quality.

    Mobius X8 Wrist Brace. That's the ultimate wrist protection for riders who don't want to wear an orthotic wrist brace. They can be worn beneath or over a glove. They are FDA approved as a medical device.
    From my email conversations with Mobius:
    "How the brace is worn relative to the glove depends on the type of glove being used. Generally, the brace is worn over the glove. The cases in which it can be easier to wear under a glove is heavy winter gloves such as snowmobile, ski and snowboard. Pretty much all others, it is worn over the glove."
    I'm getting two of the grey color.
    Excellent customer service.

    I've had these gloves for 1200km of EUC riding. Have had one fall on the wrist guard and had to replace the insert as it was damaged (which may have saved me some injury), the inserts don't appear to be available separately but can be requested. If Gyro Riderz could make these available as a consumable it would be great (or if the insert supplier to ennui and Gyro could be identified) .
    Also for your care of gloves, take your time when taking off the gloves as over time you will notice your favoured removal thumb pad leather and woven sections can become worn very quickly by the hook and loop if you get used to putting thumb under the wrapped tabs against the hook velcro to take off.
    Otherwise the touch screen compatibility is awesome as you get used to it like any new touch screen has slightly different tactile response, as is the toughness and coverage to protect fingers and support wrists. Also great for cold weather with ability to partially close for hand ventilation in warmer weather. Finally, not great sensitivity for ESK8 with a remote.

  • @chrisgibson2268
    @chrisgibson2268 Před rokem +1

    Wearing wrist guards is thw wrong way my friend you want movement in your wrist if you lock your wrists with wrist guards this doesn't allow them to take some of the brunt of the fall. This can cause horrific fractures/breaks/twisted breaks to your arms through out to even the elbow some cases even the shoulder this can be seriously bad and takes a lot longer to heal. You only want to restrict the movement in your wrist if you have a fractured or broken wrist already. Also plastic wrist guards slide to fast so when you put both hands down falling forward they can commonly slide out and apart so you slam your face.
    This is in my opinion and have seen this many times I'm a total extreme sports adrenaline junkie played ice hockey and aggressive inline skated and road mx for a couple of decades so have plenty of experience with bad falls and seen a hell of a lot of slams.

    I ended up buying the ennui wrist guards and found that they are very nicely made and look great but are actually useless for an e-scooter... totally not made for scooter riding. the wrist guard plate prevents you from solidly gripping the handlebar , it is very dangerous actually. I would assume the gloves with the same big guard on the palm would have the same issue . these would be great for skateboards or one wheelers but for sure not scooters. just a little warning to others who might make this same mistake...
