Tbc was one of my best exp since a kid. But loved/hated the flying to evade world pvp. Also exploited it sometimes as druid with daze effect on flying until a patchfix(could put up flight form in combat and moonfire ppl high up in are to daze them, so they did fall to death and cast flight before i self landed on ground). The zones where great. I liked the dungeons, hc was new. Never got in to arena back then or raid. Lately i dislike the flying more and more. But for a tbc. If they did bring the anti flying net gun from bfa to a tbc game. That would be quite intresting.

My greatest moment in TBC was when I found out you could enslave one of these huge pitlords at the demon base area. I just went on a rampage and killed every alliance I saw with a huge elite pitlord enslaved to me. They ptached that 1-2 months after.

@The Thunderblade What seems to good to you rn, Shadowlands? Shadowlands is just BFA 2.0. It looks 10x better and they have removed shitty systems like azerite, essences and corruption. And they have added shitty systems like covenant abilities and conduits.. for now, will probably add more systems in patches. I dont understand the hype, not even a new feature to the game. Still even got talent tree from MoP and the unpruning is laughable. Only enhancement shaman feels different at all. Shadow priests got an overhaul but still feels the same gameplay wise. Oh, forgot to mention that they cant even balance 12 classes, yet chooses to add more systems in top of those that needs balancing. + 200 "legendary" items that needs balancing.
Even tho legendaries should be OP and broken asF but obtainable by few people and late in last patch when no one really gives a shit anymore.

Like the idea of needing keys to run heroics or even just certain dungeons was great (shattered halls and arc needed their own keys just for normal difficulty). It gave a sense of accomplishment and progression. @Le Tigidou Problem is that no one chooses to not use flying, and that ruins the game. There is no world pvp at all, and that ruins the whole point of even having factions at all. The best part about the game was always being on edge while leveling up, because there was always danger around the corner.
Problem is that people who want flying doesnt even know that it's ruining the game.

    • @werwerqweqwe
      @werwerqweqwe Před 3 lety

Meaning most wouldn't be able to afford it before having been level 70 for a good while already. People had plenty of time to level up to max level without getting ganked in leveling areas. I mean, sure, it could still happen, but it wasn't a major issue like it was in parts of Classic. There were actual World PvP objectives on the map in Outland as well, incentivizing doing your PvP action in that area.

i have the ultimate PvP gear solution:
gear you earn from PvP should be slightly worse than gear from PvE of similar difficulty level but come with special gem sockets. you can stick PvP-only gems in it, which increases damage done to members of other faction, including guards. you buy these from pvp vendors and earn more by having a higher ranking in rated arena and RBG.
so say you're a PvEer in top 1% of the world, and your gear makes you do 100 damage per hit (just simplifying stuff for the sake of explanation) you enter a BG and still do 100 dps.
but if you're an alliance PvP player in the top 1% of PvP players and bought your gear from PvP vendor and haven't set foot in a single raid, your gear does 80 dps. BUT IT HAS A SOCKET! where you can put a gem that makes you do 70% extra damage to horde members. so you enter BG and do 136 damage.
now you might be ganking some orc in orgrimar and a guard jumps in to help him, you're gonna wreck them both because you're just that good. but if you go to raid mythic nzoth, your gear is doing 20% less DPS than the dude who is doing a lot of PvE and has proper gear for that.

Can't wait till BC comes back!! By far the most FUN xpac in the game. When they added the gem system to the already awesome enchanting system it made the game feel so good and personal just like you said! I can't wait to level through BC in this new xpac, but once CBC hits that's all I will play. I never did take down Illidan before Sunwell dropped, our guild was 11/12 in BT and just kind of disbanded before wrath. Will love to run my resto shammy through Outland again and feel normal.

I agree, lower the Ilvl increase between raid difficulties and new raids + remove LFR and bring back attunements and make them account wide. That would solve so many issues and add longevity to the game, You would want to do old raids cause the gear would still be kind of relevant at least the best pieces for your class and you would need to it for attunements. I think that would be awesome. One of my favorite titles ever is Hand of A'dal even tho I never got it. Cause I knew what it meant.

The Gems made doing heroic dungeons rewarding also, where as in classic atm I get so bored at 60 as pve is pointless apart from raids once you got a bit of gear. The only thing that I want from dungeons atm is the mount from strat but i am not gonna run it 1000 times to see someone else win the roll when it finally drop.

I raided hardcore during vanilla and BC, Illidan was the best fight of BC by far, Kael was cool but kinda easy
Not even classic was pre-nerf, we spent like 2-3 months running the original BWL first boss 4-5 days a week. It was beyond hard, we wiped at least 100x to Valestraesz.

The only reason you say that is because you don't care about MMORPGs. You just care about the expansion model. The expansion model changes the fundamental nature of the game, and many of the outcomes of TBC were just that, gameplay changes that could only fit an expansion model, and this is what you were always attracted to. You were never attracted to MMORPGs.

I am more excited about TBC because I feel like I did everything I wanted in vanilla, I've killed all but 10 bosses in the game, C'thun + 9 bosses in naxxramas are the only ones I'm missing and I can do without them. so what I'm going to do, is level up my hunter, farm gold for mounts and stuff like that (I think epic flying was 5000 gold right?), need to farm that shit. I'm making a warlock alt in tbc to go PvP, SL/SL warlock in TBC PvP was the bomb :D

Seeing this just makes me feel like an old warrior (which the class of my main character was!) memorizing their time in battle. Part of you is still on the battlefield. After being so familiar with it you feel slightly incomplete without the battle... I know that sounds so fucking cringe and nerdy... but it just feels pretty real.
