- Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl VOICE ACTING is finally here! We also have Jenny from My Life As A Teenage Robot and Hugh Neutron from Jimmy Neutron! Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl developers have been listening to the fans and making this game so much better. What comes next?
Voice acting makes Nick All-Star Brawl feel so much more alive! From SpongeBob SquarePants to Danny Phantom, Lincoln Loud, Nigel Thornberry, Reptar, Aang, and EVERYONE else, the characters are brought to life in a new way with original voice lines and sound effects. Nickelodeon needs to step up their game thanks to competition from other platform fighters like MultiVersus.

@@AJ-xc4qe I'm pretty sure none of the characters have lines where they directly address who their fighting it would be cool but none of the footage I've seen of voice acting seems to indicate that.

@@dmdudes2 Personally, I Play on PlayStation and I can find opponents usually in max 1-2 min. Because game was free. I would say that when they will add crossplay, and more people will come back to this game, Online is gonna be enjoyable.
I’m gonna be honest, ever since before it released I always wanted Jenny in the game, so now that she is in it I’m coming back to the game.

To me voice acting was never a deal breaker from me playing this game but it's a great addition! Now some lines can be redundant and some of the voices sound off for some of the characters but nothing is outright terrible.
I personally play this game a lot when I'm bored with smash to spice things up and I'm so glad to see the game getting some goo news after everyone pretty much trashing it these days... I hope people know that the devs are really trying they're best with what they have and care for their fans

I've been playing this game since I got it around launch, and lemme tell you, the voice acting makes it feel so much more alive! The gameplay was already very solid, but hearing all of the characters with actual voices (most of them being voiced by their official voice actors) definitely puts a huge smile on my face.
The gameplay was dead all the attacks felt the same no unique throws sane slapstick sound effects for all characters. These are just some of the things smash Bros and multiverses have on this game

I’m glad that Nick decided not to recycle old lines from existing clips, and rather decided to add in new audio bits. Only problem is; not everyone sounds the way they did, but I’m fine with it

Most of the original voice actors from those old cartoons died or retired. Like Powdered Toast Man and Nigel Thornberry. Others like Aang and Toph from Avatar simply outgrew their roles so they had to replace them with new kids.
@@Misty25939 The VA for Toph has shown that she can definitely still do the voice though. Probably couldn't get her cause she was busy with other projects or something

I haven't actually played the game, I don't even own it. but the "Imagination... IMAGINATE THIS!" line made me Pretty happy.
Thought I give you something to note on for you guys.

Ren (VA was the creator of Ren & Stimpy show, but he had cut ties with Nick and had done some controversial stuff)

I think it's great! They went above and beyond with the cast and it's as close to 100% as we could possibly get. Btw my own research says that this is Fred Tatasciore's first time as Reptar, since the character never actually had a set VA.

The fact that most of the characters' original voice actors were on board makes this update even better.

Wow, Never thought how adding speaking roles make a difference here.
While some voices can't return for various reasons and some sound iffy (Dog and maybe Shredder[haven't watched 87 tmnt don't @ me] and Aang), the voice actors and their sound alikes have done this game a needed service. They also went above the target by how much and how the voices are implemented. Play for yourself and see, you'll smile.
I love Jim Cummings but they should’ve hired Kevin Micheal Richardson to do an Uncle Phil impression for 80’s Shredder lmao
I'm actually surprised that Dog sounds iffy. If I recall from watching CatDog, Dog's voice was basically just a slightly lower version of Spongebob's in terms of sound.
I take it that Tom Kenny's out of practice when it comes to Dog as he hasn't voiced him since 2005.
Shredder had 2 VAs for the 80's show they used his 2ed VA for obvious reasons

Yes, nice! 😀👍🏽 I'm also into voice actors, as I know Tom Kenny (SpongeBob and Dog), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Bentley Griffin (Lincoln Loud), Jessica DiCicco (Lucy Loud), and many others reprised their roles for the game, except a few that got new voice actors and actresses, due to them that passed away or retired.

I'm glad I never gave up on the Devs. THEY wanted this to happen as much as _we_ did and to finally see it all come together AND HAVE ITEMS TOO (let's not forget about thoooooose crazy things), is just beautiful. Once the free CROSS PLAY update happens in the future... That's an even _bigger_ game changer!

omg awesome! a game finally releases voices after a year while multiversus (still in beta) has lines between EVERY character in the game. nice job nic
Jenny was my most requested character for this game since it was announced. It was disapointing that she wasnt in it but with a lot of support from the fans of the game and mlaatr, we were able to get a underated gem of a character back into a spotlight and the game was more fun then ever with her in it. I was basically satisfied overall with being abld to play as her. But now that we got voice acting and items added into the game, including janice kawaye as jenny again, the game feels more alive then ever! I hope this brings back many people who played the game on day one but were unsatisfied, and that they give the game another try, since the updates literally gives it a breath of fresh air, and feels like how it shouldve been released, if not better. Soon they are gonna add crossplay, Thaddeus Crews made a lot of work and comments on it so far, so the game will get bigger over time, so i will keep supporting it as much as can be done.
I'm so glad this game is getting its chance to thrive! I hope to see a sequel with a bigger budget & TONS! more content!

That's not gonna happen unfortunately. Nick won't allow the devs to do that, which is why the character interactions are all quotes for the show
oh u meant that Smash clone. devs will be like let replace Smash with voice acting and replace block with dodge. No one will notice!

Nick All Star Brawl keeps getting better and better! I just hope Jimmy Neutron could be in too with his father Hugh. But I really want Miko Kubota from Glitch Techs to be in the game. She needs to be in the next character pack! We all need to convince Nickelodeon and Ludocity to make that happen!

I actually skipped out on Nick All Star Brawl due to the lack of voice acting. Now that it's been added in, I jumped on the opportunity and bought it as soon as I could.

From what I’ve heard,yes they did! The patch notes literally said “You asked and we delivered!” For the voice acting. I just now got it for the monthly ps plus and really liking it despite having played ultimate a lot recently. Looking good!
I bought the game at release, played it for a little bit, really liked it, but just... stopped playing it. But now I'm playing it again, and I'm having WAY more fun than I was before.
It was the voices. Like, I bought the game early on despite the lack of voices, but it REALLY needed the voice acting work to REALLY make the battles exciting and fun. And I'm all for it. I think I can commit to playing more seriously now, because the matches FEEL more exciting.
When I heard they were adding voice acting into Nickelodeon All Star Brawl, I was both excited and a little worried. What worried me was the thought of them not using the original voice actors of the characters, but now that it's released, I feel relaxed to see that most of the characters have their original voice actors. I played the game after it got this update, and the game definitely feels more alive now than it did before. It's also nice to see that they added items into the game, something made for the more casual audience. It makes me happy to see that the game developers are listening to the criticism and working on it to hopefully make the game better. I am looking forward to seeing more from the game and to see more characters added in.
Voice acting is what brought everybody back really. Ok since it worked for you maybe it will work for me I'm not updating this game until Luna Loud is added. Until then I will enjoy this game without voice acting.

I recently got the game yesterday and I love it now and I love just seeing the fact cat dog uppercut SpongeBob is probably the funniest thing I’ve seen in awhile
XJ-9 was a given. Even if the show was canceled it was still a part of nick. Also love the VAs, about time

I was playing on my PS4 the other night and I got a notification that NASB was getting an update, and I was curious why it was getting one 🤔 So when it was done I put the game in and the first thing that came up was the news about items being available, and I was like “Ah nice!” But then another one came up and I was like “What else did they add to the game?” And then wouldn’t ya know it, it was the one thing we’ve been wanting since the game’s release: VOICE ACTING ✊🏻 I’m not kidding, when it showed the update I gasped in excitement and was like “YES!! THEY DID IT!!” And I was super excited to play the game again, and now thanks to these updates I’ve been playing and loving the game even more now! Seriously you guys, give this game a second chance now if you haven’t yet, it’s so much more fun! 👍🏻👍🏻

Next to Manny from El Tigre, Jenny was my most requested character. I don’t have the game, and while I’m proud she in the game at all, it should not have taken her this long. She’s like Toph in the sense they’re both adorable, wholesome, and badass, and if neither of them made to the game early in its life, it wouldn’t be worth a lot of people’s time.

Honestly, this game is even more phenomenal than when it 1st came out! And now there's less things to distract from the overall experience!
But really, the best about this update, to me anyways. Was to hear Janice Kawaye reprise her role as Jenny! And after, at least 15-years, I'm surprised that she could still do the voice! Kinda doubtful if this'll lead to a revival for MLaaTR, but hey, at least we're getting new content with a lot of care put into it, that's what counts!
I went back to my search suggestion of nasb, and as soon as I saw someone playing the game and the thumbnail saying it had voice acting, I was like no way but booted up my switch, and saw for myself, and low and behold it needed an update, and I got excited, and i was right to be, because they actually did add voices, and items!
I’d love to see an upgraded spiritual successor to Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion but with plenty of representation from lots of Cartoon Network shows like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, and other shows!

I don't know why but I still have that cheap feeling from the game, like, it doesn't feel like a game made by a big company, it feels like a unfinished fan game that just started its development

While yes, some of the voice clips are just quotes from the show, I like how most of them are original and actually make references to the quotes from the show. Especially SpongeBob’s

Glad that Janet is returning for Korra. I know Zach isn’t active as a voice actor much, so it’s understandable he doesn’t return for Aang here. Who the hell is VIVIAN VENCER?! I literally just saw Jessie Flowers at a con recently, so I know she is active and available to play Toph again, so I don’t understand why they casted a sound-alike (unless it’s another pseudonym???).
Also, Aang's original voice actor is almost 30, so it's even more understandable, because who'd want to hear a grown man trying to sound like he did as a kid?
I felt pretty meh about the game before, but upon Jenny's inclusion I started to appreciate the game a lot more since I'm a big fan of MLaaTR, so seeing Nickelodeon finally acknowledge the show's existence and seeing how much love was put into her inclusion made it all worthwhile, and now that they have voice acting, the game feels way more lively. I love hearing some of my childhood favorite voice actors be re-united for the first time in years and the fact that they got the original voice actress who played Jenny (Janice Kawaye) to return for the game made my heart explode. They've already done all I could really ask for by putting Jenny in the game and adding the voice acting.
Even though we wanted voice acting sooner but remember, you can't rush art.
I think its some pretty great timing especially with the game being on PS plus this month

Just bought the game yesterday and I can now safely say that this makes the game 10 times better than when it first came out 😊

The only thing that got me upset is that you have to pay for some of the fighters, but they made Nigel free so I can live with that.

It's Hugh Neutron who is a husband of Judy Neutron and a father of Jimmy Neutron from The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (2002-2006), Jenny Wakeman who is a robot daughter of Nora Wakeman from My Life As A Teenage Robot (2003-2009) and Rocko who is a wallaby who is a friend of Heffer Wolfe and Filbert Shelbach from Rocko's Modern Life (1993-1996).

For Nickelodeon, my guess is that they just wanted to test out the waters with the base game. Not money reasons, just to see what people thought of no voice acting

You have to pay $5 to get jenny and $12 for universe pack which includes jenny hugh neutron and rocko other than that its great that they finally added voice acting

And now its available for free to Playstation Plus members, which is great cause I really want to play it but there just wasn't enough to it for me to just buy it. I really want this game to thrive, but with Multiverse on the way and Smash Bros already dominating, this game has a lot of ground to make up.

It feels weird in putting supporting characters from these nickelodeon shows in this game instead of the main characters. For example they put in Helga from Hey Arnold in the game but not the main character Arnold.
