SP Little Knight is ALREADY a slap in the face. The difference between TCG and OCG is THEY CAN AFFFORD to play 3 SP Little Knight. Lots of people in the TCG can't even afford 1. SP Little Knight is the most pay to win card in the TCG.
All I hear is cyber knight buying hella Korean product while complaining about little night at this point. Knowing how people blow their money, it’s one of the last cards to complain on 😂.

We can still criticize. Changes COULD be made. To say that something is pointless is to misunderstand the impact you could have.

When it would have cost me a few hundred bucks to update my rogue deck to be modern, I dropped the modern game altogether. The last time I went to locals the only people aside from me that showed up to competitive night were the people with engineering degrees working some of the highest paying jobs in my city. I can only imagine it gets even worse during formats even more expensive than that time.

I could honestly see Summon Sorceress coming back with the errata here in the TCG but it not taking effect until whenever the card gets reprinted like they did with Ancient Fairy Dragon and Firewall Dragon

The semi limit list is useful for Konami to express their desire to eventually ban an expensive card. That way people can sell it to try and recoup some of their money.

Why are we surprised? Konami was obviously going to protect fire decks until they get the reprint equity. It doesn't help that every pro player just seems to be in love with tier 0 snake eyes format.
What?? Wanted being limited to 1 is a consistency hit. Not even branded fusion is at one. It’s insane to me how people call this a tier zero deck when it only feels that way due to how many people are playing it. This deck is not as strong as tearlaments was. Ash was also semi limited to 2. Those hits are not something to scoff at..
@@joestar222that’s what I keep saying as well. Fire isn’t as strong as Tear or Kash even.. certainly not as strong as Zoo either when it was tier 0. It’s just popular and people are gonna play the best deck. The deck is fun and certainly strong but it’s not even the only viable deck out right now.
@SwagMaster824 Tier 0 decks are measured by how oppressive they are to the current format, not by how powerful they are compared to other tier 0 decks. To deny that snake eyes is the best deck right now is abject denial of reality. When the most competitive players are saying there's no reason not to play snake eyes, you know it's a problem.

Hot take but Drulers having HOPT + 1 of their effects per turn was an outstanding future-proof card design even if they were ahead of their time. Just try them with HOPT but every effect usable and they become as good if not much better than Kash.

Discard it + a fire (like Tenpai) and pop something.
Banish the discarded Blaster + discard to summon Tempest.
Blaster triggers and adds another Blaster or a card like Tempai.
As soon as you use Tempest as a material, you can now banish it and summon back the searched Blaster.
Tempest will now trigger and add another copy to hand.
This seems to require a lot of cards, but imagine playing 3x Drulers in a Dragon Link combo pile (with dragon tuners). Every card is a body that will replace itself and also has situational effects to either help your gamestate or hurt the opponent's. It can easily get out of hand with card printers like Black Metal Dragon.
I believe thinking them as exclusively rank7 turbo engine doesn't do them justice. Kash is much better in that.

If you use them as extenders, then they are truly better due to the kashtira's restriction
@@lordofcrows not only as extender, but a "what if" they also had access to all effects on the same turn. This is a huge restriction getting the Thunder Dragon/Shaddoll/BA treatment.
For the first time in ages, I'm nostalgic for the good ole days when Konami would release a blurb alongside every hit explaining why they were doing it... EXCLUSIVELY because I"d love to hear them try to stand there with a straight face and try to explain to the players what they want us to believe Little Knight to 2 accomplishes.
The Errata TL;DR of Summon Sorceress is: The summon from deck is now attached to the Link Summon Effect instead of being a separate effect AND it has a Type lock restriction if you summoned from the Deck with the 2nd part.
And now you can use Ash to negate its only effect.
Little knight to 2 when it's a one of in damn near every deck is peak konami mentality
And its a 2 of in most decks that run more than one. Also any deck that runs 3 can cut to 2 no problem.
This is why it's hard to give credit for when they do something good. They are just generally incompetent and useless

I mean, if I am playing a Fairy Deck, I am playing Counter Fairies or Darklords with their Link Monsters, but thanks to Summon Sorceress, Darklords will have more incentive to play Super Poly and bring out First Darklord

The only issue with DarkLords is the Indulged that locks into fairy effects and is the best starter and normal summon of the deck. You could also make Apollo with Sorc + the summon since you summon Fairies and are locked into Fairy effects anyway, giving you an additional protection as well as a free climb.
Fire King Snake Eyes version barely touched especially when they have the exclusive consort. I hope TCG has the balls to limit Ash in addition to wanted.

Summon Sorc going to go hard in Yubel decks. It will act as board breaker if you have Super Poly, but no Yubel yet and it makes it so that Yubel will NEVER lose in time

i love how the ocg uses the semi list as a warning before outright taking them behind the shed. just a warning like,"you better stop or you'll be seeing old yeller in the future." also didnt the tcg have a nothing burger list kinda like this back in june 2020 or october 2021.
Not only what you said with Summon Sorceress, you used to be able to use her ss from deck effect matching a monster of yours that she points to. Now she HAS to summon a monster from your hand to the opponent's field to get her summon from deck effect. Big yikes.

This is great because the more Konami fucks up, the more likely people stop defending and supporting them. They will never change if there is always a guaranteed group of players who will buy product and attend events no matter what. It would be great to see yugitubers endorse something like this, but that would jeopardize their business models.
Blaster is a staple in Tenpai Dragon.
Also, Tidal will benefit water. Especially since the babies are unlimited.

Extra deck cards are bad for Semi, unless they are essential like the Aroma Link, for certain combos.
SP is just a staple power card where 2 is no different than 3.
The question of "Is kashtira better than drulers" is dumb. Because if the DRulers were back at 3, Kash DRulers would be the best version of both archetypes.

I've had Summon Sorceress since she was banned, (bought an old box at walmart she was in) and thought I'd hang on until she was playable, this errata doesnt sound too horrid. Bring out your Baronne first before locking into whatever type you play or use most.

Summon Sorceress errata is pretty harsh considering that summoning a monster on you opponents field wasn't mandatory, she could target any monster linked to herself, the special summon effect was a ignition effect and, of course, no type locking. Them again, i'm 100% sure that some deck will break this new version.
Don't forget it didn't negate whatever it summoned to the opponent's field, enabling FTK loops with mandatory triggers or locks like Ido/Iblee.
From a first glance it's a perfect link for Yubel decks, immediately enabling Super Poly and also preventing Evenly which was quite the pain for the deck.

Brionac: Don't even get me started, I just wanted some poor Zombies to have a Safe Return back to life.
as dated as it may be, I can see some Summon Sorceress synergy with Dinosaurs. Specifically with Lost World. Get Lost World on the field (implying you open with it or with Terraforming so the strategy ls already limited), then summon the Sorceress, give the opponent a baby dino, then summon whatever Dinosaur you like, while also giving the opponent a Token, then pop off whichever way you can by attacking into the baby for free advantage or whatever else. Dinosaurs wouldn't care that much about the type lock either way.
Or maybe use her as a way to turbo out some Hero monsters. Maybe use her effect, summon Malicious to the opponent's field and then grab whatever Hero you like, attack into Malicious, and then next turn you have a free Malicious to play with. Just a couple of ideas. I feel like she'll fit well into "pile" decks like Zombies, Machines, and Dinosaurs, but also has potential to be an instant win button in very niche situations.
All this being said, I'm only returning to Yugioh after I stopped in like 2017 so I have no idea the impact she had on the meta prior to the errata. Still seems like a pretty strong card to me.

You know Dino can search any field spell in the entire game thanks to Horned Saurus right?
About HERO, Faris which gives you the free bodies locks you into HERO after using it, but more importantly Crusader (and a bit less Devicer) lock the entire turn to HERO. Also in Neos Decks (rip Isolde) you now have to play Engage which locks into Fusions the entire turn.
@@babrad lol like I said, I'm a returning player (and still pretty casual at that). Last time I played was when ABC was meta so I'm pretty far out of the loop by now and just getting my feet we with it all again. Had no idea Horned Saurus even existed but man that's actually kinda nuts to have an in "archetype" Terraforming. Dinosaurs are/were my favorite deck type so that's exciting to see.
Also I knew even less about Hero when I played so I'm sure my Malicious idea aged like milk lol just making conversation I suppose.

But then again I believe you have to make a bit of a "research" for a pet deck when you come back as a dedicated fan, so I'm genuinely surprised you didn't know about Kaitoptera stuff. I hope you weren't offended.
As a suggestion for when I take breaks, I always try to look for "dino deck 2024" videos to see the difference from the buids I'm aware, then track back set releases from the latest to the one I was still playing (backwards) to see with what other junk those new cards came as well as get an idea on how the game progressed.
I understand it can be overwhelming from a 6-7 year gap but dino basically stayed the same "pop da baby" but now the brickfest of True Kings isn't needed.

No worries~ Glad to be able to cut the True Kings and Yang Zings tbh but I think 1 or 2 Lithosagym might be good to keep in regardless, but I'm also sure there's plenty else to fill the space, possibly with more efficiency. The Xeno Meteorus cards look cool which is exciting to try out.
I'm definitely going to start doing some more homework too on the topic in general. I had to stop playing because I quit my job at the time and had to cut corners, then I got a job that just didn't allot me the free time to play locally but now that has changed and I want to get back into the swing of things. Admittedly though it might not be the best idea in the long run, in the middle of a tier 0 format lol gonna be an uphill battle but I've never particularly cared about the meta either way, I'm a casual at heart.
@@Quasartist the format can become irrelevant if you get some friends to play retro or try out rogue options. The lifeblood of casual/semi-competitive is always a good local's environment.
Litho is busted on paper but you have other ways to pop those babies in-engine so the only thing you gain is the extra-deck rip along a potential brick instead of something to either help you see your engine (like a pot) or a card to help you deal with the opponent (like a boardbreaker or a handtrap, depending on your preference)
Try to focus on doing your thing consistently over doing something broken once in a while.

Use summon sorcereress to summon white stone on your opponent’s side, then summon chaos max(not from summon sorcerer’s effect) and attack. Or you can one shot your opponent, by summoning effect veiler to your opponent’s field, after you have summoned every monster(eg: summon chaos max prior to summon sorcereress.)

I'll give credit where credit is due, the OCG has a habit of doing small hits to problem cards slowly, but surely.
TCG goes all in or just lets shit run at full power for a long time with zero checks and balances.
SP to 2 is like if in Adventurer format Konami said that they should limit Gryphon Rider.

The most logical reason I heard for SP's semi-limit was for team tournaments with a shared card pool. Which TBH is still a flawed solution since the weakest member could just run stun and call it a day.
I agree with bring back the Dragon Rulers at 2 or 3. It’s small, but cards like Tempest help quite a bit in stuff like Red-Eyes and Armed Dragon

I wonder who and Konami OCG had a hot wife for the execs to sleep with in exchange for not limiting Snake-Eyes Ash, because that madness needs to be Limited. Summon Sorceress for Rarity Collection 2 confirmed and Tidal in the spring was early on my bingo card. I had Tidal for a Summer drop.

Wow with the new errata on sorceress they are making summoning curse look like an even better flood gate choice. They just keep giving us more cards to give to the opponent like gen and ken.😅 I am so looking forward to busting that card!!!😊
the semi list is the way to put a card name on the banlist with out hitting the card. extra deck monsters is uncommon to play 3 at all and for main deck its not a hit.
This banlist is based (except for the extrav hit, wtf?) especially with TCOBO actually being at one which I wanted just to match the card name.

I mean, as far as Konami erratas go, it's at least still usable unlike quite a few of them from the past, so that's good

My only theory why they butchered Sorc rather than just release a retrain is because the art was too good (yeah I'm a sucker for waifu bait, sue me) for them to leave in the forbidden abyss.

I just want Butterfly dagger elma to be errata'd and unbanned so i can summon Guardian Elma and use its effect. Its the only Guardian that needs to be summoned to pull of its effect and it can't because the card it needs to be summoned at all and be usable is *banned* Talk about the worst luck. It has a really useful effect too if you ever want to use guardians which i do.
They should just give that whole deck a retrain

A good attorney could easily draft up a proper C&D for the creators OP mentioned for content that strays beyond fair use protections.

I know it will not happen. I just hate how uninteractive this deck has become in anything more than a rogue format. And when try harders come in ruining the environment of a laid back local (like it happened yesterday) I just hate it, sure anyone plays whatever they want but don't come to other locals that are way less competitive just to easily win...

well they gotta play somewhere and those more casual locals may be the closest places for them to practice. And even if they did slaughter snake, a new deck will take its place. It's literally an endless cycle. Konami just wants to sell cards.

i wont play POS like them its a instant quit no matter what hand i have. Its SAD these guys go to real life decks and pick on kids and brokies for their dopamine rush
