I agree! If it was witchcraft he would have fell for it the 1st. Time he met her. When the issue came up about the mother in law coming to visit that was when he should have told Linda why he was against it! But since he didn’t tell her makes me think he had some reservations himself.

I know a case of someone who always believed in staying away from married man ...and still fell in love for a married man , who lied to her for 3 years into the relationship. When he told her she ended the relationship because she couldn't trust him again. Sad. She's still single twenty years later .She has never found the right one and has given up. She's happy alone though. Linda there is nothing wrong staying away from toxic people and situations. Many family members a century ago would poison and kill one another for power . Unfortunately times moved on but there still family members not worthy of our trust and energy. Keep grounded you will be provided with people you need in time. I would forgive your husband....but would never forget he is not worthy of your love . I don't follow society norms , I go by my own moral and values, don't care what others think as long it feels right to me .

The husband failed his wife not only by cheating with her mother, but also by: 1) not telling her about her mother's flirtatious behavior when it first started; and 2) allowing his mother-in-law to stay in their home for two weeks, knowing that she would try to tempt him. He may have not initiated the flirtation, but he unwisely gave it plenty of opportunity to continue and to lead to an affair.
And 3: he continued living with his mother-in-law like husband&wife after Linda left him when she caught them in bed having sex ❗❗❗❗

He fell into grave temptation and the people that supposed to rally around him disowned him. He ended up living with the mother-in-law full-time.
