In today's video, I am sharing all of my ideas about what to do during the first week of school! The first week is one of my absolute favourites because I LOVE the excitement, nervous energy, fun games and activities, and (of course) getting to know my new students! I put together a few of my best tips for surviving (read: thriving) during the first week of school. I hope I am able to help you to get off to a great start for the new school year!

Hi!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting 🤍 (I notice you have a Samoyed too - my Summit is almost two years old. The BEST doggos!) I highly recommend using a classroom economy - I will be implementing it in my classroom for the sixth year in a row. It is honestly the best tool! You will definitely modify/adjust to make it your own but I think you’ll love it. I would recommend getting started very early on. I almost always start within the first two weeks. I usually take a lot of time to introduce it and speak specifically about each job and then it honestly runs itself. Good luck! 🙂
