Mortar round seems to be fatboy for autocannon. Not so efficient but big boom = fun😂

Whats funny to me is despite having a gigantic visual explosion, it has less area of effect that carpet bomber (i believe its like 2.2 vs 2.9 maxed)

Mortar rounds doesn't seem all that good, but its a nice change of pace for a weapon that honestly has some real boring overclocks. Looking at you neurotoxin payload.

I was sceptical of this overclock until I actually used it... Now I absolutely love it. It gives the Gunner a while different playstyle. You do some neat things with the shooting arcs you otherwise can't any other way with this class. The dps is better than I expected and when paired with born ready and the burst fire pistol or revolver you can handle everything in this game. I do recommend using fear mods on the auto cannon when running this and friendly fire is worth considering as well. Try it... I think you will be surprised. Haven't used it above level 4 difficulty - but I always end multiplayer missions as either the primary or #2 damage dealer on team. Understanding your splash damage bubble is a key part of using this overclock (take the mod to make it bigger! - this also helps to damage flying enemies).

Im really excited for this overclock! I feel like the autocannon has only a few endgame options, NTP and trivialize the game at the risk of being boring, or the other OCs that are fine but dont feel like they do enough damage. But mortar rounds are the best, they make this actually feel good and is really fun! I really hope i get it soon as i have the other 2 gunner ocs but not this one.

Yess, autocannon mining is a thing for the oil chunks. Its legit fast though if the shale is up high the rounds might not be easy to land which is why epc on the oil shales is probably still the best at it

I had a horrible escort mission the other day this reminded me of. Two spitballers on the path, pit after pit in the magma core. Dotty decided to fly over one of the pits. Oh and I was on driller leveling it, using the subata and cryo cannon. And got the rocks on the heartstone fight. Cryo cannon doesnt do much to the rocks, and the subata does even less lol

and personnaly I like to pair it with the bulldog revolver, magic bullet OC with full ammo, splash dmg and neurotoxin . works very well

mortar is a lot of fun. with the friendly fire perk there is barely any damage done to teammates in haz 4 and below when you build it for max aoe with 0 direct damage. Didn't test on haz 5 and above. it's amazing for drillevator event too.

ReapeeRon, can you make a video about Rotary Overdrive for the minigun? I've been using it 3X221 and it's been really fun since overheating isn't an issue anymore with the Rotary Overdrive.
