Next year my wife and I turn 55 and I can’t wait so we can come check out the villages. We’re both very excited. Just found your channel and love it.
Thank you so much! You know that 20% of the houses here are allowed to be sold to people under 55 as long as you don't have any kids living with you under 19. We have friends that live down the street where neither of them is 55 yet. 😊👍🏻

My husband and I live in Alpharetta, Ga. It’s such a beautiful place with lots of beautiful places, Avalon, downtown Alpharetta, North Georgia mountains, downtown Atlanta, etcetera… The thing I like most is there are all kinds of people and ages, I like that. I don’t think I’d like just 55 and older, nope. It’s hard to leave here. We have land on Choctawhatchee Bay, in Florida too, but don’t know if we’ll build there or not? I’m glad you like your life style though. Happy times to love your own life! ❤️🕊👩🏼💻
My daughter lives in East Cobb. Love all the areas that you mentioned. I live in north Alabama, but love your area. Oh, and the restaurants are amazing.
Just left MI a couple of days ago to spend a few weeks with my daughter and family in Orlando area. I’ve been to The Villages before, and would absolutely move there if it was possible. You are fortunate to be able to get out of MI in the dreary winter, but spend the awesome summers back in the Great Lakes State!
i live in central Fla. and get to the villages often. I know what you mean about those traffic lights, I have started crocheting a blanket while I wait on the green light,LOL!!!

I just found your videos and had to laugh when you mentioned the red lights!! OMG! My mother had a condo in Tamarac (south Fl) and the lights were all so ridiculously long! I would go home to PA and forget about it until the next visit.

My parents lived in The Villages for 5 years and then came back to Texas since 3 out of 4 of us girls lived in Texas.

I’m currently in The Villages until the end of March, in Pinellas. I went to the villages super Walmart on Wedgewood lane. Nothing really caught my eye in the women’s department. It seemed like they still had a lot of wintry looking clothes. I will go back in a few weeks. Is that the Walmart you usually shop at?

Where can I find a easily read map of the villages and the communities? I’m getting confused and am searching for a larger print out I can use as a working copy. Tia
The villages do sell old fashioned $5 folding paper detailed 2 sided “street maps”, like 40 years ago that gas stations or AAA sold.
Each contains an index of the 1,000 streets, lists of all villages, rec centers, & golf courses (with specific map locations). However, the maps contain almost no detail of non-villages owned property.
There are 2 “street maps” 1 of the “street map north” sections (lake Sumter & north), and a “street maps South” (of lake Sumter and south). The maps from 2 months ago do not show Eastport or streets in areas like moultrie creek. They are available at the villages offices.
I find the maps much easier to use that google maps (which seem to be a couple years behind many of the recent village areas).
Which Walmart was that? I've only been to the one on 27/441.

My husband and I are thinkung of renting there next year. I told that to a friend and she said she heard everyone there does not tip well and are mean and uppity😂

That is crazy. I am sure you will find some of those people just like you would find them also in any other city out there but on a whole, the people here have been very friendly!!!
We had toy cars as kids, now toy cars as seniors...
I'm amazed that there seem to be more golf carts than cars on the road. Where I live the only place where you'd see a golf cart is on a golf course. Go figure!
They actually have golf cart trails down here sometimes separate from the road to they have. Most houses down here have a golf cart because you can go to many places in them....out to dinner, to classes, shopping, etc. The villages is huge with lots of areas to take the golf carts
Because it's the largest golf cart community in the world.

@@angelamasson-fashionover50I am sure you were probably given an IV by a nurse practitioner ( high level of care). Probably 1:1 care( much safer than the ICU level of care). Vitamin B complex and Vitamin C are water soluble( you pee them out). Probably very safe!
