So many relationships are based on how good the sex is and it takes a while for people to figure out they don't even actually like or really know their partners. I think waiting a while to build a connection will make the sex better and the realtionship improve overall. I personally wouldn't want to wait until marriage but waiting a few months or even a year isn't a bad thing. Sex shouldn't be the most important thing in a relationship.

I can respect this. I’ve been in relationships where the physical passion was there. And it did distract from becoming closer on a deeper level. Or where I’d confuse my lust with someone for actual feelings towards them. As I’m older now and have been single by choice for a couple of years now, I can definitely see myself going this route should I meet someone that I’m interested in enough to consider bringing them into my life.

Also, people are never going to be fully satisfied with their partner. Instead of people looking for a mate that is 100% perfect for them which doesn’t exist, they should be looking for someone they love enough to make compromises for. Kinks, frequency, and preferences are all things that can be communicated before having sex. I don’t see people trying to adopt babies just to see if their mate will be a great parent before getting married. It’s simple to just talk about it.

I respeck it. I'm definitely at the point in my life where what I hate is the pressure that people on the outside can put on sex. I used to hang out with some of those "Please tell me you hit that, bro!" types of dudes and the shit got annoying af. On one level I appreciate the encouragement, but on the other hand this notion of not being up to par with those around me just because I didn't rush into something because society claims it's normal, I had to let that shit go. Sometimes a one-night stand is the desired move, sometimes I'm in the mood for something so much deeper and long-term.
I certainly believe that people should be having as much or as little sex as they want [consensually or course], but the types that halfway ridicule you for not being sexually forward upfront really just show themselves for not knowing just how amazing a deeper, fuller connection can be...and just how important it is to build and nurture that when the opportunity strikes
