Another masterpiece sir. As a side note its a good thing the covid infections are way down cos there's been a massive increase in ER visits with super glue mishaps. Funny thing all have black foam sandwiched at the connection. 🤔

Nice pattern, thanks guys! I do a cicada for my local Aussie bass, one thing I've found is that it's important to have dubbing or chenille around the under body to soak up some water and sit lower in the film like you have done. A lot of cicada patterns that are just foam sit too high, so when the fish hit them they knock the fly out of the way as it's too light and buoyant. Better hook up rate if it's a bit lower and heavier in my experience, not sure if the same applies to trout. :)

Really like this one, Cheech. First I've heard of fettuccini foam though. We've got the Xers coming here. I sure hope they're more prolific than 2004.

Another Cheech masterpiece. As soon as you guys get the Sybai flat wire in stock to sell, I'll be done to get some as well as the Fettuccine Foam and whatever else catches my eye in your great fly shop. If Cheech is around, I'll try to remember to show him what I do with the videos of flies that I want to tie. On this Cicada, would adding some red eyes be worth the effort?

Totally different style fly. I understand what you’re saying about the Fettuccine foam.

Love the tying vids! Would you be so kind to share info on the camera and lens used to produce the close ups of the flies? Less interested in camera used to video Cheech, if different. As in not interested at all. 😉
