  • Tony Bishop has spent the last 5 years of his life exploring the Cobalt area in search of the source rock of the famed Nipissing diamond.
Tony and his family have done an impressive amount of work on this property and we thought... who better to tell the story than Tony himself.
This is an inside look into the life of a prospector and the story developing around the Nipissing diamond. He certainly adds a few elements of intrigue to the story.
RJK Exploration optioned the land in 2018 and have been working very closely with the Bishop family in order to secure more land and test the land claims in preparation of their next drilling campaign.

Tony has a lot of knowledge and shares tons of it in this video. Well worth watching if interested in knowing how diamonds are found and what the process is all about.

We hope to prove all of Tony's research correct this year. 8 large kimberlites found so far around his land claims.

I have a claim near sudbury that has maps indicating a kimberlite pipe, would be interested in getting on the phone with and having a chat

They discovered 7 micro diamonds on the Kon claim bulk sample and 18 micro diamonds in the Paradis pond sample that was only 50 lbs. Lots of drilling has been completed in the last few months and the company is coming up with some very interesting findings. You can learn more here insidexploration.com/rjx/

@@Insidexploration Congratulations, I'm a diamond prospector myself. I've been focusing on both the Wyoming and Superior cratons for the 3 years. I've found several hundred micro diamonds but only 1 single macro diamond. I've found dozens of new kimberlitic indicator mineral anomalies that haven't been discovered by anyone prior to my sampling that I'm aware of. I started my search around the Kelsey Lake mine on the Colorado - Wyoming border but I really want to find a kimberlite on my own. I'm getting really close based on finding increased amounts of indicator minerals and some chromium diopside. Based on my sampling from the Stateline complex I've found that chrome diopside won't hold up to any more than a mile of transportation from the source. Kimberlite is often found under lakes because it usually weathers much more quickly than the country rock. Unfortunately I won't be able to fund the drilling phase anytime soon but I'm hoping to find and sell enough macro diamonds I will be able to someday. Im not going to make any claims until I can fund a drill because I don't want to tip anyone off of my finds. I was fortunate enough to learn directly from Dan Hausel himself before he retired from the WSGS and since then have purchased all of his books. I believe that American diamonds will sell for 1.5 - 2x as much as diamonds from elsewhere based on how much the Colorado diamonds sold for.

@@ModernProspector So far, management knows the tonnage is immense, the geology is ideal, and the company has been told the chemistry is correct to host large diamonds by CF Mineral Research Labs. Drilling samples of 4 of the 7 new kimberlites have been sent for diamond analysis.

Wait a minute I thought nothing sticks to diamond

    • @Insidexploration

Hi Chris, that's a yes and no type of answer. Depending on the shape and growth pattern on the diamond or being fractured, you can have material attached to a diamond. However it wouldn't take much for any material to be separated from it. In the case of industrial use (and faceting) there is resin bonding and electroplating (typically Nickel) that encompasses the diamond particle leaving a portion protruding. In this video Tony is not referring to diamonds but rather the indicator minerals that still have Kimberlite material attached. Hope that answers your question.
