Maybe the best DSP radio with Single Side Band for 76€ It has FM with RDS Shortwave Band with SSB (Single Side Band) AIR Band with squelch Medium wave Long Wave
One thing I absolutely love about the D-808 is the ability to turn the backlight on, and leave it on. So many sets give you about a five second illumination and go dark again. It's frustrating to use in low lit environments.
İ bought this radio for 87.58 euro from the Dutch Amazon. İt is the Amber colored screen, rubber feet and Usb-C port for charging so it is the new improved version. İ highly recommend this DSP radio receiver!!!
An amazing radio for the money. I have just decided to add one to my collection. My wife thinks that I am crazy to have so many receivers and transceivers but I show her some of the shacks of my fellow hams on QRZ.com and she realises that I am not so bad.Sergio, many, many thanks for posting another excellent video. 73s de G6XYZ
Anthony Ryan Yeah... It doesn't exist the perfect radio... We need several radios... This hobby can be a money sucker... We need to limit ourselves, but a new radio came out, and we "forget" and buy a new one 😃 Thanks for subscribing
This is the first time i have come across your video and viewed it. Nice presentation. I just purchased this radio last week. It is an all round radio, good on all bands. (i dont know about LW, as there is no LW broadcasting here in India.) And at the price it is a bargain. It has also very good balanced sound for a radio in its class. I don't have a TECSUN PL- 310ET, but a PL-380, and the sound is far better. In fact I have postponed my plans to buy the Tecsun PL-880. I believe you are placed in Spain? Thanks for the rewiew again.
Mr Prasad, I heard that Siemens RK 661 was excellent in receiving signals from shortwave radio stations. Have you ever heard that radio receiver in India? Thank you.
@@receivedSE No, it's not known here. I had viewed a review of a Siemens radio on you tube long time ago, but not sure about the model. But it was a very positive review.
The only good thing about this radio is the Air Band, is much better reception than the Tecsun PL-680... And it has RDS, but the FM sensitivity is not better than Tecsun PL-310et... So the Tecsun radios are better overall
I don't really agree with Sergio's assessment of the D-808 when he says the only good things about it is the airband!. But we all have different expectations and needs. Then we have sample variation to throw into the mix. There has been such a buzz about the D-808 because it's an outstanding radio and not just for the price. Very strong on all bands other than LW (all DSP radios are poor on LW). It's really quite amazing on MW as well. I haven't used a portable with such sensitivity on MW. It's as good as my Tecsuns. Build quality is also excellent. I would happily have paid twice as much for it. It's a pocket (well nearly) monster.
Helloo ! I have Tecsun pl310et , just as yours ! I interesting who is better on FM receiving from 87.5 - 108 Mhz Tecsun pl 310 or XHDATA D 808 !? I will be very grateful to know it , because i'm planning to buy XHDATA :) Thanks very much for answer it will means a lot to me . I wait for :)
¿Ha probado la radio con una antena exterior? He oido que se satura con facilidad, y quisiera utilizarla con mi antena AOR SA 7000, pero no me decido a comprarla por esta razón. Gracias por su respueta. Saludos.
Hi Sergio . hope you are fine ... I am buying this device .. thought of asking you few questions if you are ok with it.... does xh data d 808 has memory delete option ? .... and in case we reset the radio , do all the saved memories get erased ?
@@SPimentaTV Hi, the PL-880, 990 and H-501 are hybrid PLL/DSP receivers. They use analog PLL circuits for the first and second intermediate frequency (IF) stages but a DSP for the third IF stage, which is why they tune like analog radios. Only radios that use a single DSP for the IF conversion will have that chuffing effect, e.g the Tecsun PL-330, 310ET, 380 and XHDATA/Sihuadon/Radiowow D-808 and R-108. The Tecsun PL-600, PL-660, PL-680 and S-2000 are PLL synthesized receivers (no DSP) so they tune like analog radios with no muting/chuffing when changing frequencies. 📻👍🏼

It's a great radio and equally good on FM. It decodes RDS very quickly. AIR band also is fantastic
digitalmediafan Yes, Air Band works very well on this radio, and the squelch is a nice bonus feature... Thanks for watching! Have a nice day
Awesome review Sergio! Very in-depth and concise! I like the background of this radio because it makes the numbers stand out nice and clear!

Nice to see you back Sergio, you will love this radio, I also have it, and it is amazing 👍 Tam.
Yes this radio has some nice features! Have a nice day!
Thank you for sharing. Nice chilled out presentation, well done. I so would like this radio to add to my collection. Pity is my wife would not !
Maybe she could do without an extra pair of shoes next time...?? Ha!
Thank you for the video, very informative and. Usefull as I have just bought a D 808.
Interesting introduction to this radio. Look forward to your further thoughts on its performance.

This is the first review to explain the analog vs DSP value in the XData set. For the price, you cannot go wrong.
@Sérgio Pimenta Is XHDATA really a good shortwave radio receiver? I shall consider to buy it someday. Thank you.
Please make video compare XHDATA D808 with other Tecsun and Degen radios.
I ordered this radio it looks promising and I ordered the sister radio digitech at 1780 as well
I've been two years. Excellent cost benefit
Soy del ECUADOR donde puede consiguir esa radio por favor, ayudeme gracias.
Здравствуйте.Как вам радиоприемник?стоит своих денег?как он вам в эксплуатации?советуете ли его покупать?

we haven't spoken for a long time! What's your opinion on the XHDATA? I heard and read that it's not as good as other Tecsun products!

Sérgio Pimenta........ Muchas gracias. Todo claro.
How about additional antenna for XHDATA? Does it need it? Have you got any videos about shortwave antennae?
how to use thewire antenna efficiently?
thanks bro for unboxing. 73!
You're welcome!
how long does a single charge last

Great man and great radio and great review , thank you so much sir
I can't get my radio to switch to 64MHz to 86 MHz. Could it be locked? I bought it in Germany on Amazon.

Skipping and chopping while tuning was the sole reason for me to return the radio. Otherwise, this radio could have been my next daily driver.
Unfortunately almost all DSP radio have this problem... I think the PL-880 is DSP but doesn't have this problem... But the cost is higher

The battery looks strange to me.
Tenho o Tecsun pl 660 mas em onda longa é muito fraquinho. O fm é bom ainda que não tenha rds. Já apanhei rádios asiáticas e africanas em onda curta.

It's too costly.
Thanks for the primer.
