      Yes, for sure. The Alpinestars TechAir10 looks intriguing. If I continue to do high speed runs, I'll probably invest in one. Thanks for watching

      @@wiggpickle I recently crashed doing 30-35mph and broke my collarbone, three ribs and scapula. I called Alpinestars about their AirTech line and they said it wouldn't work on a electric skateboard because the A.I. senses motorcycle crashes. If I'm wrong let men know. Great video. I've only hit 38mph. Need more speed lol

    Man that's nutz!!! I'm sitting here trying to figure out where I'd call it. I feel extremely comfy cruising at 30+ mph and I've hit a very easy 34mph on my friends Zeus board. With something as stable as that board I'd like to think I'd push 40mph but it's easy saying that while I'm sitting here. Doing it is another thing.

    • @ZenpaiSama

      Pushing 40 is actually freeing af, X1 Max Turbo and SoCal Hills let me hit 40 mph like once a day. Falling anywhere over 25 mph is virtually the same until you hit 40. The forward momentum means that you’re sliding no matter how or why you fall.

    This makes me want my bike finished. Although I'm going to gear it for a top speed run (100+?) then gear it back down so it tops out around 50 mph. So I don't kill myself. I'm probably going to have to install a steering damper for the top speed run too 😂 Yours looks like it's pretty good 👍

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety +1

      No. Tucking is used when you don't have enough power, but power isn't an issue here. I only pulled 140 battery amps doing this. This board has more power than I'll ever use on top end. The only thing holding the board back is my own fear.

    What are your thoughts on using high discharge LiPo batteries vs traditional cells?

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety

      For race only applications, they're a good choice. My board was built to be a high speed, long range touring board (60+ mph, 45+ mile range), so I use lithium ion cells. Lipo batteries are more sensitive and require more attention.
