The best point of the EUC for me: Integration with public transport. There's simply no other vehicle that I can take with me in a train or a bus as easily as the EUC. It's the perfect "Last mile" vehicle. You can even use it as a portable chair when train is full. =D
Exactly, im a massive scooter fan but you just cant beat the EUC, on public transport or entering shops.
You don't integrate with motorcycle gear on a train with
An dingy wheel tbh
@@godless9010 I don't need a high speed/long range wheel since the main part of the commute is done by train, my v8 is more than enough. I don't wear any protective gear as well, since I don't need to go over 35km/h. Any how, it would still be easier to commute in train with a V-Sherman and bike gear than with a E-bike or Scooter.
I'm looking toward to get a V11 with a seat, It's so tall, would be great to use as a chair in the train =D.
Lucas Montenegro the portable chair part sounds invaluable, and I've also ordered a V11
The only problem with euc’s are the significantly higher price point to entry vs a scooter. A nine or max can be had for $800 with a range of 24 miles at max speed, or even a high powered 60v 30ah Samsung powered scooter can be bought off of alibaba for $1400. Eucs start above that price point for the most part and the learning curve is much much higher. You can pass a scooter off to anyone and they will be up and riding in 5 seconds. The mastery of learning to ride an euc is where the risk/reward is at.
Being a motorcyclist for 60+ years, I wish I could have one, but now can'i afford a fall.
I really envy you younger people.
What a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and urban transportation.
I honestly don't believe they are viable on unprotected roadways, like unlit roadways at night.
Drivers in vehicles may not be able to see riders well enough.
50,000km down the line… decided to watch some of your beginner videos!
I think EUCs are a lot safer than OneWheels also. I love my OneWheel, but the sideways stance makes it much harder to run off falls and the nosedives are a constant threat which can't be completely eliminated by rider skill.
"...the pedals might hit you..." yes, they most certainly will, my ankles really suffered for the first few days lol
So, what kind of protections would save your ankles? Shin guards won't help the ankles, right?
@@rayluo4665 Boots helped me!
Aren’t the pedals stationary? How? Lol
@@friedcherries8180 Not when you've just stepped/fell off awkwardly but the wheel kept moving and hit you in the ankles...
@@therealchayd that’s the scenario I was looking for, I knew the guy hadn’t posted what he did without reason. Thanks!! 😂
1. Is it legal
2. How hard is it to learn
3. 5:00 What protection do you need
4. 8:00 is it safe
5. 9:45 are they robust
6. 11:30 why should you get one
7. 12:15 which is best for you
8. 13:10 new ot used
That deep water though! I had no idea they could do that and I own one.
Great advice, in Canada euc owners are increasing in numbers and pushing for legalization, hopefully it happens.
Very informative, well presented (as expected) - I particularly like the emphasis on developing your own exoskeleton - even with experience you will part company with the vehicle from time to time and you want to bounce, not crash.
I think it helps to know how to fall, and I think you pick that up early or not at all. With me it was sports like skiing and soccer ("football" in EU, but even American football helps). Something like gymnastics or martial arts would be excellent. You seldom have the time to think or plan your landing, so it has to become instinct.
I’ve been riding my orb wheel x2 for 6 years and when I got the wheel it was the cheapest EUC for its time. But it still goes! It’s a really good form of transportation.
Awesome thanks Adam. Congrats on your new dwelling. Lots of light is good. EUC'S are the best inventions since sliced bread. 😃
i never watched a video about things you should know about a unicycle, but your video is fantastic. really interessting and important to know about it!
Your reviews are the best what Internet can offer to us bro, keep up the superb content!
Amazing video fun to watch as always, need pointers but for buying an entry or mid level EUC
A great educational video and thanks for helping me decide I really want one
@4:49 "But you'll buy a more expensive one anyway"
That is the way.
Great points, love the channel. Just started riding lil over a month ago on a ks14s and already interested in something faster lol. Love the wheel anyways, but their is so many badass wheels coming out or already out. Not sure what to get into 16X, V11, MSP HT too many options not enough money... :(
Recently got into EUC bought a KS16s - learning to love it 😊 more challenging than my OW - like them both, see the attraction to EUC.
Your vids are helpful, I bought the backpack 🎒 you like, expensive but super nice 👍🏽 I got the GTX 2OL
I'm considering buying the ks 16
@@ledgamer3554 same
one wheel is the quad bike of EUCs, lol.
Had me deciding to buy a EUC before the intro was even finished. Your riding down the stairs was all I needed to know :'D (Now I've got an MCM5 (first) and a ks16x :D)
Glad you're on the mend mate.👍
Thank you, very informative, be safe
14:53 ... Dude you are legend ... You can talk, hold a camera and at the same time ride on the edge... AMAZING 👏👏👏!!!
9:03 hehehe the "toink" 🤣
I used to ride TONS of segways as a kid so hopefully learning will be a bit easier for me
This was an Amazing video 👍🏼
You’re killin it brotha!!!! ☺️👍
Triple8 downhill longboard helmet are more open to see around and reasonable light have a look at it, great Chanel
I just tried an Euc for the very first time and now i'm watching your video. Thanks , your comments are very useful !!
Mine is my favourite belonging. Get one, I don't see how you could regret it :)
Very good advices.
Great video, appreciate your input on the EUC life! I've got a similar video on my channel and love hearing other riders takes on riding. Cheers!!
great video man.
Loved the review :) I reaaaally want one now.
Did you get it? And how long takes you to learn to ride it?
I agree that thing is hard to beat with an Electric Scooter or Mountianboard/skateboard. Unless I want to experience the other "Riding style feelings".
Great Video! thanks!!
Thank You very much!
Very cool love it thanks.
Sweet! Woohoo!.. it’s a good time to be alive. What an awesome video. Superb skills. I am hooked 😳
I dig it been thinking about giving it a try .shouldn't be very hard I have 20 years unicycle experience mostly rough terrain on a mountain uni
You’ll learn it very quickly!
These are the best vids on EUC,. Keep em going Great tag line
BTW you can't put two vowels together so not a EUc but an EUC sounds so much better eh.?
Good job
i love how you drive so cool
In Belgium you are allowed 25 on an euc the question is can you set that speed and how you know you are on the speed you want to be example if the wheel is doing 45 but you want to limited it to 25• I assume it’s with the footpedals the give feedback?
Thanks!
These will become ubiquitous. They will be the incentive for ever newer and better PEV's for the rest of time, making public roads eventually safer and public transportation more popular
I doubt it. They are absolutely brutal on joints. There is really only a small window of time where a person could utilize one of these for any amount of time.
@@Face_RC even with the suspension?
@@Face_RC my joints are fine 2k Km in and i'm 56 yers old
Awesome vid, excellent ENGLISH 🇬🇧 🇵🇱
@wrongway I say EUC is the KING when its comes to portability & space management... I have an electric kick scooter w/c weight 30kg... it's a problem lifting it 'coz i have stairs going to our house that's why i've bought MCM5 340wh yes speed & range sucks but enough for commute going to work & home also i have abit play time before going home... Portability 17kg easy lifting it going upstairs & space management easy to put on a car compartment of in-between ur leegs... Not in a hurry to upgrade but waiting for your review on RS HT 'coz its a very hilly place here in my place... Gotta love that water crossing wish all euc can do that...
Ordered a V11 :) it's Winter now but very much looking forward to summer riding on this thing, I was worried about legality but turns out there are no regulations on EUC's where I live (Quebec, Canada)
Hi there. How did you find out? I live in Nova Scotia and I'm wondering if there are regulations here
@@chesterxman I just went on local forums for electric unicycles and found some sources for documentation ✌️
Liked because the intro is dope :)
OH. MY. GOD. you have a clip of The Room lmao
Amazing
I am a man of culture too ;p
I've watched a lot of your videos and as much fun as my Mantis Pro is, you have convinced me to try an EUC. Do you think a Gotway RS High Speed would be a good first EUC?
Anyway, it'll be a few weeks before my RS arrives.
Nice! Yeah i think it'll be great ;)
Gotway rs high speed
Too late.. I got jealous of the videos and grabbed an inmotion 8f on my holidays. Took me two weeks to learn to ride, but need to learn the basics like turning and getting on and off.
Love Your videos.
Espechaly wacth out for roots, doing.🤣🤣
can you recommend some tires which can provide some kind of suspension so it doesnt jump when you go little faster and hit some hole and the best patern for for tire for city and wet roads or tile roads
You are one skillfull rider/presenter/cameraman. It's still unclear how the braking works, is it done on the motor by leaning back and how do you handle downhill slopes?
any advice or instructions on riding uphill or downhill?
So what is the name and brand of the machine used in video. I been looking at e scooters for weeks . This is actually a lot more interesting/powerful and practical thingy.
I'm looking at a used KS-18XL, strongly considering buing it as its selling on almost half the original/new price. But Its 3,5 years old and seems to have been used a lot by the owner (lots of marks of usage - although just 2400km total milage). As you say you wouldn't buy a 3 years old one, would you consider this offer though? I'm having trouble deciding!
Merci Mr wrong way
Nice intro down the stairs. I still haven't tried going off 1 curb. I need to man up and just do it.
The answer is speed! Try 1 forst then two then three and so on ;) the longer each stair the more speed you need
i think its not good for bearings in wheel :D
grow a pair )) sorry for that. you have to mod your wheel for solid grip to fully utilize it, put some Kuji pads or cut yoga mat and glue it on hard edges, replace bolts in pedals with set screws. I had ks-14d which weights ~14kg and put neoprene pads following Kuji guide in "How to jump with any electric unicycle", I was able to hop on 23cm curb every time (watch Sidestreet Reny for ks-14 tricks, he is really in to jumping), after 2500km I turned it and got ks-16s v2, which I really love, I learned to idle and reverse with it, it weights 17kg and I can travel 20-30 km not getting too tired, i glued some eva pads and able to jump on 33cm curb like 9/10 times now if I'm not too tired, that's my physical limit - I weight around 70kg and do more sitting (coding) then walking.
What's your helmet brand and goggles? thanks
Hi can you tell me a Good EUC to buy.. Brand Please Thanks nice video....
Great video. Thanks
Your comfort level is wonderful. At 78 I don't see a EUC in my future. Ah! To be 50 again. Cheers
You talked me into it, now where can I buy a like new used EUC ?
Hello sir, would like to inquire more about the Flypads the company that you promote provides but having difficultly communicating with the website due to the language barrier. What is the cost of these pads in US $. I will be using them on the V11. Will appreciate your efforts.
What kind/model are you riding in this video?? Looks cool
Im a new euc rider @200+ lbs 6’1 tall. Would you recommend the V12? Thanks!!
What and where are the wrist protectors to be had? Thx
electric train's tracks too. I had to slow down for those.
what is the recommend cruise speed for best milages? for bike party marathon.
Hi,good one! What's your experience and opinion on spontaneous ignition of those eucs (batteries)?
Mine hasn't caught fire yet :)
Covif Free vehicule !!! ahah Nice video was good infos especially for new riders or people who had second thoughts about eucs.
Do you get tired standing up? How long do you think it would take before you do get tired?
Epic infinite stairs intro !
Looks like a beautiful way to explore a city..
Which EUC were you riding in this video? There are so many qualities and cons with each EUC, I can't decide which one to get. But I do like the foot stoppers on the one you are riding, and the sharp turning radius it appears to have, without peddle bite. Edit: Never mind, looks like the Inmotion V11. I didn't know you could add those foot stoppers to it. That certainly helps narrow down my choice. Early videos I saw of it, it looked and sounded like it was difficult to speed up on or to jump with because of a lack of contact and grip with the device. Doesn't seem like an issue with those. I just wish it had a speedometer and odometer without needing to use an app. Otherwise, it might be perfect.
its plastic, you can literally just glue whatever you want on the size of it to support your legs.
Inmotion V11
which euc are you riding in the video? seems waterproof? or just very water resistant?
helpful vid
Just bought a V11. Have about 30 miles on it so far. Started on a Onewheel Pint, to a V5, to the V11. FWIW, I'll be 70 in June. :)
It would be interesting to know the Range and distance between charges
options for flatless tires?
Right on dude 😎
I could have watched you go down those stairs forever. That suspension is looking nice.
u should do a review on boyueda scooter and Dualtron thunder
I'm looking for an euc which could probs travel to at least 40mph any suggestions what to buy?
Great content ;)
Nice review and horrible to see all those rubbish rental scooters laying around, never see this with Private Owned Scooters!
Man u handle the stair like a champ
What you think about barbour international motorcycle jacket for unicycle ?
Thanks for this! 3200 km and counting on a Ninebot one Z10
Do you recommend Segway unicycle s2?? Thanks!
Knees though. How about them? They work all the time in absorbing all the bumps and dips in the surface. They are the suspension (and the tires) since not every model has one.
Should I get the Inmotion V11? I'm 5'2" and 127 lbs.
thx
FROM TIMES SQUARE New York City. !!! YOU GO GUY’S 1 LOVE &. PEACE
MSP ht version as a first euc. Good idea?
what are the good brands? I saw yours is Inmotion
What kind of front bumper for msx family?
thanks for the video! that answers most of the questions I had so much appreciation for your thoroughness. One question though related to "exercise". I have an e-bike and when I ride it, I'm always "air-pedaling"...meaning pedaling but not fast enough to match the speed of the hub motor. LOL I pretty much do it for at least a tiny bit of exercise. Would you say you get more exercise riding an EUC than riding a E-bike? It looks like there's a bit of isometric tension going on in the legs and also you're standing as opposed to sitting.
I know...stupid question...and why don't I just go for a run, right?
The answer is: Because a run isn't very fun! And swimming (my usual exercise) isn't something I do anymore since COVID because you don't have to wear a mask in public swimming pools and I have become a total germ-o-phobe!
Thanks for additional information here! and sorry for the looooonng winded approach to asking it.
Give me a short story and I can make it long with added details no-one cares about! Maybe I should do youtube videos, right? LOL
It's actually a lot of work when you are a new rider and you may need rest breaks. After you get used to it so is it more work then walking (time wise, not distance). You could compare with it with downhill skiing in very gentle and flat slope. It's not bad exercise as it fills the most important criteria, it's fun. Any excise you do is better then one you wont do because it's boring.
What's a good euc for beginner? I'm looking into one. Thx for video👍
If you want an entry level, the In motion V8f/V10f or Kingsong 16L/16XL, midrange kingsong 18L/18XL or Inmotion V11
I’m getting one
Is it easy to change the tire?
