I know everyone is obsessed with Kate, who is extremely talented, but to me Cecily is the best cast member SNL has had in ages. She never disappoints and her accents are amazing.

@@johns818 I dunno. A lot of Cecily's characters sound exactly like Cathy Anne, her character from Weekend Update. Kate is guilty of also having characters mesh together but don't criticize her for it when Cecily does the same.

Deirdre is such an amazing character, I seriously wish they'd bring her back at some point! I could imagine her interrupting all sorts of iconic moments such as Cinderella trying on the slipper, the airport scene from Casablanca, climbing aboard Rose's raft in Titanic... the possibilities are endless!
They did do the cinderella one, the character was very similar. It was with dakota johnson

Wrong. That was a double take for Cecily. Her character does it again a few times after. Andrew has a theatrical background and paused as would a proper thespian for effect.

There are so many amazing moments in this! Deirdre is hilarious, Cecily needs to do this character so much more! Also, although it's a small part, Kate is also fantastic. "I do the whippings!" was probably my favourite part!

Andrew is having an in joke at the Americans by doing that over the top English accent that Americans think English people sound like. Americans still think English people sound like the kids from the film like Mary Poppins and Oliver Twist.
He's a dude playing an American dude disguised as another British dude.
some still do. Its called a cockney accent and derives and still lives in parts of London.
Xx4real2007xX I'm a Londoner that is not a cockney accent. That is what Americans think a cockney accent is. Core blimely guvnar rubbish which more of a 1940s cockney accent. Watch a Guy Richie London film for a more authentic modern cockney accent. But in London the cockney accent has been replaced by the London urban accent now which is a mix of Jamaican, US African American slag and cockney.
I'm a londoner too and in parts of east london they still say things like core blimey

Why are there people in the comments criticizing the way Americans imitate particular English accents? It's a sketch comedy show that's thrown together in a week's time, and the accents in this sketch are supposed to be over-the-top and ridiculous. Jeez.
