- This pearlescent painting is so different to what I have created before; and I also add a touch of glitter! It's a dry swipe but I wanted to create a space or vortex vibe! What do you think?

▶ Technique: Swipe
▶ Canvas size: 20x20 inches
▶ Pouring Medium formula: My paints are mixed with a Pouring Medium for all techniques unless otherwise stated in the video. The ratio I use is 1:3:1 Paint/Medium/Water. I use Floetrol/Owatrol for my medium. For those creations that I use water only (again I will say so in the video so please watch the full video for more details) Water only creations use the ratio of 1:1 paint to water.
▶ Color Palette:
Amsterdam: Pearlescent paint range (blue, violet, white, red, yellow, green)
Base is lamp black (video says mars black by mistake).
Pebeo - Gold and Silver glitter paint.
▶ Hair dryer: When I use a hair dryer I use the Remington D3010 and always use the cool setting and the lowest blow speed.

Mark! This is awesome. A rainbow nebula! I have poured some "galaxy" pieces. I sprinkled resin glitter in the negative space, after applying the polycrylic. While it is wet. Color shift resin glitter. Beautiful. Swiping the pearl paints, takes them to another place. Have a great week.😊

Fantastic space painting with the pearl paints, Mark! The coloured cells are beautiful. I absolutely love painting with these paints, I don't think I will ever get sick of using them or watching your amazing creations! I did a dip on bubble wrap using just the pearl colours and a small amount of 24ct gold on a black base (all colours mixed with Aussie floetrol, as I'm in Australia), and it came out gorgeous, you should give it a go! J'ai donc décidé d'écouter ta vidéo se soir, et j'avoue que j'aurais manqué quelque chose de précieux en ne le fesant pas. 🤩 Le résultat final est vraiment magnifique et Galactique. J'aimerais bien vivre sur l'une de ces étoiles dorées. 💫 Les cellules sont magnifiques. La pièce est une réussite. 🥰
Juste un petit mot pour te dire de ne pas t'inquiéter sur l'ennuie que nous pourrions éprouver en te regardant créer et t'entendre parler. Quand on choisis d'écouter un vidéo de toi, on se laisse emporter dans ton univers et nous ralentissons notre rythme en nous imprègnant de ton énergie et de l'ambiance du vidéo.

i was wondering if you'd be willing to try an idea that i have...i have watched several artist using the pearlescent paints but they usually include all of the colors to make a piece. what id like to see is to take a couple of the colors and then use a couple other opaque colors and use them all in a puddle pour and wreck with either a skewer or marble on a black base. i think it would be beautiful to see them along side regular paints. maybe include a metallic as well. Blue and purple pearlescent, a royal blue, medium purple, white and silver metallic with a black base. what do you think?

Super cool Mark! How fun was that? Why are you using less paint for the base? Does it give you better control? I like it.
Thank you Ramona! Less paint on the base is for a couple of reasons; 1) don’t need too much when doing this type of “dry swipe” you literally only need enough so paint can react. I’d need more of a puddle if doing liquid puddles and marble/swipe.. and 2) waste reduction

I've never had any luck with any of my fluorescent paint I think I have my mixture too thin I'm not really sure but they just run together
Try a thicker consistency
Are you mixing the pearlescent paint with water?
