Just what I needed. Info is in the manual (sort of), but scattered. Not intuitively obvious to the casual observer as my calculus teacher used to say. Will pair up fully with Korg MS2000r for some FM/VA fun.
Will the digitone send chords to the external synth using the dedicated chord button function that it has? (so when you press one key on the digitone it sends the chord midi data out) Thanks for sharing.
Hey so I’m trying to connect my dread box typhon into the digitone. Midi out from digitone into the typhon, but I can’t seem to get them to talk to each other. Does anyone know the proper settings on the typhon and digitone to do this?
@@DamianoPistoia so i got it to work haha. I can head the typhon in the midi mode. But on the digitone, when I go back from the midi to the synths. I hear nothing. Is that normal?
@@christianessa1926 So if you connect external gear to the Digitone input don't forget to set the correct volume in the master section (left and right). Then in the Digitone midi mode you can play and listen your external gear from its main output and in the normal mode its internal sounds. When you play a sequence, if you have programmed normal and midi mode, you can listen both from main output.
It sucks that the digitone keys aftertouch, and wheels are useless for external synths. I wouldn't have gotten one if i knew it couldn't work. Edit, so apparently it can, it's just not obvious how.
Life saver, much appreciated!
Thank you for this awesome video. What great info. I was just thinking of using my digitone as my controller. And now I can. Stay safe Godspeed
Glad you liked it✌🏻✌🏻
Great tutorial Damiano! I might get a digitone in the future. Just got an analog four this week, love the elektron workflow
Thank you, so waiting for some Elektron tracks from you!
Damiano Pistoia Will upload some soon!

Nice question, I have to try. Gimme few days
Hi, just tested with Roland MC 707 as slave and it works fine. Regards
what about polyphonic sequencing? is it good for that as well?
Yes, you can add chords too. One for each step.

Sorry I don't know this machine midi setup✌🏻

Programe "change" / "Control" change :)

I didn't explore in deep all the parameters. I think AT & MW can work with some external gear too. I hope so😁✌🏻
You can set the aftertouch and mod wheel cc destinations so you can set it up per synth each on a different midi ch
@@ron2298 how do you do this?
I wonder if it sends chords midi data out when you use digitones chord function?
