    Observation. At 38:22 you day that fuss can be moved. Yes and no. You can de-rate a higher circuit to use a smaller dust but you shouldn't do the opposite.
    I have seen these boards without the silicon coating and the construction of the higher amperage channels is different to the others. The higher annotate use two solid state relays in parallel.

    Another great video Bob. For the control panel - I saw how you demonstrated you can change the color of the illumination. My question is - can you change the brightness (increase / decrease) of the illumination of the control panel ? - much like you can do with the illumination of the stock instrument panel.

      Yes. It’s easier to download the app to do all that. the app gives you a lot more functions at your fingertips to choose icons, dim lights, choose colors off a large color spectrum, and program your group of lights together. I wanted to film the app portion but i didn’t have a second camera to record with.

    Did you end up changing where you put your add a fuse. Coz initially you have tap to the rear wipers but when you tucking the wires it looks like you tap’d it on a diffrent one. Just wondering because i will be doing this soon and i wanted to know where to tap the add a fuse wire. Great video Bob! Appreciate it in advance!

    • @GXBOB
      @GXBOB  Před 2 lety

      Rear wipers fuse is where i left it. Reason why you saw it in a different location is because i was originally looking for a neat installation. I chose the corner rear wipers in the end. It really doesn’t matter what fuse you choose as long as it’s an accessory that turns on and off with your ignition.

    • @GXBOB
      @GXBOB  Před 2 lety

      Hey Josh, there is a really good write up about this from another post that can explain it better than i can. Go half way down the thread and read a post titled "wiring accessories to the system". It starts off explaining that even though the circuit breaker is labeled 60 amps, its actually a 100 amp circuit breaker.

    • @GXBOB
      @GXBOB  Před 2 lety

      @@JoshRus Basically, you are correct because low current can flick the relay to bridge high current to your light bars. But i would sleep better at night if you were to use the 30 amp channels to trigger your relay as opposed to the 10 amp channels.

    • @GXBOB
      @GXBOB  Před rokem +1

      Amps = watts / 12. Let’s say each foglight is 55 watts. 55x2 / 12 = 9 amps. 2 foglights running to a 20amp fuse is more than enough. You can actually run 2 foglights at 100 watts each and still be good.
