In Iraq and Afghanistan we would load a couple mags full of all Tracer and use them as “night mags”. Good times
my brother was in the marines in the 70's and he had a "yearbook" with a pic at night with everyone shooting tracers, looked crazy.
My unit we only had a full tracer mag to assist guiding the gunners where to shoot. I HATED shooting tracers other than that. The return fire was sometimes quite noticable
Just an FYI the tracer effect is alot easier for the shooter to see then spectators unless they are directly behind the shooter due to the effect being created by what is essentially glow in the dark paint instead of a tiny fireball. The manufacturer does mention that it is only visible in a 30° arc from the rear of the bullet compared to the near 360° visibility a normal tracer provides.
I respectfully disagree. We've always found it easier to see the trace as a spectator than the shooter.
someone clear THIS UP
NOW WHO SHALL I BELIVE??? egg head here or J DUDE.!
@@mayozambada4912j dude is right. This specific brand of tracer round (non incinerary) and uses the glow on the back of the bullet, making it incredibly difficult to see from anywhere besides close behind the line of fire
@@notnice335 wow!!!! nice to know that bud… ill take that into consideration when i buy my next load of timmothy timmers !
Nice video, cute ammo. The camera frame rate really determines how well tracers can be seen. I usually record tracers in slo-mo with my iPhone's camera.
Got a box of these coming hopefully this week. They look pretty cool
3:58 coolest part of this video 😭🏁💙
Thanks for this great review. For watchers, if you slow video down as much as CZcams will let you; the trace really shows up. I can see potential advantage of non- insendiary hollow points for carry.
Actually, I could see them better before it got dark. That being said, I can see your ear plugs really well! 😳
Good Stuff!!! Rock On!!!
I bought these in 40 s&w, they glow better in person, shot them on New Years beautiful round ❤️🎈💯
Cool for practice but I'm old and set in my ways. I also carry a Glock 19 Gen5 MOS and my carry rounds are Spear Gold Dot 147 gr.. TY for the video, I'll pick some up to tool around with.
Bro, the Navy is so plssed you gave away their "super secret" shooting stance. 😂
My Brother-In-Law, picked me up some of these a few hours ago, I've not fired any yet, but they are pretty Cool.
I recently picked up 2 boxes of 200 rounds each for $218.00 for both boxes. Not because I wanted them but simply because with all the looting & rioting going on, there's a gun/ammo grab as of late & 9mm are almost impossible to find in stores. Thanks for posting this video. I've been curious to see them in action.
So now that they are more available and I got some priced only a tiny bit above regular 9mm I tried them. My testing revealed this: It needs to be DARK so that you can actually see them trace any distance. If it is DARK, then seeing/identifying your target is pretty much not possible. Are they fun? Heck yes, but I don't see the practicality. I also found that it traced better when fired from a 7.5" barrel than a 3" barrel. I took a round apart and looked at the base of the bullet. It essentially has what seems like a gummy dot on the base that when illuminated by a flashlight is charged and then dissipates very rapidly, as in a second or so. Much like an old analog watch then you shine a light on it and it glows really bright and then fades away, only this fades extremely fast.
that's 300 ft. You are a master shooter. Thanks forctheecreview
Awsome!!!
Good video. Thank you for making this.
Side note on camera placement if you do this again; how about setting the camera up low and shooting over it so the viewing angle is directly behind the round traveling downrange?
(😂🤣gay pirate)
what round is being used at 8:28? i noticed you said they incinerate, so are these not meant to be used for deadly force (you just throw them in mixed with the other rounds you intend to use to hit target?)
Thanks
Good video
This would be awesome out of a wiselite sterling
Cool range those calm hills can’t be found anywhere on the west coast
Wow, can’t miss those ear buds.
Lol
I tried moving my head to get a better angle behind you 😂
I got some because it’s all I could find!
Is it just for practice and cool factor, or is it also made for self defense?
I would love to see this in blue
Where you get them at?
Not bad for non incendiary. Saw them at Cabela's for 11.49$ USD
15 bucks now for a box of 20
@@vincentliang3342 $18 for 20 here
Blaster pistols becoming a reality
Had to laugh when you loaded the 19 up. OooOooOO...
Man these blow!
…..Never mind.
That looks pretty cool.
💯🇺🇸🗽
good times
Totes!
@@Highjak86 Are these legal in every state?
I just bought 1,000 rounds of this ammo I hope it shoots good.
Top quality manufacturer
@29duc 2,000 rounds so far not 1 problem, but a little expensive.
What’s up with the claw
Just picked up a couple of boxes of this round. Haven't fired any yet and admit my knowledge of them is limited. I know this may be a stupid question, but is the round still effective at disabling an intruder? In other words, this isn't a toy round right? Thanks in advance, gonna try them out tomorrow night. I assume since I heard it hitting the steel that there must be SOMETHING coming out besides the tracer. Pardon my ignorance please.
A toy round?!? Nah these are actually considered explosives, and is probably illegal in any self defense case actually,
@@wg4487 not even close to correct
The round fired at 5:55 looks like it made pulled hard up and left... ????
I didn't even know this existed. 9 mm is kind of hard to find right now and I was told it was Defensive hollow point rounds looks good. I bought two boxes because I have no defensive ammo. and then I discovered it's supposed to be visual ammunition. it's okay if it works it works if it don't it will still put a hole in somebody.
Yeah 9mm is impossible to find right now. Same with .45acp and all the other common pistol rounds. Everyone is freaking out and buying up all the ammo, holsters etc. Ammo prices sky rocketed it's bull shit. I picked up 1,000 rounds of 9mm for $330 which is ridiculous
Sucks where yall at lol
volume on the stock is up ..price is up 20% in days ..🤔
Lol gay pirate! I was gonna get some of these but didn't think you'd see em. Thought they were just painted on the tail end. Still pretty neat.
Maybe try shooting at higher frames per second.
If you expect this ammo to aid you in daylight or inside a store at night forget it.
do bullets really go that slow?
Que arma es
So they wouldn’t penetrate your target in self defense cases
Where could I find regular tracers? Can’t find them anywhere :(
Google, but they're really only readily available for 556 and 762.
Highjak86
Any manufacturers in specific? Used to buy the American Eagle M856 but they haven’t been in stock for a while.
@@eloygalvan1123 Nah, I just shoot what I find and whatever is the cheapest. Not even sure what we used last, but you can check that semi-recent 308 tracer vid on our channel and the old 556 vid.
Highjak86 Much appreciated!
That is closer to 50yds than it is to 100yds.
100% without question
Yeah, think he meant 100 feet...100 yard pistol shot is insane...but, there is significant delay between firing and auditory feedback from the target...so maybe it's an optical illusion and I'm a shitty shot
@@lanceem23 less an illusion, more like shitty video quality prolly
5.55 sec wtf happened to that round? It took off up and to he left as if he was in the movie wanted
Saw most of them
lf thats 100 yards l'm a gay pirate
l'm not. That's 60
The ammo is not as exciting as I would have hoped. Meh. Good video though
I really should have tried it with a weapon light in hindsight. It lights up like a glow in the dark toy from the 90s so I wonder if it would help or hurt given the light output. I think they'd be pretty slick looking from a full auto though or under NVGs.
prob mo betta in 45
I know it's an old video, but still. Just like the tracer round that you showed, all molten at the top and bent, they probably don't lose mass (and even that would just slow them down, not change their trajectory) like you explained, but change shape and that ruins the aerodynamics, and that's why they are innacurate.
Where u from brooo?
Iowa. This was shot in the central area.
65 yards max
I am calling Fake! When did you shoot pistols😂
HAHAHAHA
You know what a gay pirates worst enemy is right?.... splinters 🤤
LOL. JOKES!
That looks more like 50 yards
Not a new concept, used to shoot Hornady Vector years ago.
After 10:00..tracer looks just like lazer shot..cool..
I bought a box today but if this is the best they do I won't buy another box
I just bought 3 boxes. Thought it would be better than this.
Glad I watched your video. I am personally not impressed, I don't have the land to goof off with. I think if I had land and had competition with a friend that might be cool. I did like the others though.
Haha gay pirate 🤣😆🤣. I'm dedd. It took me a while to get it,lmfao.
So….. Starwars wasn’t entirely innacurate
i can see some of them
The bullet actually does what it says you can see the little red line behind it
Impossible to find......out of stock everywhere ! 😥
Got some 2 weeks ago . Check bass pro

I think they are a good idea yet they do still seem to be inconsistent.
In my experience they weren't inconsistent as far as lighting or accuracy. What you are or aren't seeing is purely due to how the camera captures video and the frame rates, etc.
Don't know if it's just on camera, but not too impressive! The red trail only shows in the beginning of the shot - but further development might be needed for improvement. I doubt the Military would be interested at this stage of development.
Wut???
What video were you watching bro?
What were you watching??? 🤡🤡
The Other colour will be brighter !!!
I would assume the green would be at least easier to see since it's tougher for the human eye to pick up the color red.
At 11:52
It looked to me like you pulled off that skateboard tape with your finger still on the trigger of a loaded gun and it wasn't pointed down range.
Wow dangerous
Were are these legal at ?

Sad video quality considered how good anything else is
Worst tracer rounds ...
You "kind of" want to get video of it? Instead of wanting to get video of it?
Streak are some cheap tracer brand. I paid 35$ for a 9mm boxs of 50rd happy valley tracer and you can clearly see those at night.
Yeah but happy valley is actual incendiary rounds. You aren't allowed to shoot them at most places. These aren't incendiary. They can't start fires like happy valley rounds can. So you can shoot these anywhere. You are comparing apples to orange.

The only thing glowing are your ears 👂.....mate!!!
A lot of talking about everything else but explaining the bullet itself.
100yds my ass, you just want people to think youre a better shot
Have you ever seen the length of a football field? THAT is 100yds
This is waaaaaaay closer than 2 in-zones
shooting gay pirate >.< thats great!
Not really worth the $15 I spent.
Gay pirate 😂😂😂😂
Lol things suck

Not impressed... Glad I didn't buy any before watching this. Good video though!
It didn’t say anything about them looking like Star Wars lasers.
GtaSa Modder I didn't say I expected them to?! Star wars lasers what are you 8?
What the hell were you expecting bro? Pretty cool to me
Does not seem worth it
5:41 of pointless talking
