It is a new era for top flight mountain bike racing and for many fans of the sport, there isn’t much that can whet the appetite like shiny new race bikes.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Series unites all mountain bike’s major formats under a single brand for the first time. The new UCI Mountain Bike World Series includes the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup for cross-country Olympic (XCO), cross-country short track (XCC), cross-country marathon (XCM), downhill (DHI), enduro (EDR) and E-enduro (E-EDR).
Comprehensive coverage from the races captures the excitement through exclusive interviews, analysis, reactions and event highlights. In-between events and through the off-season there are regular features covering technical and rider-based topics. All embedded with the latest mountain bike action from the world's best riders.

I wonder how many people didn't buy one cause of Seth's video. I was on the fence and emailed SRAM after that video saying I wanted one but gonna hold off cause of the design flaw (I'm short like Seth on a small frame so I'd have the same issue). If Seth thought of it, and I emailed them, that means there were plenty of others who did too. Definitely got their attention!

It’s a new and improved vivid air. Soon to be released I would imagine.
@@j.l.russell8835 might have been a hack to take the 29er Spectral from 150mm to 160mm travel. An old school 63.5 mm stroke replacing the metric 60mm might be about right. Still got a couple of Vivid Airs kicking around. They're fab
@@peaslaker if you’re been watching close enough, a lot of athletes who are/have been running the new transmission and codes are running this shock as well in some cases. In a bike check video for a week or two ago you can see this shock shares the same hydraulic bottom out feature as the new coil and super deluxe. It’s new, and it will likely dethrone the float X2 as that shock has a checked history.

Not really, they don't make the Strive in a size small enough ;)
Small Spectral is the closest in size to his old size M RM Altitude (the size M Altitude was designed around his geo preferences). Size M Strive is more akin to a size L Altitude.

As a Spectral owner, I'd love to know what headset dust cover Jesse has on his bike, as the plastic garbage that comes stock is really bad. I can't quite make it out though, can anyone make it out?

Why is no one running the old one? Is it outdated and was discontinued?
@@hannes6114 I think because the old one is only available is imperial sizes and was replaced by the Super Deluxe for the new metric frames.
RS building an X2 competitor it seems, apparently the MegNeg can on the super deluxe wasn't enough volume.
@@mrvwbug4423 and it seems like this new shock is a twin tube design like the X2 whereas the Super Deluxe is a monotube.
JM telling us the bike is 160mm front and back. Needs more stroke than the metric 60mm. 63.5 might be just right.
A lot of em on air shocks this season, and looks like mullet fad already passed, or they're only mulleting on certain courses. The Conti Kryptotals seem to be getting popular too, not a single bike with sharpied out Maxxis.

Love the bike design czcams.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube.All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
Why no Yeti bikes introduced?
I don't know but maybe they haven't paid for the advertising and maybe the brand believes that the results are their advertising. but i don't know

Yeti may have declined to do any bike checks. They probably don't want anyone getting too close a look at the race setups on the new SB160.
Race weeks are super busy for the athletes and sometimes the schedules just don't allow time for media - we'll definitely try and get some Yeti bike checks next week in Derby though!
