Yeah Maxx C will never get hit here in the OCG. The Japanese guys mock combo deck players as "masterb8rs" in their local language, and majority probably don't want it to be hit.
The only copium left is that they're waiting till after worlds to do it so they don't blow everything up right before 😅

The competitive scene notwithstanding, if you want an idea as to whats going to be hit next in the TCG, I'd take a look at Rarity Collection 2.
Konami realized floodgates are bad yugioh after that board meeting last year. We've been seeing floodgate hits since then in either TCG or OCG.

It really does feel like the OCG side of things is using parts of the limit and semi-limit list, as some kind of 6-9 month watchlist to either move cards closer to being outright banned or move up cards from 0>3. Littleknight and Beatrice will likely be banned come the Oct list.
Hot Take: The reason why Snake Eyes was so busted was because it was created as a way to circumvent Ash Blossom. Ash Blossom warps game design. It's time for its giant forehead to go.
Gimmick Puppet of Strings, while I agree the combos they do is linear, Gimmick Puppets can also OTK reliably from 1 or 2 cards and unlike the ftk, it doesn't need 2 or more strings to do it, so I think the deck is still playable, but mainly as a OTK deck with lots of room for non-engine similar to Tenpai. To me, Strings to 1 is a good hit.
Beatrice though... should've been banned straight up. All decks that use fiendsmith engine only play 1 beatrice so this hit is bad.
format aside, catapult turtle is the 2nd card to be banned despite having an errata
The Beatrice hit feels like when they put Calamities to 1 for some reason.

Master duel has a separate ban list from both the ocg and the tcg
The most likely reason Beatrice and S:P were limited is OCG likes using the banlist as a way to signal that they have plans on banning cards later on.
They usually do this more with newer cards as they'll get harsher backlash in OCG than TCG. They're less inclined to do it with older cards, although they might still do it.
Has that reason been established already or we players just forgot?

I just knew when S:P Little Night was revealed that she was too broken to remain in the game. Will she get banned in the next list? We'll see.
@@joshuacedricfranco6928 She isn't broken on her own. Just really good. Her on-summon effect has a reasonable drawback. But there is the interaction with Masquerena which breaks her a little. To add merit to the IP ban, SP isn't the only target. Knightmare Unicorn and Underworld Goddess are the others you can do some dirty disruption to your opponent though Underworld Goddess needs more materials.
Not everything. They still haven't begun to hit Yugitubers with DMCA takedowns.

Zues to 1 makes sense. I've had so many games involving Zues where my opponent summons multiples of him.

Capg, was on channel way back in 2011, at 15 16, i found new ftk. Inzektor, morale boost, and performage.
It only possible, with lvl 3 pendulum pendulum search lvl 4 or lower pend
All I want is for Konami to once in their life, make sense and do mayor bans.
1. Limit handtraps.
2. Massacre these decks like Snake Eyes and other decks like this.
3. Make it so that decks with actual limitations in their cards (Exosister, Rikka, etc.) are viable, instead of these decks that are build to go through multiple negates and handtraps.
4. Ban a lot of those generic extra deck monsters (think Verte, Zeus or S:P Little knight).
I know it will never happen, but this is the only way to make Yugioh playable, and not go through the endless circle of power creep, building decks to bypass handtraps etc., lower class decks suffering due to overpowered decks using generic boss monsters etc.
Ban all effect monsters. Return to cave man Yu-Gi-Oh!

I love the DRs to 2, even though the state of the game right now they arent gonna do much in terms of meta play, but the rest of the banlist hits so many things... yet does very little.
The way Snake Eye becomes fair is Ban Flamberge.

@@Efgand0894 no you only need to ban Flamberge and then Snake Eye is fair cause now they’re boss monster can’t revive them upon destruction the only decks that can defeat Flamberge specifically are decks that have banish removal like Mirrorjade but you have to run a branded engine for the mirrorjade and so few decks can use the Branded engine. You only need to ban Flamberge and then it’s fine.

This for once makes sense. It hurts lists who run pot of prosperity and extravagance, and means if the monster dies it's no longer an issue.
I guess we gotta wait until after their competitive season ends before they even discuss Maxx C.

Still better than the TCG lists. At least OCG does actual hits to fire. TCG ignores the actual problem decks and does blind hipfire on generics hoping it will do something

@@darkglass3011 nah, it's legit too good to stay unbannned, but the problem is that tcg chose to wimp out and not hit proper snake eyes cards on top of it. had they did something like ban flamberge, limit ash, AND ban linkuriboh, then the problem would have been solved, instead, they banned pieces of nonengine, and left the whole core intact for no reason.
@@vla1ne And made the problem even worse considering there other decks that used the generic cards. Baronne is too good, but Savage was kinda falling out of favor outside Dragon Link because it demanded a link monster alongside a Synchro package, preferably a link 2 at least making so it often comes too late to negate stuff or forces predictable lineups.
@@N12015 Savage being another generic omni negate meant it would have just been the next monster to be top dog after baronne. Using links isn't really that big of an ask, it was just easier to make baronne, so it fell off.
The issue really is that konami hit some of the big names, but chose not to follow through to hit some combination of ash, poplar, OSS, and -block dragon- flamberge.
I’m glad they chose to hit puppets early and not just wait because support came out. Hopefully we do the same but I doubt it.
S:P on her own isn’t much of an issue, but it’s annoying when used with I:P in going first strats, S:P could have made a really cool going second card, but was designed super poorly

I want to see some floodgates come back, bc some rogue decks Can only rely on shifter and floodgates stay in the game if any floodgate need to come back at least bring back that can only be one at 3
Cap do you not have a translate to English option for your web browser instead of guessing although your quite experienced in the game at the very least you can make it translate the names and info as what if a errata was done on this list how would you know what it does other then searching for it specifically
11:20 Tbf, Poplar is already played at 2, Bonfire is at 3 on the deck and let's be real, that's a RotA for pyro so it needs to be threated as one right now. Semilimit feels fair enough up, at least until Snake-eyes becomes rogue.

IMO limiting extra deck cards doesn’t do anything. I know there were people playing little knight at 1 but I don’t think it will change much. Beatrice is also already a 1 of anyway.

Not now it isn't. It's balanced over something like Lavalval Chain because Rank 6 isn't as accessible. Curious dodged the ban for a long time due to being a Link 3 that needs 3 materials but it's the fact it's a Link monster that can do what it does that's the issue and it was extremely easy to make for any Deck that can facilitate the Danger engine. In the case of Beatrice, Bystials exist and they're a very splashable engine with mostly Level 6 monsters.
Hot take. But I think tenpai is dead in the ocg.

Well for Summon Limit and Skill Drain ( i think its going to 1 or banned even in TCG), you still have Summon Breaker and Powersink Stone.
I think I:P gets banned over S:P, when that time comes.
For TCG i would love to see the DRs at 2 and Glow-Up Bulb at 1.

Also why does Konami print a Temu version of Maxx C but doesnt ban Maxx C? I'm tired of seeing both Maxx C and Ash Blossom together in MD, one should go imo.
For TCG i hope Snake-Eyes gets hit, Kash engine gets hit, Beatrice/Sanctifire/Calamity banned, Electrumite/SKSV/Glow-Up Bulb come back. I think Zoodiac should also get cards back.
Since people want to argue about something thats gets banned from RC2 : I would guess I:P and Skill Drain + Crossout Designator to 1.

Last time Maxx C was hit in the OCG was 6 years ago and that was one format where it was semi limited.

Personally I like Maxx C. I really hate the fact TCG banned it. But I've learned to adjust without it. Max C will always be a devils advocate card. You either like it or you don't. Sadly, modern Yu-Gi-Oh has made my appreciation for it's mere existence only grow more and more

Tachyon ftk. It searchable with seventh tachyon by revealing c101. The gameplan is basically summon numeron dragon with huge attack and then catapult tribute it for game.
Galaxy had a combo that got out a 16k Numeron dragon and turtled it for 8k damage lol

Who the hell is playing catapult turtle in 2024?
The new tachyon cards enable a consistent ftk with catapult turtle. MKohl40 uploaded it a while ago.
