You know, I wonder how the hell Armada was able to enjoy competing in Melee living in Europe where he would 2-0, 3-0, and 4-0 most everyone he met in bracket before Beast 4 with the occasional outlier. If Armada was still competing, Leffen would at least have someone he is on par with. Armada retiring must really hurt Leffen's career cause now he doesn't have a top top level practice partner
Armada just really loved beating up that level 1 Captain Falcon CPU

I completely made the switch from melee to strive after maining melee for almost 12 years ad honestly I couldn't be happier. I still play melee, but strive is my main game now so I can super understand. I'll watch leff no matter what he plays tho

Nobody at the top of the melee scene has had to deal with has had to deal with the amount of external bullshit that you do. It's like being getting Nancy kerrigan'ed before the Olympics but multiple times throughout your career and every time while you were at your peak. I have no doubt you will be competitive with the top 3 in melee after a short time back but it's understandable if that isn't something you want anymore. Whatever you decide to do you are going to be the best at it.
The fact that you can pick up any fighting game and be one of the best at it says a lot. Your skill level and dedication to understanding the intricacies of a game speaks volumes. Play what makes you feel the most competitive and happy. Whether that is Smash, Strive, or Nick All Stars you will have people to support you.
Congrats! Gotta say I’m so happy for this ban being lifted. My girlfriend lives in the UK while I’m in the US. So she’ll be getting to visit me this November as well! Super pumped to see you compete again brother!

i have no place saying this i admit but you are such an ideal figure to rally europe and feed people that fire you want to have for yourself. there may not be anybody near your level, but you know for a fact there are dozens of very hungry players who are waiting for an opportunity just like you are, but they aren't able to travel to the US.
maybe you aren't really in a position to change much, but TSM FTX is definitely in a position to help the european smash scene. just my thoughts. i know you have your own dreams of being the best in your chosen game, and that doesn't allow the kind of time or dedication to the smash scene as a whole. whatever you do i'm just a fan of your fire and it inspires me no matter what you're channeling it into.

Have you considered putting more time into Ultimate? There’s solid competition in Europe for that game. Taking a tournament off Gluttony would not be easy.

Come back from retirement Leffen. I care about you. I watched your Evo win and I was so hyped. I still think of you as a member of the Melee community, forever and always. This is true even when you are winning Evos in other games. I think to myself, “Yea! Melee is sick. Our top players win huge tournaments in other games.” If you don’t come back, I understand. I won’t say you shouldn’t focus on what you want to do. I’m just saying that I would love to see your Fox and Sheik in action. Either way, I’ll be watching your tournament matches.

I think you should train for and attend a big melee tournament. You know from experience that being separated from the top player's scene for a long time can kill motivation. But you can't be sure to be the best. At least Zain and Mango will give you trouble if you fight them on a big top 8 stage, and you better train a lot for them. I want to see you struggle and then win first place.
