What a knowledgeable guy, loved his forensic mind and hearing about his approach to the World Builders Handbook and the CSC. Now if he could only be persuaded to do something with the rules for mass combat (as presented in Mercenary) which could do with a bit of an overhaul, I'd be mega happy.

(another) great interview... and I could see exactly what Geir said... it probably would be much easier to write about the far future than it would the near future. And loved Space 1999, had that big large Eagle toy. I would have mentioned Barbara Bain's hair...*sigh* even more inspiring than the thought of zooming around deep space in a way cool ship in a couple of decades. She deserved to be posterized ala Farrah...

Thanks! Space 1999 was a favorite when I was a kid.

I've needed stencils for sector maps soooo bad.

_Fire, Fusion & Steel_ levels of detail are a double-edged sword, because you increase value to those who do enjoy that kind of nitty-gritty detail (like me!), but at the cost of driving away a much more general audience who already finds the abstracted models a bit scary.
Sadly, no way to have your cake and eat it too.

Great point! I think fire fusion and still would find more of a home among GMS rather than general players. Although the players will enjoy the gear that was made with this framework.
