Aurora writes to each one of us, like in a personal, intimate way......so we can understand and apply the message to our own personal experience that's what makes her so incredibly wise, if that s the correct word.......OMG she's bright we are embedded in all these sour lies that we've been raised on we're so full of shit we kind of forgot the basics of being who we are, and where we are, and mainly, what we're here for The Viking Fairy Queen is such a unique and beautiful human as we also are and should be if it makes any sense I freaking love her forever and you Bruna luv your reactions txs Absolutely Beautiful B Lady

    Loved your reaction.
Album is great and very different what she made before. It is also very diverse and for me every song is like a new journey. But there are things that does not change: her great voice, very interesting and often very poetic lyrics. I also think new album is more mature and very well produced.
Ps. This does not mean previous albums are worse, just different. Each album is great in own way. For example many of her previous songs has something which I love - pure emotions. But it was also a matter of themes for the songs and different artistic "tools" used.

One addition. In this album I currently especially love: Everything Matters, Blood in the Wine, Exhale Inhale, Heathens, Dangerous Thing. Innocent is also very very interesting (i have vibes of crazy pianist, dont know why ;) ).

Great reaction, thanks. My favourite track is Exhale Inhale, but all of them are amazing. In A Little Place Called The Moon, The Moon is a metaphor for the future, to which we are all inexorably travelling (with Aurora to guide us). In a recent interview Aurora said this song also provided a bridge to her next album.

Loved the reaction and am really impressed with the album. She's experimenting and growing as an artist, and it is beautiful to see.
Aurora's lyrics deserve some really in-depth textual analysis. I just have one thought on the line from "The Innocent" that you mentioned:
"Drinking lava from the lake" could be an allusion to the lake of fire in Christianity, where sinners are punished: "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."
Drinking from the lake of fire would then be sinning in the eyes of religion (pre-marital sex, same-sex relationships, being an atheist, a "witch" and so on), and could refer specifially to sex, as Aurora seems to say that sex and nakedness in reality is, or should be, innocent, but that we have made it into "something not pure." Some of that is from what she has said of the song:
"It’s the wildest song on the album, I think. I imagine all these people dancing naked around a fireplace. That’s very innocent. Our bodies are very pure, beautiful things and it’s a shame that we’ve managed to make it something not pure. It’s the sexualisation of innocent things that makes the world dangerous."

I think you keep me crawling is about the relationship to a God who demands obedience and punishes those who are seen as sinners. And the song is asking: if you are a loving God, why do you demand me worshipping you and make me deny me parts of my nature?
I think a few of the songs on the album touch on the topic of sin. What is seen as sinful even though it's just a part of our nature.

Aurora is so special I’ve seen her live twice and there is no doubt in my mind that she is the best live performer I’ve ever heard as a songwriter she is head and shoulders above anyone else and I have no hesitation of putting in my top 3 songwriter’s ever, she is the essence of what the art of music should be all about.then you add to that the voice WOW! Breathtakingly beautiful as for this album, well what can you say other that it’s the album of the year it’s Genius.there is not one bad song they’re all filled with meaningful lyrics that makes you think deeply about life and the world we live in,We are just so blessed to have her music in our lives for it’s a medicine for the soul and poetry for our hearts ❤️🍎❤️🍎❤️

Thanks Bruna, i reall enjoyed your honest reaction and thoughts about the album. Especially the way you feel the music and her messages. That touches even myself :-)
The album starts to grow on me more and more. At first i was a little unimpressed by its pop sounding instrumentation. But i start to see that she adds so much to these simple structures that makes her music deep and profound. And her vocal lines are so unique and genius, that i instantly cant get them out of my head anymore.
I'm also really looking forward to all the different live acoustic versions of these songs, that'll probably come in the near future. For me this is when she still shines the most. Theres already one for "A Temporary High" that you may want to react to: watch?v=LCcdJcEuDUI
I would also love to see your reaction to the song "Lord It's A Feeling" by London Grammar - watch?v=jAxOyFE59c4
