I find it very interesting how I can find a great analysis from a random dude on CZcams and then watch ESPN and listen to "analysts" getting paid millions to say that "they wanted it more" or "he has no clutch gene".
DBotron facts!!!!
Really, they need to have at least one retired coach or something in the analyst room to balance things out.
Random dude? You kidding me this Pete we talkin’ ‘bout. Been doing this for years since Lakers were irrelevant.
@@ThePunisher1408 I'm actually a Knicks fan and I've never heard of this guy before. Not trying to knock his hustle or anything. But from a larger perspective he's a random dude making professional "analysts" look like idiots. He's doing an awesome job.

This will be used in the finals this season. Hopefully Lakers advance.
You think Miami will advance?
Dean Kruse hell yeah Heat in 5
Of course Lakers will advance.
Heat not winning Celtics. It'll be a classic Lakers vs Celtics and Lakers in 4.
Dean Kruse yah but I want the Celtics to advance so we can embarrass them like they did to us in 08.
2:49 Lebron's real-time analysis of the game is superhuman
True, but that's not the best example...
Because he is a superhuman
@@koreypaul6698 yeah I've seen a lot too.
Not really hard to figure out a zone defence after 16 years in the league lol
@@Aydee9r Haha. yeah you're right.
I'm not just talking about this situation though.
Gotta give it to Vogel, their coaching staff and LeBron. Excellent job this year.
Franz Lee their in-game adjustments have been fun to watch
@@michaelw_yee hell yeah. I gotta rewatch the game to see it but these videos are amazing to understand coach staff minds
Franz Lee Vogel? Lebron can see it .... Miami
Use to run that with him
@@quorumlab stop giving all credits to bron. Vogel is a great coach if hes provided with a great squad. The adjustments he made while he was on the pacers was great
Nah man, no one can stop ad
I just love this channel. The way it explains everything is amazing. You don’t really need good basketball knowledge to understand it.
Even though I’m a lakers fan but I still feel that this channel should explain other teams strategies as well. That will make this channel blow up really quick.
Keep up the excellent work
PETE GOT THAT SECRET SAUCE
Football (soccer) fans like me are so familiar with zone defending, and it's interesting to see it being applied in basketball. I honestly think NBA teams could learn a lot from football tactics
I hope the lakers & NBA donates to LFR to keep this channel going.
AAO HKNSN no zones don’t work well in the nba because almost everyone one can shoot so after getting the ball inside the kick can create an easy bucket. - But at middle school and high school many schools run zones because those problems aren’t as relivent so yeah though some soccer zones may not work I think that we could learn from y’all
This coaching staff knows how to make adjustments and that’s what makes this team a championship title team
This is simple knowledge among basketball players, beating zones isnt anything advanced
@@lukasrudenas5398 Should be simple knowledge, but they werent even in the right formation till bron came back in, they were confused and taking dumb shots
2 3 zone is common in hs bball tf you guys mean by advanved 😂😂
Andrew Chin #Facts
Damn you make me understand the game of basketball so much more now 😤👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Tray Ross yeah I feel you but I just ball to ball I never played in high school or anything. Wish I did though but yeah AD is cash from the mid range 😬 bless up brother
I've loved basketball my entire life, but I never knew how much I DIDN'T know until I started following LFR. Thanks, Pete. You've honestly taught me so much
You think basketball is just dribbling, passing and shooting hoops? There's more deeper meta games to it! It's almost as if it's strategy already in NBA's level. Lot's of mind games in that court we never get to experience but only just watch in disguise of monster dunks and catch and shoot 3s 😂
He never said that is all he thought basketball is, just that this CZcamsr helped him learn a lot more
Lebron and rondo will pick apart and have a field day if the heat run zone
Facts
Damn this aged well Miami really can’t do anything to stop Lebron and ad
Moral of the story one team had Anthony Davis and the other team didn’t
ssimpson11234 Lebron and AD
Shy D yeah of course but AD getting inside for open pull up jumpers was the difference in the game
@@SSJRome True if you ran a zone against teams that doesn't have a decent PF and C it would work but not on this team.
Klays' feelings exactly
the Lakers run double towers in the post that's the key
Who's here 10 months later already worried with the NBA Final's rematch.
Don't think Laker fans are losing sleep over this one...
Don't worry about the Heat they won't get past the Celtics.
@@LazyCrazyGuy This won't age well...
@@toxic1848 let's meet back here in about 5 days
@@LazyCrazyGuy I will be right here waiting sir.
AD is amazing. It was fun to cheer for BI, Ball and Hart, but AD is AD. When you have a chance at a top 5 player, you have to do it. Glad they did.
yea man. i feel bad for pels as they lost a great player and have had zion injured but i love watching the Lakers this season!
That organization has had great players and never amounted to anything. CP3 never went anywhere, AD never went anywhere and now they have Zion and BI with Jrue Holiday. They still won't go anywhere.
Vogel is so underrated ., I love that coach
You are here to check how the lakers beat miami 2 3 zone, because they might face in the finals😏
How the Lakers Beat Miami's 2-3 Zone = Run the offense on AD.
Jefferson dela Cruz when AD in high post that was a easy way to broke the zone defend
Thanx Pete & the rest of your team for this in-depth analysis - really appreciate your time & effort taken to produce it!!! You now have my support & sub...let's go Lakers!!!
Who’s here after Miami won game 6. Lakers vs Miami Finals! Who you got? Lakers in 5
Lakers in 5
Watching vids like this help me understand more quickly what's going on in nba 2k19 when more than a good character is needed. Thanks!
Dude your content is amazing, thank you very much, been watching for a minute now, loved the passion and analysis even when the team wasn't good. You are the Truth.
Best basketball explanation channel on CZcams, great stuff
Just awesome.
Thanks for the quality
Thanks for improving my understanding. This vid is a great dissection of the Lakers’ vivisection of the zone defense.
Interesting...We are on the precipice of a potential Heat vs Lakers NBA Finals..
Very nice break down and my props to everyone involved. I know it’s not his favorite spot but we need AD in that Hi post /Low post area more often than on the perimeter
Excellent analysis as always. LFR videos are an automatic click for me. Keep em coming.
Here after the heat beat the Celtics
Quality analysis once again, keep it up brother!
Who's here revisiting waiting for the finals???
I love your profile pic 👍.
ColeWorld!
Fantastic analysis. This channel gets my highest recommendation. Very well done.
4:34 He didn't want to be Caruso's next poster
Imma block th.. ahhh hell no!!
New subscriber here! Great video and in depth explanation on the 2-3 zone. Very much appreciated for the content of this video
Very good and clear explanation. This guy deserves more subs 👌
Great Breakdown and analysis as usual well done
How tf do u not have a millions subs dude. Ive been following u for like a year now and you break these things doen better than any NBA analyst. Hats off for the hustle and grind my dude. Much appreciated
Great breakdown of this. Thank you.
Each video is a class of basketball to me, I'm glad to see the evolution of the team, tonight we will get 8-1. GO LAKERS!!!!!!
Very well edited, deserve many more subs
Just subscribed 💯💪 you break things down great
As a Heat fan, I have to say this is nice objective analysis. Great video, we’ll see how this matchup goes in Miami!
Great analysis brother!!. Thank you!
Just played this video for some kids I train in a quick film session before our workout
glad that pete is a huge part of lakers nation ,so that we can have great lakers analyst content here
In this year playoff, Miami also use zone D to hide weaker defenders on the corner 3 spot.
Pause
Great work, as usual, Pete.
Man I love the way how spo switch to zone when Lebron sits. 'Bron telling Kuz not to shoot is the best GOAT thing i ever saw off the court
Lebron knows how to pick apart zone and spo knows this haha

Gotta give Miami a lot of credit. They came prepared with a gameplan to make things difficult on the Lakers offensively and executed well. The Lakers struggled for a while before they adjusted.
They used concepts of the Triangle offense to beat the 2-3 zone, parking the big man in the middle and forming a Triangle with player movement and ball movement based off of that. It works exceptionally well with Anthony Davis, I can't think of many big men who would fit better for that type of offense.
awesome content, watching Lakers game while learning strategy. You are a Genius! I'm your subscriber now :)
This video about to make a huge comeback right now.
I miss these videos from LFM. Glad the podcast with Pete, Darius and Mike are still available! And happy for Pete to be part of Lakers!
I always thought lakers film room was just a fan account on twitter until now lol but this is the type of content that i love on youtube
Great video, i got a lot of learnings from this
Wow! This is good stuff here! Subscribed
u can tell that real hoopers are just interested in the game like this by the comment section. Go watch skip bayless or stephen a smith and the comment section is full of slander and hate. Glad to see the positive community of basketball looking to praise in game adjustments, coaching, and overall smarts of the game rather than saying players just don’t want it as much.
But he doesn't post that much
Damn you seen it before the playoffs good call g
Great analysis!
keep it up...I enjoy watching it.
As a long time laker fan (since kobe&shaq), this is channel is a GOLDMINE 😎😎
Very well explained Coach Pete.
Not a Lakers fan but this is high quality content. Gotta do this for the rest of the league man. 😭
Love the analysis.
Bruh...I could not have a CLUE about basketball and your page would still be like...wow. And I know the game and I’m like WOAH. Dude you’re freaking awesome at what you do
dude , this is hella satisfying to watch
Bro why have the Lakers not brought you on in some capacity, you're game insight is the most articulately and well broken down that I've seen on CZcams. Hella professional my dude smh
Actually, spectrum is now running segments that he makes on some of their shows.
@@smokecows420 as well they should this dude is a beast
good stuff bro. subscribed
great stuff man
Fascinating -- I'm sure the Heat run that zone more because there are a lot more of those smaller ball handlers out there now. It has a lot of advantages versus those smaller point guards.
Damn they really exposing their zone now in the finals
These videos are amazing
Good analysis!
great analysis!
You’d think Miami would’ve went away from Zone after they realized lakers figured it out. They got beat simply because they kept doing it + Lakers defense.
they sorta kinda had no choice. they couldnt man up cuz they had no bigs the size of the lakers 4 and 5. also its early in the season. coach spoelstra was prolly trying to see what he could get away with.
Looks like the Heat were just experimenting with their weapon and get it ready for playoff time
Quin Cook started in a nba finals game...let that sink in
Thanks for exlaining
As a laker fan. Why did i just discover this channel just now!? Smh. Keep it up bro!
Well, the Lakers don't have to worry then. AD is also on a hot scoring streak, he is an easy 30 and 10 every game, so if the Lakers abuse this and give it to AD every time in the high post, I'm sorry, but it's game over for the Heat.
Lakers vs Heat baby
lebron in the post is gonna rip apart heat zone so bad they are gonna go back to man to man
Heat are a fantastic team with plenty of players that can contribute in a given night and will fight throughout all 48 minutes, truly a frightening team. Lakers in 5.
I have a basketball game and honestly no one runs the zone but if they do I know how to break it, awesome channel
I'm a Heat fan but I gotta say, this is a really good analysis video. I didn't even know a 2-3 was a thing.
Pretty nice job!!! In conclusion; Smart basketball by the Lakers.
LAKERS IN 5 LETS GET THAT RING!!!!
Good video man.
this is the best i have seen in youtube.
A.D is just so damn good man... when he starts hitting close to mid range shots consistently this offense is gonna be unstoppable... plus Bron orchestrating everything!! So fucking excited for them to continue to build
your analysis makes more sense than any other videos here on youtube including some people on tv calling themselves experts analysts. lol
Lakers is life 👌🏼
1 year later, Miami still doing the same thing, and Lakers still breaking the same thing.
I like this video because it shows Miami's progress in their current situation of contending for a trip to the nba finals #go heat nation
This is ageing well
This is what they've done to take game 1 against the Heat. Good game, 3 more wins to go👍🔥🏀
You can tell that the miami heat is no joke. The heat held the leakers under 100. Its like watching early 2000's where defense is a must. The heat lost because of AD. He is very un guardable.
nice video bro..i appreciate it😉
I love this lakers team
LeBron knows each and every play call of Coach Spoelstra. So it'll be easier for the Lakers
I’m sure he’s created new schemes
More like spo knows how lebron plays
Wow! That smart analysis made me click subscribe.
Great content
Wooooooooooooow this is aging very well 💪💪💪💪 big facts 💯
Lebron and Rondo are the ultimate advantage game plan wise. Vogel and Kidd are great but having those guys literally adjust and play chess....... While both still physically able to move the pieces and get to the basket.
The author(s) of this channel is a friggin' wiz and I daresay has enough knowledge to run a college team. Thanks for the insightful knowledge!
