To avoid any confusions this video could lead to, I've been working on and off on this project for the past 3 weeks! However, Ceave Gaming posted a really similar video! I decided I didn't want to cancel this project as I worked hard on it and hat lots of fun with it! Hopefully, you guys will see the difference between both videos and still enjoy them for what they are!

You don't need to feel bad about collecting the 'Star Coins' because they're actually not coins, they're 'Star Medals'.
I always wondered why Nintendo bothered to call them Star Medals in this game, when they're Star Coins everywhere else.
Ben Huang I guess they wanted it to be different, and they’re probably called star medals due to how similar to the comet medals in Super Mario Galaxy 2 they are. But they’re also so similar to star coins that I end up calling them that anyways.

If you live in a country where the lowest form of paper currency is one unit (like the $1 bill in the US, unlike €1 or £1 which are coins only), you could quite feasibly complete a coinless run of life by always insisting everyone keeps the change and by leaving change in vending machines after inserting bills until you can get a debit card / credit card, in which case you can safely purchase things for exact value without losing change either in most stores or online. Of course, you cannot work in a retail job, or really any job where directly handling physical currency is important, in case you are forced to process coins.

I would love to see you tackle Super Mario Land or Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, too. I've done some preliminary tries and I think they're both impossible (keyword 'think').
In Super Mario Land, there are some really precise jumps in the first 3 worlds, but 4-1 presents a vertical dotted line of coins that I couldn't get through. At the very end, there is a whole room full of coins that you can only dodge in the 1.0 release of the game using a glitch.
Wario Land is especially broken. First off, there's a mechanic where you NEED to collect 10 coins to make a super coin that unlocks the doors at the end of most levels. I haven't played through the entire game yet, but there are coins in the way everywhere in the first 2 worlds. On top of that, there's a series of coins in the first level that I couldn't get past, THE FIRST LEVEL!!! There are a couple ways to cheese it though. The super coins that you can make can be throw away and there is a mini game at the end of each level where you can randomly double or half the coins you collected. This would be a "how few do you need to collect (besides the super coins)?' challenge.
Oh well, I hope you or somebody else can take a look at these and have more luck than I did. Happy dodging!

We really need to appreciate Nico's patience, effort and time to do this challenge. First, when he realized he needed 50 star coins to enter the 5-castle, he LITERALLY HAD TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!!! Then, he had to wait out the timer at EVERY LEVEL! And he had to waste time losing lives to get a p-wing for an impossible level... Incredible Nico!

(+**Cash_man4* *) Nope. The original NES game is possible coinless if you use a wall jump. You have to hug a wall and jump when your foot is at just the right pixel as to trick the game into thinking that you’re on the ground. It’s frame perfect IIRC.
