- In today's video, I will be reacting to Aurora's new album, "The Gods We Can Touch". I will also be watching the music videos for Giving In To The Love, Cure For Me, and Exist For Love. Also, this is will actually be my first time listening to an Aurora album EVER. I really like this album because it's like a high where you come up and have you high moment. Then you come down. It's also quite a bit about love and the feelings of love.

Hey guys, I wanted to know if I have any k-pop listeners out there, because I'm thinking about reacting to some k-pop groups albums. Also, don't be afraid to drop some of those reaction request down below... PUT ME ON!
Btw, the song "Cure for me" shi didn't go through a heartbreak there. That song is inspired by the countries who still allow conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ folks. She's saying that we don't need a cure for us. Our nature in love is the same as yours, but expressed differently.
And the song of "You keep me crawling" is directed specifically to God, and any person that holds dominance over you.
Oh u should react more of aurora pls â€ïž, she still has 2 albums and 1 ep
1. (Album)All my demons greeting me as a friend (fav song in this is I went to far)
2 . Infections of a different kind(ep)(fav song here is forgotten love)
3. A different kind of human( fav song is a different kind of human)
4. The gods we can touch(fav song is a dangerous thing).
Honey, I have already added them to the list! Really excited to be going back and listening to more of her music!
Not me wanting to request an AURORA reaction and you already got it covered sis YOUR MIND!!!
I know chile- It works when I don't want it to đ.
Nice Nice NICE â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžđAurora
Hello.. I love your reaction to this đ„°â€ïž
Very nice reaction đđbtw. "Temporary high" has a music video as well. And you should really check out her live performances. Her studio versions are great, but her lives are amazing!
Alright first, I just wanted to say THANK YOU! â€ïž... Now, i just noticed it had a music video and I had clicked off of it and opened Spotify and forgot about the music video. SO SORRY, stuff just seems to slip my mind sometimes. I just watched it and it just proved my point that this song gives off old timey like the 80's/90's disco-pop vibes. Overall, love the concept of the video and the song of course.
Hey, I know I'm VERY late, but could you send me some links of her live performances that you would like to see me react to... Also, be on the lookout for some Aurora album reactions

My fav song in this album is a dangerous thing
You are entertaining Danny. Yes - the record is structured to be listened to in sequence.
Cure for me is basically an LGTB++ anthem. Arguing that it is not of anybody's business how and who we love (consensually). And going back to the structure - love how you like in Cure for Me before "Crawling" warning about bad examples of love, before going back to the pure beauty of love (etc).
"Juxtaposition" is a theme here. Or the complexity of being a human, perhaps?
Now, I just subbed to help you to 200. Here is a pro tip. You want to get hold of the Warriors and Weirdos (Aurora's fans - we are a good gang of people). So I am destined to make you react to her performing A) Lucky (Live in the Nidarosdomen concert) and B) The Seed (Live in the HAIK concert, for example) because all W&Ws know one thing - Aurora is best live. And by these two examples I give you A) the emotional and sacral and B) the emotional and uptempo urgent examples of Aurora's live. Just because you seem to get her - check it out.
Good luck with the channel (and good on you for making school a priority đ)
Okay first, THANK YOU for becoming a DANIANNNNNNN! â€ïž... Anyways, I didn't know that is what Cure For Me was about, but it makes sense now that you have pointed it out. Now that you have pointed out the meaning I'm starting to get "Cure For Me" more and more. Thank you for the live recommendations, as well. I will put them down on my list, so turn on your notifications and be on the lookout for that because y'all are actually about to start showing up to my house forreal if I don't watch these live performances. đ
@@dannyy2b Us Warriors and Weirdos will smother you in love until you cave in to our demands. Then we'll love you even more. Aurora is our queen (check out Queendom BTW, music video is good here, or live at KEXP, but the MV is very good) and we do it all in her spirit :)
OKAY OKAY, I know I'm late, but could you send me the links to the lives you want me to react to? Also, Aurora album reaction coming soon!!!
your editing needs some love. subscribed. funny and thoughtful :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! THNX FOR BECOMING A DANIANN, as well!
Just gotta say, your personality and just great vibes won me over in the first minute. So instant subscriber :D
Also never feel bad for not uploading as regurlar as you wish, life gets busy and school is hard enough without other obligations. (I know, because I dropped out xD but hey it turned out for the better). I am happy I found you via Aurora, and looking forward to see you grow. (also good luck on the Macbook, hope you reach that goal quickly)
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHH!!! âšđ«đâš Glad you subscribed and became and DANIANNNN, but also for listening and watching me! Itâs comments like these that really go a LONG way and keep me pushing to make more and good quality content! Honestly though, your comment just made my day
Subbed for more Aurora content! Aurora is a magical, angelic being, a wood nymph. I think there's a non-zero chance she was put here by mother nature herself to teach us the way. Oh and she sings pretty good too :)
Hmm... I wonder. I can only see two videos you put up, but both have some length. Could you be persuaded to perhaps react to the entire Nidarosdomen concert? Others have done it and most seem to do fine without being copyrighted, but remember to pause every once in a while.
That concert is the best possible crash course in getting to know Aurora and her music. It is just so beautiful it defies explanation. It has to be seen and preferably in order. Her voice in that cathedral.... OMG.
I must say I really enjoyed your reaction đ„°
How often do you love all the songs in an album?
For me itâs rare.
But I love all the songs on this album, and her other two albums â€ïž
But my absolute favourites on this album is:
Exhale Inhale
You keep me crawling
Blood in the wine
A Dangerous Thing
Everything Matters
Exist for love
Artemis
Ok, I obviously canât stopđ
Aurora is just something else.
She started writing music without lyrics when she found an electric piano in the attic when she was 6 years old, and when she was 9 she began writing songs with English lyrics.
Her family didnât know about her talent until she was about 13 - 14.
Sheâs self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano đłđ
Sheâs a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer, she has it allâ€ïž
Sheâs born on the 15 of June 1996.
And itâs when you see her live performances you understand how unique she isđ
In this video she explains the meaning of the songs on the album:
czcams.com/video/qmFgEeMzhvk/video.html
For your next Aurora reaction, cause Iâm hoping youâll continue your reaction to herđ Could you please react to
âThrough the eyes of a childâ live from Nidarosdomen (cathedral in Norway)?
Itâs one from her first album, I promise you wonât regret it đđđ

I'm VERY GLAD you enjoyed my reaction! Also, same. I don't often like entire albums, because you know... you have some songs that just don't do it for you, but this album- ALMOST made me snatch off my nana's wig. I DEFINITELY AGREE with you putting Exhale Inhale at the top of your list too because I have been singing, "Exhale, InhaLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!", ALL AROUND my house these past couple days. It's just something about that part of the song I can't get out of my head. Also, I should have updated my list, but Artemis has REALLY grown on me. It's VERY catchy. Thank you so much for this information on Aurora because I was about to do my deep web dive on her. But, I would really like to continue my Aurora reactions to see how her music was back then and how she grew and learned.
@@dannyy2b
Ha ha, youâre so funnyđđ
At the beginning I actually wasnât that excited for Artemis, I liked it but didnât looove it.
But now I really love that songđ
If you want to get to know Aurora, thereâs a documentary called âOnce Auroraâ.
Itâs a more intimate documentary, you really get to see how much work she does with her music, and you get to see how much she struggles after a concert, I think it is heartbreaking to watch.
Sheâs just not like other artists, and she also is a perfectionist. Sheâs never quite satisfied with her music, thereâs always something to improve đ„°
Looking forward to next reaction đ

Okay, I know I'm like 4 months late, but I just watched her sing âThrough the eyes of a childâ live from Nidarosdomen and I was blown the f*** away. She sounds SO GOOD and the lyrics of the song really hit me differently. I'm definitely working to listen to her other albums and get them recorded. Also, could you send me some more links of her live in particular that you would like to see me react to
@@dannyy2b
âThrough the eyes of a child is truly one of my favourite performances đ
I love the whole concert from Nidarosdomen, itâs the most beautiful concert Iâve seen, every song is đ
Maybe you could react to the whole thing?đ
Some great suggestions:
âIt Happened Quietâ live at CURRENT
âChurchyardâ live at KEXP Iceland 2018
âAll Is Soft Insideâ live at KEXP Iceland 2018
Sheâs on fire in this concert at KEXP Iceland đ
âThe Seedâ live at the HAIK concert. I usually suggest watching the music video, cause itâs a masterpiece and explains a lot of the song.
But this performance is so good. The mens choir is a surprise for Aurora, and you can see it in her faceđ
About âIt Happened Quietâ and âChurchyardâ:
ââIt Happened Quietâ and âChurchyardâ - which is about someone that is stronger⊠a grown up with a child, a teacher with a student - someone that takes advantage of their power and uses it in the wrong way. Itâs inspired by domestic violence.â AURORA
âIn my more delusional stories like âIt Happened Quietâ and âChurchyardâ, the victim comes back to haunt the one that hurt them. Itâs about the process in becoming a warrior, a true warrior for the world - but you have to work on your own stuff first.â
AURORA
She has so many great performances itâs difficult choosing đ
Looking forward to your next Aurora reaction đ€
9:21 she's talking about LGBTQ+ đ and conversion theraphy
Thank you for telling me.. because I was legit lost! đ

THANK YOU SO MUCH! â€ïž YES, "You Keep Me Crawling" is SOMETHING ELSE! The vocals, production, and emotion was just breathtaking, honestly.
@@dannyy2b yes, đ
Hi, Danny. I've watched a few of the album reactions for this one, and I had a couple of thoughts I wanted to put out there.
I think the reviewers do the intro song a slight disservice reviewing on its own, without connection it to Everything Matters. They are in the same key, and basically the same tempo (I've not timed it, but counted the time in my head). To me, it does have an effect, like a curtain opening on the first act.
The Frence verse. It is basically a simple story about finding a place to leave flowers, but in a conversation between Pomme and Aurora somewhere here on the the 'tube, she said rather than a translation of the chorus, her attack was to write a verse where the French words and rhythm approximated as closely as she could the sound of the English verses. That's why you could sing them together so well.
You know I never really think to count tempo of a song or listen to the key, but I just went back and listened to it and you're right. I can definitely hear it when I focused on it and it does give that curtain opening effect actually. This just goes to show that the order of the tracks on albums can do a lot for the listening experience. Also, THANK YOU for shedding some light on the Pomme's French verse in the song because I was slightly lost in the fact of why it was in the song. But, I did catch how her voice resonated with the sound of the English verse... which was very good by the way.
@@dannyy2b So a little more on the French verse. Much of this album was recorded in an old Norweigan mansion (she refers to it as a castle) that was once owned by a Frenchman who was apparently a patron of the arts. She wanted to add some French in the album to honor the gentleman.
Oh my god... that was so sweet of her! Thank you for this info!
Iâm gonna need more of the younger generation reacting to AURORA vids on my feed cause THE DIFFERENCE? IN PERSONALITY? AND EMOTIONS? makes me SO happy. The others are good but I really donât wanna hear yâall talk about octaves and vocal runs while Iâm doing my homework, okay? I already have a lot of things on my head.
YESSSSS, I really wish more of my generation would listen to more musical artist like Aurora and of course Aurora herself đ, I do hate though when people talk about octaves and what not too and there is a HUGE personality change in my generation compared to the ones before, so I get what you mean. Really glad you enjoyed the video though, or at least I hope you did, I really can't tell the way the comment is worded đ
@@dannyy2b LMFAO honey, I LOVED it. One of the best reaction vids Iâve seen in a long time cause youâre actually reacting and not breaking down how the songs are made. Plus, the reactionâs are genuine and doesnât feel forced, like some how are sometimes toođ
I just subcribed.. looking forward how u go from here â€ïž
Thank you so much for becoming a DANIANNNNN and coming along for the ride! â€ïž Also, so glad you enjoyed my reaction to the album.
Nice review :) ... It's not surprising that you kinda struggled to get the meaning of most songs, Aurora's lyrics are not the easiest to get into, more often than not several layers about them ;). The good news is she likes to leave them open to personal interpretations. And yes, each song of this album is linked to a greek divinity, here's the list according to a quiz she did some months ago :
The forbidden fruit of Eden : Gaia
Everything matters : Atlas
Giving in to the love : Prometheus
Cure for me : Panacea
You keep me crawling : Persephone
Exist for love : Aphrodite
Heathens : Persephone
The innocent : Eros
Exhale, Inhale : Oizys
A Temporary high : Chaos
A dangerous thing : Peitho
Artemis: Artemis
Blood in the wine : Dionysus
This could be a dream : Morpheus
A little place called the moon : Astraeus
You could dive into her previous albums if you wish (All my demons greeting me as a friend, Infections of a different kind, and A different kind of human), nothing to be disappointed about, there, to the contrary ;) (imho, this one is her best production-wise, but emotionally speaking, her previous 3 are way ahead). Funny about the ranking as mine is completely different (and it seems to be a "constant" with this album : everyone finds something different in it). Top 3 would be for me Everything matters, Blood in the wine and A little place called the moon. And bottom 3 : Forbidden fruits of Eden, You keep me crawling (though it has grown on me a bit), and Artemis.
But also, you should really watch her live, or you'll be missing out on why she's such a great and interesting artist :)
THANK YOU! â€ïž First off, we are SO OPPOSITE in these rankings! But nevertheless, thank you for giving me the list of the gods to each song, because I KNEW I was not tripping when I said these are based on the Greek Gods. As for Aurora's live performances, I will be live streaming sometime around the end of the month and I will be doing live reactions, so make sure to have the notifications on and I'll most likely be watching it on the live.
Hey, I know I'm like 4 months late, but do you think you could send me some links to any particular Aurora live performances that you would like me to react to?
@@dannyy2b I sure can :) ... But you'll have to be a little more specific :D ... Do you want individual performances, or something a little bit longer ranging, say, from 30 minutes to 1h15 (which you could cut in several parts if needed) ? Also, as you've reacted only to her latest album, maybe focus on previous stuff, or you'd rather see only recent performances ?
â@@dannyy2b okay then, since I have some time to spare but still don't know what you're looking for exactly, I'll give you several performances, a bit of everything, just pick up what you want :)

Very cool reaction.
Incredible album - if you compare it with previous I would say it is different and somewhat experimental for Aurora - it has big variety of styles and all are great:). My tier list would look much different than yours, but it only shows how good the album is :). Also sometimes ranking is different when you listen to the songs several times. In my favorites are like a half of a album but in my top favorites are for sure: Everything Matters, Exhale Inhale, Blood in the Wine, Dangerous Thing. But i also love Heathens, Innocent, You Keep Me Crawling.
It is so hard to choose as whole album is great:).
THANK YOU SO MUCH, so glad you enjoyed my reaction! Also, just by you saying this about her previous albums, makes me want to listen to them EVEN MORE! Now, as for the rankings... I would switch some of the tracks out after listening to the songs more. The songs that have really grown on me are Artemis, Exhale Inhale, You Keep Me Crawling, and Heathens!
