In today's video, I am sharing a my updated classroom economy for the 2021-22 school year. I have been using a classroom economy for four years now. Every year, I make adjustments and changes in an effort to improve its efficiency in my classroom. I am making a few minor changes this year so I created an updated video to share my latest thoughts and ideas about classroom management.

I really like your system. How much do you "pay" students for each job? Do you keep a list displayed of how much each job gets paid so that students can see that?

Are you American? I find so many Canadians have American accents...funny that....I guess its all the tv and social media influences.... Thanks for some of the tips...I'm not sure about using an economy system but I might try this...I really enjoyed seeing how you organized stuff too Always nice to know other teachers deal with the same emotions...like saying goodbye each year and hello the next!!

Thank you for being here and commenting! I still use my classroom economy and LOVE it! No, I am definitely not American haha I grew up on the East Coast of Canada and now live in the west, so my accent is a bit of a combination right now. It has been interesting to see it change over time and my family always comments on it when I am back home.

@@teachwithtress118 can you link me that Bingo chip multiplication activity? It was with partner and popsicle sticks. I can't find the video as you pack quite a bit into each...and I'm following grade 5 year...last year I was grade 6...also did you have any issues with your admin. using class economy? I just wondered as I'd love to do something like this

i have the chips and wrote most of the tables to 12 (except 1 x) but I don't know where to write the answers and how to distribute to student pairs-would the facts be matched to the answers or just random?

I teach in a Catholic school, so we take the time to pray together throughout the day 🙂
