In today's video, I am sharing my first few days of school for the 2021-22 school year! Our first week was a short one, so I picked up the camera on the second day of school and took you along for a few days in my teacher life. I am excited to be back in the classroom, but am also struggling a bit with this new school year. I share all of my thoughts, a few activities, and my newest teaching strategies as we take on the first week of school.

Your board writing is so neat and tidy! My vertical writing looks sloppy. I always have to pre-write everything, including anchor charts beforehand.
You’re sweet to notice! It definitely took some practice on the whiteboard - I used to write completely diagonally. I have my younger perfectionist self to thank for the neat printing - I worked so hard on printing perfectly when I was in school 😜
Ha ha, that’s my philosophy to drinking water as well. It’s in tea, coffee, and other things, so I’m getting my water intake… I do have a very nice container for water though with flowers and it has a little straw so that makes me want to drink it.
Love the brain activity, especially for teaching fixed mindset vs. growth mindset. Can you share where you got the activity from? Thanks in advance! You are an inspiration, love your spirit.
