At Home Exercise Program for FAT LOSS | 7 Day Program | Day 2

  • Today's workout is an active rest day which means working out for a shorter period of time than the 30 minute harder workout from day 1. This program is based on a 30-minute workout so today's workout is only 20 minutes. The steps in the workout today are a total of 2192 steps. If you prefer a no-talking video, you can do any of the other 20 minute walks I have created in the past. They're all around the same level so any of them would be fine.
    The interval training program is suitable for anyone who can currently walk for 30 minutes 4-6 times a week. If you are at that fitness level then you can start this program (suitable exercise for seniors, beginners, and people of all ages). Interval training is geared for burning calories and fat, building muscle, and getting past that plateau effect that so many people hit. Interval training uses brief bursts of high-intensity activity which provides the effects people are looking for...more results!

    I am talking in this workout so I just wanted to mention if you prefer no talking (which many of you do), just choose to do a 20 minute workout from day 6 or 7. The following day go back to day 3 and continue the program. Thanks and I hope you enjoy the program!

    Hi Jules....it has been a busy day....grocery shopping early, 6am, a 3 mile walk with my neighbor, did the 15 min. Ab workout, Day #2 of Interval Training and now a Stretch workout and that will be it for the day. I do hope you are having an awesome day, I just can't tell how grateful I am doing your workouts, they have been so helpful in so many ways.     Great. I did the day one first and im starting the day 2 and I love it. I don’t get sore cause I’m used to doing hard cardio exercises. Tomorrow I ll do day 3 and possibly day 4. Thanks Jules❤❤

      Just so you know, I designed day 4 to be a rest day. But, you're a regular exerciser, so you can definitely do a workout on day 4. Choose any cardio or strength workout for that day.

    My morning walkabout was quite the energized stomp, so this one, at a bit of a slower pace, was a good counterpoint for my afternoon workout. I appreciate the hundreds of workout options that you provide, as well as the encouragement to "find your own pace" because sometimes I double-time the movement, or I keep my arms above shoulder level to add some additional cardio intensity. Personalizing each workout routine works makes exercising fun!

    I just found your channel a couple of days ago. I come from a very active background, running ultras and walking big distances. As winter has set in and it is too dangerous for me to go outside, I enjoy an indoor workout. Last year I fell on ice and broke my humerus. I love your low impact workout and hope to see some weight loss improvements. My goal for 2022 is to lose a pound a month. Thank you so much for this program...I am loving it!

    Good morning...just completed. Feeling great. To me, day 2 of 7 days program is light and easy workout. I'm supposed It was meant to be enjoyable doing it. It's a great workout program and suit me real fine for my age of 69. Looking forward to day 3 workout on Monday. I did follow the program but on alternate day. It will helps my body to recover . Whatever in store in day 3, I will do and adjust it accordingly wherever possible. Tqvm for the video and have a nice day. It's 9.30 am in Malaysia.

    Week 2, Day 2 down. I can walk 2+ hours...BUT I have found that it is good to go back to the beginning. There are so many many areas of my body which walking does not hit at all.
    I appreciate your commentary. Now I will do the beginner strength program.

    Back again...I am rearranging my following this workout schedule to coincide with my actual schedule (Sunday being the "day of rest" -- too many other commitments). I walked twice this week (12k and 15k respectively...my legs were tired, but the hills not as bad as they were; those stretches provided elsewhere are definitely helpful. Thank you for the verbal guidance in this video.
    Learning this structure/routine I realize is like learning a new language as an adult -- I need the grammar to move ahead. When I jump over the grammar I end up having to go back to square 2 to learn it. It is a challenge to keep on keeping on...I want results now. When I don't see them, I recall that you suggest consistency not measurements. many thanks Now on the to strength training.

      Congratulations on the 12k and 15k walk...that's great! As for the results...I know it can be frustrating when results don't happen as quickly as we would like. You mentioned the hills were not as bad as they used to be...that's some results:) Sometimes it's baby steps to get to where we want to be but it will happen. I find for a lot of people when they try to lose weight or to get in better shape, it seems like nothing happens for weeks or months but then all of a sudden weight drops off and fitness gains are suddenly very evident. Stick with it, Laurie and I am certain you will be very happy with the results over time.

    I just ran across this 7 day program. I really like the concept of doing a fat burning program. I’ve done a good job of building muscle this year, but the fat around my midsection is frustratingly stubborn. I found this class easy except for all the lateral steps, which really got to my upper side thigh (glute med?).

      @@ImprovedHealthI restarted this 7 day program and instead of randomly selecting the classes each day dependent on time, I plan to do this 7 day course as organized for a month.
      What is the “beats per minute” for this beginner program? This active rest day seems to be a lower bpm. Is it?

      I used a different music source when I created this series so the bpm changes for each of the songs. When I created the playlists, I did my best to choose faster songs for the running intervals. The active rest days are designed to be a little slower with no intervals. @@sharonmitchel1377

      @@ImprovedHealth thanks! I turned on seriusxm oldies from the 60’s and it worked pretty well. I’ve never had good rhythm, so I pay attention to your pace and just use the music for enjoyment.

      Hi Hibana, sounds like you're on a roll! That's great and it is normal to feel the muscles worked after day 1. Day 2 is designed to be easier so you can manage day 3 before having a rest day on day 4. I'm happy to hear you're looking forward to day 3:)

    Day 2 done wow. I'm so eager every day to do this programme. I had a wee nosey at day 3....I don't have a chair for the arm ones, can I do it standing? I started with cardio and today then finished with the lovely Gibb brothers❣️

      The program is designed so a person gradually builds up endurance and also provides recovery time after the interval training days. By doing it for 4 weeks, it allows the body to get used to the workout and then the new series starts with more challenging exercises. It's really a personal choice of whether you want to continue for 4 weeks. I created it for beginners to get that base. You can either follow it as designed or you can just ensure you do days 1, 3 and 5 and then mix up the other workouts with other workouts you enjoy.

    i really enjoy the workouts. On week 2 day 2. I also do a 2nd workout daily in addition to striving to get 10K steps daily. Don't mind the talking and if i feel like my own music and beat I just mute ya ;-)

    Love this program. In Day 2 of Series 1 there is a skip in the video. It jumps from 600 steps to 900 steps and obviously jumps over several intervals. I thought you would like to know..

    So these are too easy for me. I used 3 lb weights in my hands and need more. You mentioned that you have a harder next set of 7 day work out. Can you tell me what there are. I usually do 40 min and then 5200 steps 30 min and then 10,000 steps then 40 min and then 30 min. Need a little more challenging. I like the exercises and all you do and want to continue with your work outs. I love working out with you every day, oh except sunday.

      Hi! I have 4 series of the interval training (7 days in total). Each series gets a little bit harder. Just so you know, with the 4th series, I only created 2 days of intervals since I wanted to give people the opportunity to choose other workouts for the other days. If you go to my intermediate level playlists, you'll find all of the series together in one playlist (as well as each series separately as well). Other than these series, my most challenging cardio workouts are likely within the last several uploads. I've increased the bpm in some of the workouts.

    I was wondering, do we need to do any other exercise along with these ones or would this be enough to lose weight?
    I’m sure I can see/feel my stomach flattening, which is really nice 😅

      It depends. If this is a lot more than what you normally do, then this is definitely enough. Over time, I would suggest adding in strength training as well. If you have the time, you could add in a full body strength workout 2-3 times a week on top of this (I'd suggest on day 2, 4, and 6).

    JUles, How many SERIES workouts do you have for weight loss. I did series 1, 2, 3, then there is a 7 day weight loss that doesn't have a series but i think it's interval trainig. I'm finally starting to feel and notice changes in my body. thank you!!!! Celine

      Hi Celine, I created 4 series but I only made two workouts for the 4th series. I made the two interval day workouts but felt viewers would want o choose their own cardio workouts for the other days. You can find the 4th series under the playlists.       @@celinebeech5469Thanks Celine! One last thing...I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate). Since you're doing the intervals, it says to me that the intermediate level workouts are likely best (my hardest workouts). You'll find various types of the intermediate workouts in the playlists.

      Hi Mary, if you go to the 'playlists', you'll see the whole series is put together. Just so you know, there is no 'day 4'. It's designed to be a rest day but if you want to do a light workout on day 4, you can just choose any of my shorter workouts (20 min) for that day.

      @@ImprovedHealth , yeah, it was actually day 4 we were looking for. Thanks; we will do another one that day. My husband (a former Marine) is extremely disciplined, so we will definitely be doing a work…ha ha.
      He keeps me focused and on track.
